His holy will abideth.
I will be still whate’er He doth,
and follow where He guideth.
He is my God, though dark my road.
He holds me that I shall not fall.
And so to Him, I leave it all,

The wise sometimes go hungry and the educated don’t always lead successful lives according to Ecclesiastes 9 as the “chance of being in the right place at the right time” is altogether decided by God’s sovereignty which is all comprehensive, and all embracing from life to death, Ecclesiastes 3. Jim Elliot was martyred and didn’t live to see the day the chief of the tribesmen who ate him up, converted. Nor did Abraham live to see Joshua’s success.
God’s sovereignty is a sobering as well as comforting thought; it is excellent that God reminds us WHO (He) is in sovereign and loving control, so, we need to embrace His sovereignty by accepting by faith, all our sorrow, pain, persecution, accident, illness and neediness as coming from Him, Isaiah 45, Job. And then rest in His love and God-given unfathomable peace, assuredly, praise Him.

Alleluia praise be to the sovereign God
At first, I thought it was a little offensive as my initial response was that the musical mood was off and did not warrant such staccato, but I thought of scripture, "Rejoice in the Lord always." There is an eager expectation that we take up our cross daily; and the promise of Christ gives us ultimate hope and comfort. The mood is quite biblical after all. Of course, this is all just an interpretation.
