The distorted voice you can hear in the 16m and 8m is the most terrifying part to me. It sounds like a monster trying to iron out it's impression of a human voice.
A killer that takes the appearance of other survivors in order to get close to you. I think it would add a new element to the game that actually requires you to study your teammates for odd features.
The PTB versions of a few killers' chase music was a lot more noisy & got toned down for release due to negative feedback. It's really a shame because some of them were really distinctive and clever. Like Xeno's had the Nostromo self-destruct alarm blaring in the background. Check out PTB chase music for Ghostface and Xeno, they're super sireny and panicky imo. I like them a lot but I can see why the majority of the playerbase would find them distracting LOL.

I know absolutely nothing about the mandela catalogue, but I keep coming back to hear this menu theme. The feeling it gives off is so confusing and unnatural, otherworldly yet close to home. The chase music doesn't sound like something I'd jam out to, and that's not a bad thing. The chase music feels incredibly terrorfying and makes it really feel like everything has gone south and all we can do is hope that we can escape. Also, with the release of the new killer, having a Mandela Catalogue doesn't seem impossible and would be even cool seeing something that was made by a few people be added to a big game like DbD.

He's more so an observer, a watcher, making sure everything is in order and going to plan with Freeman, plus he's under the watchful eye of his employer's and they probably wouldn't collaborate with the entity, since they have their own goals in mind involving only the mainline Half Life universe
New killer: The Alternate Speed: 4.6 m/s Height: Average Terror radius: 32 meters / 16 meters The Alternate starts the trial in his main form of Gabriel (The creepy Angel one). He builds up his power by filling survivor's Paranoia meter. Things, that build up Paranoia meter from slowest to fastest (every term, such as TV, Second Type form, etc. will be explaned): - Being in killer's terror radius - Being chased by the killer - Being in active TV's radius - Looking at an active TV - Being chased by the killer in Second Type form TVs: 5 unactive TVs randomly spawn on the map. Whenever survivors get into 16 meter radius of TV, it will become active and remain active until all survivors leave this radius and stop looking at TV. Active TV shows a bunch of footages with Intruder as homage to og Mandela catalogue. If TV remains unactive for 45 seconds, it randomly teleports to another location. Vulnerable status: Survivors with full Paranoia meter become Vulnerable. From now on, The Alternate can turn into one of Vulnerable survivors, changing default form to Skinwalker form. In Skinwalker form, The Alternate loses his terror radius. He also can interact with everything survivor can interact, but objectives will not gain progress, it will only make an illusion of it. In Skinwalker form The Alternate can damage only one survivor and that survivor is the one he turned into. That survivors aura is revealed to The Alternate every 30 seconds, while in Skinwalker form. Attacking that survivor will instantly make The Alternate turn into Second Type form, but to turn into this form it's not compulsory to attack survivor. The Alternate can change forms from default to Skinwalker and from Skinwalker to Second Type everytime he likes. In that case, transformation takes about 3 seconds. Second Type form: The Alternate turnes into horrificly deformed survivor. He gains 16 meter terror radius and now can attack every survivor. Second Type form lasts 60 seconds. At the end of 60 seconds, The Alternate transforms back into Main form and will be able to transform again only after 20 seconds. In Second Type form The Alternate gains two more special abillities: Mindbreak and Deadly grip. Mindbreak: The Alternate creates a small circle area infront of himself. Shortly after, everyone in that area will scream and instantly become Vulnerable. Vision of every survivor in that area will be obscured by Alternates' jumpscare for the short period of time. This abillity has a cooldown of 5 seconds. Deadly grip: The Alternate's arms extend forward. If they hit survivor, survivor gets grabbed and pulled to The Alternate, even over pallets and windows, and the gets hitted by The Alternate. If Deadly grip didn't hit survivor, but hitted wall, locker or floor, The Alternate can pull himself forward, even over windows and pallets. This abillity has a cooldown of 5 seconds. Dealing with Paranoia: The only way to slow down progress of Paranoia meter, stop it, or even regress it is being near or interacting with another survivors. The more there are, the more affective is slowdown. Perks: Dark reflection: You are a reflection of all dark sides of humanity. This perk activates after downing a survivor for 30/35/40 seconds. While this perk active, survivors will hear your terror radius as follows: First half (32-16; 24-12 and etc.) - as usual Other half (16-0; 12-0 and etc.) - reflected Instead of layer 16-0 it's gonna be layer 16-32 This way, when you are near survivors, they will think that you are almost gone and went the opposite way. Trust issues: Countless times you've fooled them haven't taught them anything, but paranoia This perk activates after 3 gens are completed and deactivates after the last gen is done. While this perk is active, every survivor, that starts to repair gen, will hear a 16 meter terror radius around every other survivor and 10/15/20 seconds after they get off it. False savior: They feel the safest right when death is around the corner This perk activates whenever one survivor unhooks another. While both of these survivors are closer than 8/10/12 meters radius of each other, they both suffer from Oblivious and Exhausted status effects. If these survivors manage to split, savior becomes Exposed and unhooked survivor becomes Broken. This perk deactivates either if unhooked survivor is healed or one of these survivor gets downed

The killer has the ability to mimic survivors for a short amount of time. Basically turning into a random survivor and also uses they're equipped cosmetics beshdes charms. It has weird movements wich makes it easier to notice who's fake for survivors. After a killer transforms into and from a survivor they get a small stagger but any nearby survivors get blindness for 30 seconds
Looking back, in addition to a killer alternate, I think it would be pretty neat to have a survivor alternate. Like, they still play the same as any survivor, but all their animations are just… off. Their voice sounds just slightly wrong. Maybe their blood’s the wrong colour.

