It's not for nothing that music - just like painting - is an art. You can interpret so much, relate to people, and bring joy. The most important thing I learned from you is that we live in the NOW. Thank you Sangah for this teaching. It's nice to know you. ❤😃🎹🎙🎶🐕❤️

  • @stevem8149

Had to go out earlier but now back to finish watching.....
This is such a fascinating insight into your thought process...all the different aspects of what goes into a performance or a recording of an individual piece. As an A++ professional musician, I'm sure this is all second nature to you, but, for someone like me, a non-player, I am so impressed by the detail and expertise that can produce such improvisations and beautiful, different versions of what is essentially the same composition. The experience and pure talent needed to reach this level of understanding...of using the music...of creating this brilliant art is rare. Combine that with hard work and dedication and...well...here we are.
Thank you so much for this and thank you for allowing us, for a short time, to tap into that beautiful mind of yours and, perhaps, appreciate even more all that you do. Have a wonderful, relaxed week.😎❤

Kudos for sharing this perspective and your tips related to the creation of music against lead sheet melodies. I learned to play classical piano - but always enjoyed watching someone play popular "cocktail piano". I spent many years looking for the really good "arrangements" with all the notes. Hard to find. Never learned about "fake books" or "lead sheets". Or music theory. That has since changed. With your inspiration, I've now been studying the chords and theory needed to move forward. I've made real progess this past year. I owe you for all your wonderful renditions, and the sharing of your unique talent and thoughts. Many thanks!

I have your sheet notes and I love your arrangement a lot. I would be very curious to hear from you how you got the idea to use Asus2 instead of A (like the Beatles do) and what gave you the inspiration to use a descending bass line in the second half.

I find myself in your approach, Maestra, change chords, style, etc.depending on the moment. But.. One thing is play alone, another thing is play in a group. I can listen your chords, and even if you change them from the original song, understand them and make them that way too. But the chords, if we play together, must be the same. In italian language, "accordo" means "chord" and "agree" at the same time. If you and me , before play together, let's decide one grid of chords for one song, is normal, is.. an arrangement? Maybe.Oh, a real arrangement is an orchestral score... Or not? Not always. It's a way to get along. Maybe a jazz approach instead of a classical approach where all notes are written down? Oh no..jazz Is a big word...In other worlds, not all written, but a reference.. a structure. An open structure. You've change two chords, I see the grid that you've written , and I say: mh. You've change two chords. If we play together, we play this chords. Or.. not. You've changed two chords , saying nothing, and I notice it. Mh. And the next time you play is different? It's not a problem if we don't play together. If we play together, I say you: "shall we play your arrangement from last week?" 😂
I wrote this because I understand what you were saying and I agree. But there are people I know who don't really understand It.
    Respect🙏
