This is absolutely beautiful and I am amazed by how easy you make it look! If I were to make this using a smaller stone, I'd only have to take the measurements a bit, right?
Not really, you'd still need the same length, except maybe for the 120cm one. that can be a little shorter. However I'd recommend it longer than shorter

0.5 -1mm polyester/waxed cord at 0:57 I'm pretty sure you can buy it on ebay, amazon or a fabric shop

I gave started this piece several times and finally got my stone wrapped but it is still too loose, and I don't see what is to be done with the short loose ends?
Probably due to cord mine too was loose. Tied with crochet and then continued to macrame