The 32 meters is honestly my favorite part. It sounds half-normal and half off putting , but also gives the vibe that you hear something outside at midnight when your watching tv
this is so cool??? it's always awesome to see how you take apart and adapt different things into music! huge fan of the menu and how tense the build-up is, i mean it in the best way when i say that id freak the hell out if i heard it in game. the chase in particular is amazing, the cacophony of sound-- something is clearly *wrong* and its' sounds so fun. and the beat absolutely slaps

Man, this is a top notch job! The menu and the 32 meters really sound disturbing, like something that shouldn't be is in your room. And the "your skin, is not your own" in the Chase was perfect like the theme. It's like a warning telling you the Killer wants you dead, NOW.
I've really got to say. This is the best menu theme I've ever heard. It has this dreadful and paranoia and insane sound, especially with the "Ehh uh Ehh uh Ehh OO eh UH ahh ahh" after the guy says "only time" it's very nice.
Imagine if a Mandela Catalogue killer could drive survivor's insane kinda like doctor but like instead of loosing the ability to perform specific actions they go insane and gain a sort of condemned like sadako and if they don't get rid of it in time they kill themselves or something I feel like that would be cool like if you get fully driven insane the survivor just does something random that kills them self obviously that wouldn't work for dbd because they don't want people committing suicide but just a thought I guess. It would make the killer feel more like a real alternate since they do that in the series.
The previous chase theme you did which was cyberpunk sounds like as if a hulking monster was after us and now this theme has turned a analog horror jump scare into a chase theme but it doesn't sound like a mess but rather as if i literally AM GOING TO DIE and this...THING is gonna take my place Edit:i also realized i commented twice

The Alternate creates a small circle area infront of himself. Shortly after, everyone in that area will scream and instantly become Vulnerable. Vision of every survivor in that area will be obscured by Alternates' jumpscare for the short period of time. This abillity has a cooldown of 5 seconds.
Deadly grip:
The Alternate's arms extend forward. If they hit survivor, survivor gets grabbed and pulled to The Alternate, even over pallets and windows, and the gets hitted by The Alternate. If Deadly grip didn't hit survivor, but hitted wall, locker or floor, The Alternate can pull himself forward, even over windows and pallets. This abillity has a cooldown of 5 seconds.
Dealing with Paranoia:
The only way to slow down progress of Paranoia meter, stop it, or even regress it is being near or interacting with another survivors. The more there are, the more affective is slowdown.
Perks:
Dark reflection:
You are a reflection of all dark sides of humanity.
This perk activates after downing a survivor for 30/35/40 seconds.
While this perk active, survivors will hear your terror radius as follows:
First half (32-16; 24-12 and etc.) - as usual
Other half (16-0; 12-0 and etc.) - reflected
Instead of layer 16-0 it's gonna be layer 16-32
This way, when you are near survivors, they will think that you are almost gone and went the opposite way.
Trust issues:
Countless times you've fooled them haven't taught them anything, but paranoia
This perk activates after 3 gens are completed and deactivates after the last gen is done.
While this perk is active, every survivor, that starts to repair gen, will hear a 16 meter terror radius around every other survivor and 10/15/20 seconds after they get off it.
False savior:
They feel the safest right when death is around the corner
This perk activates whenever one survivor unhooks another. While both of these survivors are closer than 8/10/12 meters radius of each other, they both suffer from Oblivious and Exhausted status effects. If these survivors manage to split, savior becomes Exposed and unhooked survivor becomes Broken.
This perk deactivates either if unhooked survivor is healed or one of these survivor gets downed

The killer has the ability to mimic survivors for a short amount of time. Basically turning into a random survivor and also uses they're equipped cosmetics beshdes charms. It has weird movements wich makes it easier to notice who's fake for survivors. After a killer transforms into and from a survivor they get a small stagger but any nearby survivors get blindness for 30 seconds
That was creepy as fuck, especially when you saw the videos, jeez what a bad feeling I have after this, that means you did well, keep up the good work
Looking back, in addition to a killer alternate, I think it would be pretty neat to have a survivor alternate. Like, they still play the same as any survivor, but all their animations are just… off. Their voice sounds just slightly wrong. Maybe their blood’s the wrong colour.

I've really got to say. This is the best menu theme I've ever heard. It has this dreadful and paranoia and insane sound, especially with the "Ehh uh Ehh uh Ehh OO eh UH ahh ahh" after the guy says "only time" it's very nice.

Imagine if a Mandela Catalogue killer could drive survivor's insane kinda like doctor but like instead of loosing the ability to perform specific actions they go insane and gain a sort of condemned like sadako and if they don't get rid of it in time they kill themselves or something I feel like that would be cool like if you get fully driven insane the survivor just does something random that kills them self obviously that wouldn't work for dbd because they don't want people committing suicide but just a thought I guess. It would make the killer feel more like a real alternate since they do that in the series.
