Won't Lie, I was on the Fence with wanting to record this one. Raising someone like a Child, only to fall in love with them, does feel squicky to me. But I decided to go through with it for two reasons. One - They weren't related in any way, since it was his friends' Daughter. And 2 - They waited till she graduated College, so while there is a Major age gap, they are both grown adults, and he made her be apart from him to help her sort her feelings (as well as his own) before committing to a relationship. I still don't 100% like this kind of story, and I don't blame anyone else for not being ok with this, but this was likely the only way a story like this could be told without crossing the line completely.

yeah Exactly. I love a family dynamic story where it centralized of the struggles of raising a child either related or not. Raising someone out of family love is wy way different that romantic love.
IT IS LEGAL TO MARRY A NON RELATED PERSON, HOWEVER TREATING SOMEONE WHO YOU LOVE WITNESSING HE/SHE GROWING UP, AND THEN STARTED FEELING DESRIES FOR HIM/HER IS JUST UNNATURAL. Love is challenging, compassionate, desires, passion, romance, familiar, connections, eternal, happiness, arousal, or even for yourself these types love are all you can share, but there are boundaries on every individual whose perspective may be similiar or different is is always important to respect the love they have. And tell them honestly how you consider Love
Age gaps aren't that big of a deal anymore. Lots of younger women and men looking for older love interests these days. At least they didn't make it like he groomed her to be his wife when she grew up. That's just wrong! The FMC growing up and falling in love with the man that raised her isn't as uncommon as people like to pretend. Especially in other countries. Here in the U. S. DHS would have fought tooth and nail to take her away from him. And unless he could provide legally registered documents like a living will, he wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.

Great work. This story was touching. Love and happiness should always win. It takes different shapes, sizes and forms. While many can have issues with this or many things. I believe when two people who love, want to be together and make each other better should be together no matter the circumstances. Finding and having that love and relationship is far too rare.

Masato wasn't wrong that Yui was starting to be too attached to him, even reaching stalker levels of attachment when he only viewed her as a daughter.
I think she had needed psychological help right after her mother passed. She can't stand the thought of loosing another person that is important to her.

Yeah, this is all types of wrong. I've been surprised a few times by these types of stories. Its to the point that I'm now skeptical about any story where there is an adoption with no clear love interest for the guy at the beginning. Luckily I skipped to the ending to make sure I wasn't going to waste my time watching a video that will just make me feel grossed out part way thru.

Gotta be honest, the mangaka missed an opportunity here. I think this story would have worked better had the co-worker been given more screentime to develop her as the main love interest instead. She and the MC could have been like the parents the daughter never had. The father/daughter dynamic coulda been perfect...only to have it thrown away by immorality. Aww well.

She really would bot take "No" for an answer with all the surveillance cameras and listening devices.😂 But it was really sweet that the two could become a couple at the end.🥰 Mostly because he's the only one who could handle her possessiveness and stalkerish personality.😅

This one is a very tough one. Masato and Azusa were childhood friends, although he didn't recognize her as a girl; and, eventually she met up with Yamato senpai, who, while kind, ultimately got her pregnant. Yui, once born, had a rough go from the start, losing both Dad and Mom early on. Masato took her in with a promise, which she took too literally. Both had a rough time, as she saw him much differently than he saw her, which created more issues. University time gave them the space (or, so he thought; thanks to the cameras) to sort their feelings. For Masato, the co-worker would have been a better choice, seriously...but, the truly redeeming factor: Masato x Yui weren't blood connected. Still, a tough one all around. I guess one could say Yui was happy in the end, but, really...was she? 🤔
All that is good in this video is that at least MC is the giga chan

God, I hate Usagi-Drop stories like this one. This story had a perfect chance of avoiding that, especially with the kouhai's presence, but it just had to squander it.
I think that Usagi Drop did a GREAT job of showing exactly how incredibly wrong the whole thing is. I don't know if that was the mangaka's goal in particular, but literally everyone I know -- myself included -- found the pivot of the relationship into romance to be stomach-churning.
