WOW dude! Nothing beats one of those original models in the box. This box is a little beat up and unfortunately I dont have the original parts it came with, but still better than most electrics, ahahah! You know what I'm saying!!!
Some of you know I started with a NRS4 2 (porsche body, wanted Viper but it was out of stock). Finally bought a NRS4 3 2 years ago, got a used one and ended up upgrading most parts. Carbon fiber shock towers, upper deck, OS CVRX .18 motor, rotostart, cvec exhaust. Put higher speed diff gears, filled with diff fluid (used rtv to seal them to the chassis since there's no diff housing gasket.
That was my first nitro also, the very first HPI Nitro RS4-3, called the RTR3 at the time. I still have a 100% original one at this point also, love it. Not very fast with the stock .15FE engine, but it's reliable and easy to work on.
Dimitriy, below answers to your claims: 1. Rarest and most expensive (31:00): Not exclusively. The HPI Savage Octane is for sure. 2. All factory RS4 3 SS woven carbon/graphite upper plate (31:19): This is not accurate! RS4 3 SS, Factory parts were made by plastic with Part Nr. 85029 and 85033. Since you have the original car box, you can confirm it with the pictures on top. Even factory shock towers were plastic (Part Nr. 85031. Your car has hop-up parts. 3. Any other 10th scale HPI with factory woven carbon/graphite upper plate (31:23): Yes, there is one, HPI R40.
Hey man! I love this answer, and I appreciate the effort you put into it. Just to keep our convo going I'll answer you with my best efforts. 1) I will admit the Octane is more expensive, but my claim was referring to the (Stage-D Drift option as a whole, not the entire chassis or the model itself) 2) In the limited time I had to make this claim and read comments I skipped a few rare models as you have included. I was only referring to RTR models at this time, not the SS kits (and also not the HPI Proceed or the R40). 3) Good point on the R40 model, I did not intend to include ALL HPI models, was really kind of thinking of the rs4-3 RTR series for this claim.
Hey my fellow Nitro Brother! Yes, I totally agree, you cannot have enough of the RS4-3 models. This one is pretty rare, but I wish the original 12RSS engine was included in this deal, but it's not. Also the engine has about 50% dead compression unfortunately!
Hey bro! I'm glad you brought that up! I actually am working ok a Thunder Tiger TS4N video this month, I recently got one (a cheaper single speed model though). I would say the HPI RS4-3 chassis is a little superior because it's shaft drive and there are still some parts being made for them at this point.
Thanks for replying - the TS4N’s are pretty cheap here in the UK, can get a nice one well under $200. The HPI RS4’s can command up to $450-$500 for the best examples. I have the TT and was wondering if the RS4 is worth the extra… they both had similar new retail prices…
That's the type ss with the optional drift engine relocation kit. Purple chassis in box is the original touring car chassis! I know because I have this car new in the box from 2002 minus the drift chassis. My car has never been run or had any electronics installed even! I have 5 unpainted bodies for it as well as a bunch of upgrades! No it's not for sale- don't ask!
Bro.....i wouldn't ever personally buy a nitro...now if i get one freeee...of course I'll enjoy it but im more electric 😊...but something about your content pretty cool. ...thank god your not my neighbor 😂...and always remember that the taco bell is super cool for some reason 😂 almost makes me want tacobell...you never know, they might sponsor some day😮...congrats 🎉🎉🎉 have fun Melissa.. .wishing you guys the best👊🏼🤠
Hey buddy! Good point, I will try to get my hands on one in the future, maybe my opinion will change. Thank you for posting this out. Hope to see you on the channel again!!
YES! you got it brother!! It's super rare, I've only seen 2-3 of these completed conversions over the years go on sale. Mine is in 'OK" condition, if I swap out the chassis then it's will be in 90% perfect shape. NitroGang!.
I still have a brand new boxed HPI nitro RS4 evo3+ Porsche 911 GT3RS RTR

@@hybrid32494 you will find a new one to put in!
The TT TS4N Luxe came with graphite parts as an RTR. How do TS4N’s compare to RS4 3’s?

Same here I'm all electric but I have watched ALL of his videos
Why don't you guys like nitro? 😢
@@GreatBirdOfHope starting it. Messy. The smell. Loud. Carrying fuel then a fuel bottle for filling . I do love the TWO SPEED BABY though
@@nomusicrc i love the smell and sound its very alive. That being said I also have more electric rcs than nitro but nitro has a soft spot in my heart.
