This is my dream sled right here. Pure Awesomeness. Good video as always!
Love snowtrax but how do you praise the hand controls in this video but rip on them in every other one?
My favorite one out of all the fleet
I have 2 2010 ski doos a mxz xrs and summit x and your saying this crossover sled will do better in the mountains then the older summit? and still trail ride good? So is upgrading to 1 new sled that can do both the move?
Can’t wait for the crossover shootout!
I had one of these ordered but ended up switching to a lynx xterrain just for the pro 46 shocks and i love it.
I love the brake system on my 2022 backcountry X 850 and I never needed an adjustable brake lever on any of my sleds'. I've got the 1.6 ice cobra track as well. I loved the Brembo brake on my snow checked 2006 mxzx 550f. That sled has over 11,000 miles on the original non rebuilt engine and original track. My brother bought the sled from me and he loves it.
I've never needed adjustable brake lever on any of my Doo's
2022 backcountry here, the brake feels just fine for me, 1 finger breaking.
Love the sled, yep, buzzy in the handle bars, but does everything I ask it to very well. I am not a hard rider, more touring while looking for places to play.
That looks a lot like last years breed of snow 😁 I'm hoping the model year 25 snow is much improved!
When I was a kid, our bathroom was that color.
😆
Rack steering is also on x models….
i owned a 2016 summit x, in 154 and 146... the only option that can outpreform would be the 154x2.5... MY2025 id like to see a BC XRS Comp 137.... or bring back the FR 137
nice
What model are you guys testing? The 1.6 inch or the 2 inch track? My 2024 Backcountry XRS with the 2 inch powdermax has plenty of vibration in the midrange. Just like my gen 4 did.
My Gen 5 X darts like crazy on hard pack snow. I have weight off the skis with the cemter shock and cant get it to stop. Running front shock soft
AJ, what about the 2024 Backcountry X ? Xrs been pricy I am super curious about the X 146 with the 1.6 Ice Cobra track. Great video!!! Thanks!
What do you want to know? It doesn't come with the nice suspension, or rack steering. Belly up and get the Xrs.
nice... now where's the snow?
Nice review.....So what is better? Assault 850 NA or Backcountry?
i have no doubt the Assault would be a fun sled but the overall Polaris reliability is just not there, too many dependability horror stories.
Well I ❤my sb assault had them from 2009 the original to 2022 old ones more fun/lighter 11-15 matryx very comfortable for a late 40 year old
I had a '23 assault I put on over 4k miles, bought the backcountry xrs for this year, sold it and got another assault. Missed too many things about the Assault. The XRS is a nice sled, but takes a backseat to the Assault. I've never had one single issue with any of my Assaults, can't be said for the Doo's I've had.
@@pliskie6 so you like your fixed 42" front stance and small track options? Just buy a trail sled then because the assault is not a crossover. It's trail sled.
@@dodgecbr02The assault isn’t a crossover? For years it has defined the segment haha. What are you talking about?
I have a 2023switchback boost and a 2024 backcountry polaris has better gage package, GPS,betting handling and power fit and finish goes to skidoo.
How is side panel fitment? Om MY2024 BC XRS 154 clutch side is not very tight. MY sled is nr. 161 from production.
My 2024 BC XRS is not very tight either. All kinds of snow gets in there. I don't know why they praise the fit and finish so much. My 2012 RMK had better panel gaps and less vibration.
I have problems with several plastic komponents , poor fitment, and low quality.
Think even Polaris have better fit and finish 😂
What did you guys do to set up this backcountry? Mine handles like crap
Rode it with factory settings.
Which Backcountry, track, lug engine ?
I’m surprised that there is not a Polaris in the video and it’s better than everything
Hopefully the left ski is not snapping on these models.
Turbo without meth tank like Polaris
Offer in the front end/headlights like freeride and summit
And they will have the perfect sled
2025 Backcountry X-RS 850 Turbo R is the worst kept secret of the year.
I'll wait for when we start getting snow again lol. Waste of money
the lousy music comes on at 90 decibels...then I cant even hear you!! c'mon man!
Someone’s always gotta complain!
Does your wife tell you that you complain a lot?
I agree when you're trying to listen quietly as to not disturb others it's really annoying. Other than that great video I always try and leave on a positive note.
