Stay tuned for more crazy!
Just purchased a new car and fell down the rabbit hole of detailing and discovered this channel. I totally get where you’re coming from with the process of going head over heels into something. I study things for hundreds of hours and have an insatiable appetite for information. I can’t tell you how relieving it is for me to find your channel and your website because as you know, it can be exhausting sometimes. I have faith that the product I’m buying from you is the best of the best, but I’m looking forward to experimenting myself as well. Thank you.
Thanks for being a part of this crazy journey!
I kept hearing about obsessed garage on a bunch of detailing videos and eventually was like, alright, i gotta see who these guys are talking about. Needless to say after watching a bunch of these videos i really fell into the rabit hole of detailing. I hate clutter, i love user experience, and i love keeping my car clean and protected. I appreciate having someone whos gone through the process of figuring out what tools/chemicals work and what doesnt work and its helped me to find a line of products and tools that work and forming a good method of detailing. I recently upgraded my Griots G9 to a rupes LHR15 mark iii and got an Ibrid Nano and they work amazing. Also just put in an order the other day for a Kranzle 1322tst and a few other items from OG and im excited to try them out. Thanks again for the work and obcession. People might think youre crazy, but its a crazy that makes sense.
Thanks man!
Wash and talks are my favorite videos
Thanks!
Wash & talk with a slight rant on Chinese knock off's 🤣 nice work Matt 👌
The Brewster is looking good, Matty! I can agree with you on the whole GSF scent debacle. I used to be in the same camp where I didn't care about scents, and most of the products I used smelled like chemicals or down right gross, but the performance was there. HOWEVER, an enjoyable and refreshing scent can turn a good experience with a product, to a truly happy one. It's like walking in the house on Christmas Day seeing your whole family, that's amazing. Walk in, see your whole family, and the whole house smells like fresh baked cookies, whoo boy its a good time haha! I think that big grin on your face while foaming the GSF-X is testament to this!
Agreed!
Is Matt losing weight? If so, keep pushing! Health is wealth.
absolutely, he has been updating us nearly every video
Carnivore diet and working out. It's working for sure
Yeah you could really see it on his face in the previous video driving the Touring. I was rewatching the Destination OG outdoor kitchen vids the other day and it's very noticeable
If the new building works out I know myself and probably many others would love to come down and give some free help on demolition or any work the building needs.
That would be super fun!
We should rename these videos to 'Garage Chats with Matt." LOL! Great stuff Matt. I enjoy tuning in.
😂😂😂 I like angry Matt no bs stright to the point
So glad to hear your health and wellbeing is improving. Excited for you and the new facilities. All the best.
Thanks!
think I'm sold on the swisstrax floor, looking forward to that
It’s crazy that Matt Schaffer is helping you out with the tuning on the Focal system. He grew up down the road from me. I remember his first custom car he built…. It was a 2nd Gen Mitsubishi Eclipse. The thing was wild back in like 2003. 😂
I have about 5k miles on Armour Wheel and it kicks ass.
Man I need to get a bottle of this! Nothing else has ever lasted and I know that if you guys are raving about it then it's a product worth having 🔧
@@bimmerboi_hutch I bought a bottle from Brad the week he released it. It really likes 2 coats but it’s well worth the time spent. 10/10
@@wesoakesHow long did you wait between coats?
@@thinkforyourself5672 whatever the instructions say. I think it was an hour.
Peeped the 126710BLNR 😅. Great choice Matty knew you couldn’t stay with one Rolex! My first and favorite to this day is my 116710LN gets so many compliments. Congrats on the opportunity of buying the building i hope the bank plays along and you guys can acquire it. You’re living the dream.
You know its going to be a good day when you get to hear a Matty Rant
Great Video Matt!!!
4:05 that was close, always keep your head safe mate!
A solution I’ve been using for the past year or so for the tire dressing is a meguiars polish dispenser!!!
I can meter out almost the same amount of product to my brush or applicator every time it stays consistent and clean with no overspray!!!!!
I just placed a simple plastic spacer that still allows draining down into my spray wand holder. It accomplishes the same thing as replacing it with a new shorter one.
