Fry....I love them and listen to them daily but cmon, it's just fry. Even I can do that stuff
@@matin2825 Just because you can do fry doesn’t mean that’s it’s easy for everyone. Also, fry takes years to get to the level he’s at. It’s refined with extremely clean distortion. I may be wrong but I highly doubt you can execute it as well as him
Another solid vocal coach for the "push through your voice crack" style of screaming is Chris Liepe. He puts things in such easy to understand, succinct and palatable ways. Highly recommend. He does more clean singing stuff than metal, but he's got plenty of metal stuff as well.
I would like to hear your thoughts on Dir En Grey's vocalist Kyo, he has a ton of different vocal techniques that hardly makes you think that one single person can cover all of the band's vocals. He's known mostly for his whistle screams, check out Dir En Grey's song "Midwife" if you're interested, please

Yo Ben, thanks for the kind words! To be honest, we're not really a touring band, and haven't been for quite some time. All of us are at a place in our lives where, outside of the occasional show or festival appearance, we're not really interested in being a live band.
Saying that, we do actually have a number of very cool and big Kardashev stuff in the works that we're super excited for, so be sure watch this space!
So the Wilhelm scream was recorded first in 1951 for the movie "Distant Drums"

Hey mark I don’t know exactly if any of your videos really talk about just breath support it would be cool if you made a video strictly on how to use your air, because I’ve been practicing vocals for a little over a year now, but I still have trouble managing my air I find myself to not being able to hold out a long guttural or getting light headed. So it would be really helpful if you made a video strictly on air control thanks!

@Inspire VR all I said was it kinda reminds me of him cause he’s using a lot of his real voice and it sounds really raw, similar to how Corey sounded on the first two records. Also, they both do those grunt-like noises that are supposed to convey more emotion and pain. Btw, what does being tone def have to do with anything lol, do you know what that means?

I'd really like to see a "Sworn In" song done with Tyler on vocals. I loved his reckless and relentless screaming, but He had some major voise issues. Im wondering if the issues were due to poor vocal technique or health issues which I know he went through as well...
I think that Tyler had huge problems with his technique. Because it always seemed like he had to put way too much effort into his screams live to achieve the distortion for his screams. Sure it worked in the studio were he could do multiple takes and take a few breaks every now and then but live were everything is done in one take it became more and more difficult.
