CONGRATULATIONS! thankyou for such an informative video....I was so invested in what you were saying that I cheered when you got in :) I am from Australia and currently applying to so many schools. I just missed the cut off date from RAM because the majority of schools in the UK have their cut-off as the 31st of March 2018 for international but RAM has it as the 1st of november 2017.......but got to be in it to win don't you. I hope you're having a blast xxx

@@chelsealeighnicole764 Yes it was a no unfortunately. Everything happens for a reason though and a lot of other things came ofd I would have missed if I had. I may try again in a year or two once I've re-done my final degree module.
I’m auditioning for the masters program for 2022/2023 class. My parents insisted I get what they called a useful degree first. I’m so excited to finally (hopefully) get to do what I want to do
Hey :) Sorry for the late reply. Alot of the people studying on this course had BA degrees in other fields and then go onto the MT Masters :) Doing the Masters is hard as you have to cram in three years of training into one :) x x

Its been manic these past few weeks with the showcase :) My advice would be to show them everything you have got, don't be nervous because they want you to do your best. But most of all be yourself and enjoy it. Its not every day you get to audition for The Royal Academy of Music :) x

They don’t care about your dance ability. There was no dance audition however I think he first week we had a dance class for the whole year to see our dance ability and then put us into three classes. Every panel are on your side 🥰

Hey Alba. You’re more then welcome and thank you. I would definitely recommend auditioning. It was the best year of my life. I made life long friends, learnt so much and had many amazing opportunities. My advice would be to find something you connect with. I chose a monologue from the film Star Dust. I wanted to find something different and something the panel wouldn’t have come across in the audition process. I would also advise you to treat it like one of your songs meaning try and show a different character in each of your songs and monologue. I treated my monologue as a song choice so I had and innocent angel character as my monologue, my sassy powerful lead lady song as I can cook too, my curvy girl power ballad as Beautiful from it should’ve been you and My Brother lived in San Fran was my tear provoker. I really hope this helps x x
How old were you when you auditioned? I'm thinking about studying at the Academy but I don't know whether it's better to audition during my last year of school (which would probably interfere with tests and exams) or after graduation (which would mean I'd have to wait for a year until I could start studying if I got accepted). Anyway, such a helpful video! Thanks so much for uploading!
Hey :). They chose what they wanted to hear first. However each audition is different. A friend of mine only sand the first verse of their song and they didn’t ask for anything else. My advice would be make sure take three songs. Your two choices and a back up just incase and make sure you know them and your monologue like the back of your hand ☺️

I play the piano and I’m really good at it but I wanna play the cello WITH no experience can’t I still be able to play it ?

You can apply from the age of 21 I think however I would have a look at the website to check just in case :)