I'm more and more impressed with the Swisstrax now that I have it in. It's awesome. Everyone that walks by or comes over thinks it looks great.
Man... I love the look of the CUP2 way too much, especially when taking such good care of. It's not even the lettering on the side that does it for me but more so the fact that the sidewall of that tire just goes straight down into the rim, instead of having those stupid looking rim protections, which makes the tyre much bulkier looking which i absolutely love. Then additionally these amazing silver Porsche rims below the tyre. Matty keeps saying it and it literally is the case : this thing is perfection, regardless of where you look at it.
Matts 100% right about the cheaper Chinese stuff. These companies have to cut corners somewhere and its usually in the stuff i mentioned, maybe little things but it diminishes the user experience. I bought a shinemate ex620 because the amount of people saying it was a lhr15 mark 3 but half the price. When i got it i was not satisfied, vibration, weight, where your fingers rest, mushy trigger lock, horrible power cord thats attached, etc...returned it and got the G15 and its 10x better in every way. All those negatives on the shinemate are pluses on the griots and more. Lifetime warranty isn't bad either 😏
Matt your process of being obsessed “Through” the process is awesome 👏🏻 That’s why I’ve been tuning in over the years 👊
I think everyone has this to some degree. I’m like you and especially when it comes to “Car Maintenance” 😁😏
I use to own a German Auto Parts business many moons ago.
Keep up the good werk!
I would love to have you OG Spec my garage someday 👊
“You frickin’ dirtballs. Stop eatin’ cheeseburgers!” 😂 I almost spit my drink out at that statement. lol
I had a feeling you were using the interior brush and it seems to work just fine so it also has multiple uses just like the curveball. I am thrilled about your relationship with Griot's because that is what got me started down this rabbit hole. Feels good to see some items in your store that I also got from them in the past too.
Its good to have a little fun once in awhile.
Love that Matt can just keep on with the talking etc with the 2 guys in the back
Ha, ha.... That was my dad and uncle. My uncle wanted to watch the process.
I love Wash and Talk 👌
I view from Mexico.
The brush is used for cleaning all the salt off the interior carpet during the winter months. You need it for that.
Seems like you're at that point in the weight loss where you're having fun with it Matt. That's a sweet spot to be in
Agreed. Feeling better snowballs the affects.
We have infants Matt that's why I need the yellow drill brush for my seats once a week 😅😅
Ha, ha... Been there man. I sold Michele's Audi and bought her a Ford when I found a lollipop stuck to the door card.
Actually if you look at the back of most cleaning products, the instructions will tell you to shake it before using it😁
Loved the rant about the foam cannon and not selling out like all the other TH-camrs have done supporting the knockoffs China crap. I’ve owned the Griot’s foam cannon for a while and love it. Keep on keeping on bro.
I'm glad someone gets it.
AKA Pan the Organizer. He’s such a sellout.
Matt rockin the rolley lately 😎
The Community: Those Griot's cannons aren't good because the threads are terrible.
Matt: You guys don't know anything I do this every day I know it all just listen to me.
Also Matt: Oh, that is threaded in the middle there, I thought it was a swivel joint. I didn't know that.
The Community: WE KNOW
In my world, I don't listen to people in my community. They are the same people driving minivans and going to Sam's club.
A great wash and talk
Thank you 👍
We need to get the same type of wheel coating applicator in the store that esoteric detail offers. So much easier to use when coating more intricate styled wheels.
Gonna be critical but I hope this is what we do here for the sake of learning and appreciation. As I look at PPF on vehicles, I don't get the same wow factor as I do with paint and clear coat. Maybe a lil of the camera or I'm not seeing it enough in person, but it just doesn't seem natural.... if you can call paint natural. Protecting paint is the purpose but it just doesn't seem to pop as much. I wish it did. Am I crazy to think this?
You aren't crazy.
You are 100% right. The tradeoff isn't quite as big as it once was, but I always prefer nicely corrected paint without PPF.
Always love your wash and talks bru.
