- This is my first patch on my dream modular synthesizer, the Random Source Serge. The lovely Ross Lamond case, TKB and Crocodile are mine, the Edelweiss and other modules are on loan from the showroom at world's best banana synth store, Patch Point in Berlin. Thanks for that!
The Haible Phaser is the lead instrument to this calm ambient patch, pinged by the rhythm module. Space comes from a Carlsbro Mantis BBD delay.

Few nights ago I dreamed of jamming with you. In the dream I was surprised because on the table, next to some strange modular equipment, there were bowls filled with water that you used to record resonances of percussions through water. I asked you if it was safe to keep the water near the synths, and you answered something like "Yes, you see, it's all nuclear powered and with optical connections, there is no electricity", and I said "Cool".

I've been reminiscing about Serge, missing the CalArts system, and actually putting together a couple of CGS modules together. and then you put this out...something is telling me to get serious with a Serge
It is a most peaceful synth to me
@@Hainbach i have always thought of it as aggressive, due to it's wavefolders. Cevin Key's use of it, especially in "Charlie's family", really galvanised that sound for me.

I have issues with composing after I make a patch on my computer. I make a cool sound and then I twiddle my thumbs trying to figure out what to use it for. I forget sometimes you can just bask in the sound. Thanks for reminding me.
Yeah, this track is based around listening to the echo. I had it at a much faster speed before, but realized that I needed to leave more time for the space to breath
