This song hits so hard for longtime fans. It’s the culmination of 3 albums and an entire story. But the fact that it hits so hard for someone that isn’t as deep into the music just shows what a genius Vessel is and how his art can truly touch a person.
Facts ! Now listening to it, I don’t believe I needed to hear the full 3 albums because I truly saw the essence of what the song was about. Outstanding band 🔥
@@KaireemReactions - I think you might need to hear the three albums and the EPs for the full context, but you might need a bit more time that the length of one video to do so. You'd be doing yourself a massive disservice if you don't. They go "One", "Two", "Sundowning", "This Place Will Become Your Tomb" and "Take Me Back To Eden". "One" and "Two" are on Bandcamp if you want copies for yourself (that's where I found them. I went on a Sleep Token splurge on weekend a couple of months ago and since then their music has become a bit of an obsession to me). If you didn't already know, they're touring at the moment and their UK leg is later this year, if you want to see them live. Oh, by the way, there's some tracks that aren't on their albums ("Jaws", "The Way That You Were" and "Is It Really You" [with Loathe]) and I'd say to give those a listen too. And there's some covers, but I'll leave them for you to look for if you decide you want to. And yes, they're definitely an outstanding band. Vessel (and II, their drummer) have to be bona fide lyrical genii.
You connected to the part of the song that breaks most of us on your first listen. The fact that people who don't really have all the context can still connect and feel the emotions this song carries just show how amazing Vessel is at song writing.
It brings tears to my eyes every time 😂. They definitely are #1. This song is so good that it never gets old 😅 That first laugh-out-loud cracked me up! You may hear some Sleep Token that's different but they are all so good. They dont miss. ❤ Worship ❤

You absolutely nailed it and said exactly the same as I did when you said "I haven't heard a bad song by them". They're something magical aren't they? And as for Euclid specifically, I've heard it quite a few times up to now but I think this is might only be the second time (since I very first listened to it) that it made me cry. The line "It's still the Autumn leaves, these ancient canopies that we used to lay beneath" to me sounds like someone hopeful of the reignition of a relationship with someone they haven't been involved/seen for a long, long time but that they still love with all their being. It's something that we all experience at least once in our lives to some extent and it was that memory that caught me off guard today, I think. Not because there's someone else I want to be with, but the very bittersweet memory of it. But the whole of this album is glorious. Thank you for this reaction, Kai.

What if we told you that time travel is embedded in this song? What if we told you, that in the line “The night belongs to YOU,” the “YOU” has multiple meanings that coexist in the same moment?! Hopefully this piques your interest to explore all the depths of ST.
Telomeres needs to be on the check out soon list…they are the only band that I can think of that works in a true sense of completion to their work in this track. Simply brilliant! Cheers!!!

The trilogy is complete. It think its amazing that they ended this album with a callback to the first song from their first album
