Most pizza delivery guys and gals do use their own personal vehicle.. very very few use a company car. Domino's did design and get a small fleet for their a select few of their drivers.
I worked for Dominos back the in the 90's and all of the delivery drivers had to use their own vehicles and my store was a franchise but I think corporate stores were different.

How well does the radar pick up non-vehicles like bicycles? I use a bike to commute around town, and I know a few intersection I go through has radar detection, I am just wondering if the radar detects me.
In other videos, I’ve seen them doing installations in Mississippi. I’m next door in Louisiana, and our construction vehicles use green and yellow lights.
@macmedic892 thank you! It's so strange how lights have different meanings across the border. In alberta, our highway maintenance vehicles and tow trucks run yellow and blue

Electric vehicles are great for pizza delivery. Why would they run out of charge... stick a 7kW post in at the store and they'll top up just fine overnight. They probably do less than 100 miles per day too so even the cheapest type of EV like the Chevy Bolt is suitable.
man i wish my new signals would change that fast for me. its a two min wait for a side green. cars or no cars i have to wait 2 min day or night. i work nights and i have to wait at every signal with no traffic. all the new signals they installed last yr are doing it.
Could be because of the coordination plan between several signals along the main road. To keep coordination they have to run a specific time plan and a signal at another intersection could be holding it up for the rest
@@ramkidd123 yes you're right. And generally they don't run coordination plans all night unless it's a really busy corridor. So it may just be as simple as a detection issue

Thanks for going in depth about how they work, (I'm from the UK so this is fascinating for me)

That’s just like pavement marking, could be no traffic whatsoever but as soon as you start, everyone and their dog has to come drive all over it…
Dogs have wheels?

Traffic light tech seems very similar to elevator control tech. Guess that is PLC's for ya!
Which is better, radar detection or camera detection?