Hey Matt your looking good and got a badass GT3. cheers mate
Touchless and autofoam are surprisingly different products. John at forensic did a ton of research on this and found touchless to be more effective. You probably know that already though. Anyway, I just spent way too much on a 5L bottle coming from Canada.
Ole Matty is GEARED UP these days. 💪🏼
I’ve been using Auto-Foam for a few years now from The Clean Garage. Is OG the new U.S. distributor of Bilt Hamber products?
You should do a video on what you for quick washes. Kinda like you mentioned at this point and time you hadn’t done a full wash on the wheels. But you did a quick wash. Not sure if you already have a video of showing your methods of quick washing?
Washing a dialed in GT3 Touring with a Watch on is a bold move Matty
"Dirtballs eating cheeseburgers?" lollll
can you lowball the building even more to help with funding the improvements? it sounds like you may be there only potential buyer?
Yeah...I'm not sure. I' m working on a deal.
Maybe solar panels would be a good idea on the new building.?Especially if you need to repair the roof anyway. Would also help with the electricity bill.
I think that is something that Mike could build in the future.
Matt washing a car with a watch on 😮
How about dispensing tire dressing from a squeezable Pressol bottle - to maintain a cohesive style?
I'm thinking that might be best.
Looking big, Mattie... The right kind of big
Boom!
Matt if you were wearing a helmet when you crashed your bike, make sure that you replace it.
Luckily my head didn't hit.

Good to hear. Just looking out for you buddy. Thanks for replying. Loving the content as always!
I was gifted the MJJC, honestly works great but I would buy whatever you said if you shipped to Australia. Love the videos, usually just watch these while I’m working.
Francis: Don’t go through here anymore
Kate: Ok old man Fran
Reilang (Ernst Hausammann & Co.) make a oiler (a few actually) with a brush applicator...might be an option for tyre dressing? Swiss made epicness too!
Checked for the new GFX XMAS edition...not up yet!! I know the scent matters not, but I need a bottle of that! Fun Matt for the win!
November 1st
OG if you're working with detail factory we need a mini microfiber wheel barrel brush the current one doesn't fix in tight spaces
Matt what about the new rupes 21mm ibrid? i am waiting for your review when you get your hands on one of them.
I'll see it SEMA on Tuesday.
@ObsessedGarage I respect your reviews as I know you are honest 100%. Someone told me that in Europe it will cost over 1200 dollars. If that's true .. I don't know what to think 😕. Looking forward for your thoughts on this when you try it. Thank you
i was waiting for the driveway shot to see all the water runoff
What prewash soap do you recommend and will also be selling?!
what about the shed mike is building, I believe he said he can move it later on if he had too??? will you guys take it to the new place if you move ??
Yep, we have already devised a plan.
Love the channel good job! Is this washing process same for a full PPF STEK
Yep, it would be the same.
I'll take the wond holder Mattie 🥰
To bad I live in Montreal I would have love to wash my 71 nova in this garage.
Matt are you not worried about the PH of Auto Foam/Touchless on your coatings using it so often? That car.... unreal
also, rocking the cookie monster on the wrist! stealth wealth!!!
So what’s the gsf Xmas edition smell like? You said Christmas that makes me think peppermint?
You nailed it.
Interior brush can do vents and dash buttons on like used and abused cars...by "dirtballs" LOL
Cool about the bank property...interest rates are brutal AF, would be nice if the bank could cut you some slack there.
Canada proposition sounds cool but a bit risky...as the current government are taxing us to death and american business are leaving here...similar to California?
Christmas edition what's next gravy on your mashed potatoes!
I’m in for a chochy signed bottle of gsX by uncle Matty.
How close are you to bringing in bilthamber? Need that touchless here in Utah for the winter!!
January!
Digging the Batman Matt?
Nice catch.
Matt, how do you do it? Rollies come off when washing cars & I have several older/used kicks just for car washing😂. My OCD is worse than yours - Dark cars are a no no for me. Shows too much dirt & swirl marks…😂. BTW, what is the product you are spraying on your car when drying your car? I’d like to order that product from you… Thanks/Cheers/B
www.obsessedgarage.com/products/og-drying-aid?_pos=1&_sid=37e3e581b&_ss=r
I’ll take it!!
