    I remember playing this piece my freshman year of high school (2003) and it's still one of my all-time favorites.
    Reed was such a brilliant orchestrator for winds, and his music had an effect on me in terms of composing my own music.

      Alfred Reed is a genius. One of my fav pieces ever!!! Russian Christmas Music is a close 2nd. Both by A. Reed.

    I had the honor to bring this piece with my band to the Flicorno d'Oro concorso bandistico internazionale this year andI spent the whole broadly crying, after months of just practising and practising. We ended up runner-ups in the superior division.

    I was fortunate enough to perform this under the baton of Harry Begian. It was written for him, as the original Armenian ymn "Java Jerusalem" was his mother's favorite Easter music.
