For today’s video I’m taking on the very popular Bleu De Chanel and asking which is better out of the EDP or Parfum version of this popular fragrance.

To me the parfum lasts 12+ hours on my skin with moderate projection. Honeslty just go for more sprays and it'll project more. The EDP smells fresher and spicier to my nose, lasts a good amount (not as long as the parfum) and has slightly better projection but not by a long shot. Parfum smells better, I'd go for that.
I agree, I usually carry a small atomiser and top up every 5-6 hours when I’m using it, thankfully one you can overspray and not choke yourself out! Love the EDP will be getting it very soon! Thanks for watching 😊

@MrGiddyT which atomizer do you use? I'm not sure which to use I keep hearing many of them have leaking issues.

Great comparison! I always hate when expensive fragrances don't have good longevity. The bottle is lovely, though! I always love the magnetic caps!

I could listen to you all day, this scent description is so on point! My first encounter with this fragrance did not blow me away, maybe it's because Jeremy Fragrance goes on and on about how amazing it is and it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I too think the parfum is much nicer Great review ❤️

Almost all reviews say this smells like fresh out of the shower scent. Can someone tell me which shower gel smells like Bleu de Chanel? Cause I’m gonna buy a gallon of it.
😂😂😂 I think it’s just the fresh soapy citrus vibe of a lot shower gels which gives a similar smell. for me in the UK I think of radox shower gel, but that still doesn’t do it justice!

Axe Appolo will get you in that realm in my opinion.
Damn that must be a skin thing. I get 10hrs with the Parfum and 14+ hr with nauseating projection with the EDP. The Parfum is by far the best smelling version. I also own the EDT that's perfect for spring and summer

@Christopher Moore id say on a kool summer night.. but on a really humid warm day I'd wear the edt

I think the projection is slightly better with the Parfum but it lasts on me around 5 hours and bit longer on clothes.
Yes exactly! Got the parfum thinking it would last longer and have better projection. But personally I have found that the EDP lasts longer and has a slightly stronger scent. I honestly would consider thé parfum a more daily scent whereas the EDP I prefer when going out.
Absolutely agree with you, the parfum definitely sits closer to the skin, maybe the more concentrated oils are the reason. I still love the scent and will get the EDP soon 😁

BDC is my all time favorite which I could use in anytime and occasions❤
I repurchased BDC EDP around 10 times.
I used the Parfum once but not completely (has fallen and lost the juice, however I wiped it by a tshirt which still smells the fragrance since 3 months!!)
To me, The BDC edp has the amazing opening while the parfum has the dry down.
I didn’t try the EDT yet.
I wish both of them has a better performance. I don’t know if I got the noseblind or about the performance itself😢
I usually carry a travel spray from Chanel as well to reapply all the day 😊
BDC is amazing, sorry to hear about the parfum breaking! 😱 I love the EDP I tried the EDT recently and while I like it, I find t a little sharp in the opening.
I think the juice itself has gotten weaker as it’s been reformulated sadly, I still think the parfum will always be with me! It’s a classic!

Good review/comparison. I have all 3 versions of BDC. I think the Parfum is a masterpiece, though. It’s so beautifully blended. I had conversations from the department store I bought the Parfum from and Chanel in London and I had a better idea of how the fragrance works and performs. It’s the higher alcohol content that makes the EDP project further than the Parfum. Projection from the Parfum is only around 1-2 feet, but it leaves a lovely scent trail afterwards. Those in close proximity to you will pick up the scent. It’s more of a subtle power fragrance. I reach for the Parfum when I wear a suit or blazer. If I could only choose one concentration it would be the EDP, though.
Yes I agree, I’m planning on getting the EDP, I think it’s more versatile for everyday like you said. The parfum is so smooth and makes me feel incredibly elegant and put together. A masterpiece indeed! Thanks for watching! 🤩🙌🏽
@@I_am_gids the flanker that gets the most compliments is the EDP. I wore it to work last Wednesday and within minutes of entering the building a voice said “you smell wonderful!”

I agree with the opening of the parfum. I sniffed it one day at my local Sephora. I think I just love the scent of Bleu de Chanel tbh. Lol. But for the sake of my wallet, EDP all day. Great video!!

What's going on Gids my fragrance brotha? I've only tried the edt and the edp. My favorite is the edt cuz I get better projection/longevity but very moderate with the edp. Haven't tried the Parfum yet. Anyway, thank you brotha for that great review as you always do!!!! "THUMBS UP"

For me, the parfum version lasts longer, but project less than edp

Had EDP for some times and really love it, and few days ago a friend bought me a Bleu de Chanel Perfume in contrary to what I requested which is EDP, tried it and gosh the dried down smells too much of sandal wood like that's literally the only thing left on my skin, and I'm not a fan of it makes me nauseous. The beginning is pretty much the same. I prefer EDP as it's fresher(lemon), spicier(pink pepper), cooler instead of warmer like the parfume, and the dry down is actually more complex, I don't know what's in it but it's just got so many layers of wood scent. EDP is pretty much suitable for almost everything even for gym. I also like the soapy and even a slight powdery on EDP. To me parfume edition is more mature, and gosh that sandal wood really bothers me, it's very warm and more classy though
Interesting, the parfum definitely has the rich sandalwood accord which gives it a more distinct character. I’m definitely feel the EDP has more versatility. Will be getting a bottle soon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and watching 😁🙌🏽
@@I_am_gids Had to swallow my pride now. After few days, the parfum isn't too bad and I started to love the dry down. It's actually very subtle, sweet and creamy in contrary to the EDP version which is louder and citrusy.

i absolutely have to agree i love the way this fragrance opens up but 45 minutes later it waves goodbye however i still like it i just wish chanel would have done more intense testing before it was released i wont be purchasing another bottle unless the performance gets better
I agree and understand where your coming from! I think because of the higher quality of natural ingredients it does sit closer to the skin, I do still enjoy wearing it. I recently took it with me on holiday to Spain where the weather was warm and it perfect but topped it up every 4 hours or so. I also sometimes layer with escentric molecules which does slightly help….. I’m going to test out the newer batches and report back on all three concentrations! 👀🤨🕵️♀️😁

Truthfully i think the edt is better but stronger and louder than the EDP but the Parfum is far superior to the EDT

The parfum and EDP, overall I’d like to own the EDP next, sadly however current formulations of this aren’t great, in my humble opinion in termed of performance. Sadly nothing comes close to BDC in my opinion 😁👌🏽
I just bought a 3.4oz bleu de chanel edp off of Mercari, and it reminds me of my ex fiance, lol. I think I'm gonna get the parfum. Hopefully it doesn't remind me of her.

Hmmm depends on what you enjoy, I love Essenza from Aqua Di Parma, Dior Homme Intense and Terre D’Hermes equally 🙌🏽
