You are the best captain. I was having the search all day and luckily I ve discovered your channel. You made it simple with great details. Thank you for your excellent work!
That was a great hard-worked video Sir, I have a question, ADS-B transponder was the one that was on flight MH370 as well, How come just turning off one switch just disables everything ? don't you think this needs a modification itself ?
Thank you for your comment and question. ADS-B has been developed mainly for ATC, beside ADS-B do exist additional „protocols“ to transmit aircraft data (a wide range of data are possible dependent on airline/operator demand) and this data transfer can not be switched off in the cockpit. The missing „data until disappearance“ must have other reasons.
@@CaptainFrankDreyerA380 understood! then what happens if a transponder is turned off? the official reports of MH370 suggest that plane disappeared from secondary radar because of a transponder turn off, and pilots did not sent any stress signals to the ground. this implies that if pilot/pilots does not use those protocols to transmit data, the data shall not be transmitted?
I'm flying over a class b airspace and I set up a two-way radio communication and transport bonding on mode c altitude reporting I am transporting within 30 nautical miles of airport Kennedy within 10,000 ft msll right now and I am at VR attacking I have fire operations I will be flying in pretty soon for a pre-flight landing operations

8:52 I believe there is a wrong information at that part. ATA34 is actually navigation and surveillance refers to ATA Chapter 93.

Everything has changed into digital (even AI) but is still machinery in cockpit analog?

2:19 - TCAS (Traffic Alert + Collision Avoidance System)
you saved me
Is It possible to choose exactly the mode “A” at a380 xpdr?
3:18 - ACAS (Airborne Collision Avoidance System); ACAS = TCAS
Does ADS B transmit if transponder is switched off?
normally not. unless the aircraft is built with an independent ADS B power source and transmitter/receiver system.