Matt, would love to get your thoughts on the Koch chemie reactivation shampoo
I think it has slightly better lubricity than Descale and is easier to source right now. Descale is out of stock pretty much everywhere I get products from. It definitely performed really well. Unclogged a coating just like Descale does. Best coating maintenance product I've ever used. 99 percent of customers are using hose water, cars are getting rained on or come in contact with sprinkler water
I’m going to test it out on the Raptor.
@@thinkforyourself5672 Descale was the best product you've used or Koch Chemie reactivation?
After foaming the car, I see you don’t rinse the car from the roof down. I always assumed rinsing from the top down was best, just like taking a shower. What’s the method to the madness here, or am I overthinking it?
Not when doing the pre-wash. I want the prewash to take the dirt with it with pressure, so I wash bottom up. When washing top down, the soap runs off from water dripping downward.
How much for that wand holder, signed of course 😁
Matty 2.0 is moving and shaking.
Who were the 2 guys in the background lol
Ha, ha... My Dad and uncle.
No deionizer?
I didn't need it washing inside.
I'm building a new home what pitch should my garage be to allow for proper drainage?
Whatever the code is for your area. You don't want so much pitch that it affects other things. Don't over-think it.
As Tim said, it's pretty standard slope that code would define. That is all that is necessary.
Have you tried the Armour paint or glass coatings as well?
I haven’t.
I wanna know where Mat shops for his shorts
Arcterex
Let's basically bash every brand that we do not sell. Who cares if EVERYONE loves using the MJJC Foam Cannon. Quickest way to ruin your reputation. Most consumers are not concerned with the company's history, we just want a great product for a great price. Griot's Foam Cannon might be great, but that does not mean that MJJC is garbage.
No, I only bash shady companies that are Chinese I.P. theft entities. It makes no sense to me to support junk that steals from companies that make what I love doing possible.
Matt….your weight-loss program is one of your best investments ever. 185?…you can do it. 👍
I think 210 is the number for me.
Interesting comment re Swisstrax evaporating water from underneath. Do you find it smells with the water sitting underneath for a long period? I moved into new home with a big 4 car garage perfect for indoor washing, but the floor is sealed aggregate, so the water just sits on surface and takes days to evaporate. I’m looking for a solution
I don't find it to smell or be an issue. The bulk runs off and the remainder drys in a few hours.
Some of us are broke mfs lol cheap China stuff that does the same thing for a quarter of the price is the way to go lol
That's an unacceptable way of being. If you continue with that mindset and keep typing the way you did above, I fear you will always be stuck in the rut. Aspire and work to be better and great things will likely happen for you.
Get a Gr Corolla 🔥
How pitched is the garage floor? Did you have concrete guys or whoever do it or was it already like that when you bought the house? Seems like a great alternative when a drain isnt realistic
Standard 1% slant. Most garages in climates that get any bit of water will be slightly angled for that reason. Super common up here in the PNW, but I'm sure it is ubiquitous in any area that gets a lot of rain/snow.
@@thelowcartheorythanks. I'm surprised that's enough to effectively move all the water out, especially with the resistance from the tiles
@@motiOn732 all that is needed. I believe standard is 2 or 3%...same as say a bath tube and all that is needed to do the job
@@motiOn732 The tiles are channeled on the bottom. The water flows underneath them. Kinda like a floating floor.
@@timkinley1779 I know. But there is still some tile touching the floor which would prevent flow. Combine that with a very mild grade and I don't think it's unfair to expect pooling

Everytime I see someone talk positively about MJJC I lose a bit of hope. Even if they did do some R&D on one product the rest of their business is still unsupportable
Agreed, how many other suppliers have a specific email to contact them if you have IP concerns!
Amen...
This series should be renamed to: Wash and Brag
That's nonsense.
"It isn't bragging if it's true." Or "It isn't bragging if you've done it." Regardless, both are directed at the simple-minded.
Genuine question here, when Matt swipes the ez detail across the wheel well and it touches the edge of the paint, im just surprised that doesn’t bother him?
70% tint is that even tint? 😂
Whatvyou following from andrew Huberman?
