You’re right about the dynamat. My only problem with it is it’s heavy and expensive but it works great. I put it on the inside of the door skin and also on the inside of the door. Much more solid feeling.

Super clean, super practical build for anyone who wants a daily that isn't ate up with computers. I'm doing a similar build myself. Definitely won't be this detailed though. Too many irons in the fire to be putting so much jack in 1 car. I have a 12v Cummins swapped 63 continental I'm about to put some DSWs on. Such a classy wheel for old rides.
clean swap brother i also have a 88 burb that swapping a 6.0 into it just having a issue with some wiring would u happen to have a diagram of what wires u used and where the run to ?
I’m using a Holley Terminator X Max to control the 6.0 and 4l80e and the factory 88 wiring for everything else. If you’re using the 6.0 harness, not sure I can help. If not, I can probably help you.

I think the black dash pad is a tasteful contrast to the blue. Sweet burb. I’m rebuilding a 6.0 and 4l80e for my K5 Blazer. Hoping to put it this next winter/spring. I’m doing body/paint now.

Check out the Borgeson steering gear I think it it will help on the steering woes. I think they only have a C10 listing but I think all the gears are the same C10-C30.
Have u considered air ride just simple for stance fr and bck,back, low pros just an idea I can picture it,u wouldn't have to tub it as long as u changed the tires.
I struggled with that decision and finally went with coilovers because I thought the air ride would eventually get old but I’m not sure now. I may swap it later.
I used the Ridetech kit that I cut to fit since they didn’t make one to fit. Mine isn’t very low but I could have went much lower if I wanted to. Let me know if you’d like me to measure the height or whatever.

Yes, at full lock and hitting a bump it doesn’t take much before it rubs a little. It might have a little to do with the width of the front tire too. I also have Slosh Tubz.

I would change some stuff as far as cosmetics and add cruise control for interstate. But that said its a beauty. And dude that extra room in the engine bay is just amazing. So much space to work, take note car manufacturers....
I measured the before height but I don’t remember what it was, I just mocked it all up and set it where I liked it. The current front and rear fender height is 29.5”. Rear are 275/50/20 and front are 255/55/20

I confirmed the Delrays are still on their site and yes, they have 22s. A lot of folks remove the inner fenders to prevent rubbing up front but I wanted to keep them so I went with Slosh Tubz. You can also custom make inner fenders if you’d like. They were around $1500.

I’ve had to replace a few rusty spots so mine didn’t start off as good as it is now. Stay after it and post some pics/videos. I’d love to see it. Have the fun is fixing the bad spots. It’s very satisfying.
I have an all original 2WD 89 with the 7.4 that I’m going to restore one day. I’m working on Cummins Swapping it’s 4WD big brother right now so it’s going to be a while. I have a 73 Crew Cab that I’ll Cummins swap after I restore the 7.4 too. I’m going to put it on a 98 3500 frame so I can lower it and keep the 4WD. Yeah, fun times.

To avoid notching the frame, use Dirty Dingo adjustable engine mounts so you can slide the engine forward and backwards with the correct oil pan. Also, you’ll have to slightly notch the frame if you use the stock LS exhaust manifolds so I used Hooker/Blackheart long tube stainless headers to clear the frame rails. No cutting necessary!!!

I search for "LS swap square body" for a month .. and never find your video. Wish I did. I have $2k plus in just short block parts. I do have a TBI Edelbrock intake .. but still need the Trick Flow aluminum TBI heads & all the machine work. Of course, then the hydraulic roller cam & associated, not to mention a built transmission & larger TBI, & flashed fuel map. Don't want to keep bugging you .. .. amazing you answer so quickly, with all this detail. I DO APPRECIATE IT !!! Maybe the next LS swap square .. will be a lot luckier, finding you. Did the same swap in my '86 C10 pick up...and cruise control is a easy add on on LS swap! on mine QA1 in front and TCI in rear suspension! keep the good work nice Burb :o)

@@jordancapper7958 255/55/20 front tires and fenders are 29.5 above the ground. Going straight I have only had them rub once over a very large bump.

I was getting 9mpg with the 454 and now I’m at 13 mpg.

You did a great job, on yours. I love it !!!!
To avoid notching the frame, use Dirty Dingo adjustable engine mounts so you can slide the engine forward and backwards with the correct oil pan. Also, you’ll have to slightly notch the frame if you use the stock LS exhaust manifolds so I used Hooker/Blackheart long tube stainless headers to clear the frame rails. No cutting necessary!!!
@@jasaanarruda6800 I'm 6 months too late. That's whats nuts about this platform. I say a word & immediately get advertisers & search suggestions for saying that word. I search for "LS swap square body" for a month .. and never find your video. Wish I did. I have $2k plus in just short block parts. I do have a TBI Edelbrock intake .. but still need the Trick Flow aluminum TBI heads & all the machine work. Of course, then the hydraulic roller cam & associated, not to mention a built transmission & larger TBI, & flashed fuel map. Don't want to keep bugging you .. .. amazing you answer so quickly, with all this detail. I DO APPRECIATE IT !!! Maybe the next LS swap square .. will be a lot luckier, finding you. Again brother .. ... VERY WELL DONE !!! Thank you & God bless !!!

What do you get MPG on the Highway now?
I used to get 9mpg average when I had the 454 and now I get 13mpg with the LS. I’m not sure about highway only.

It was a tough decision to pull the 454 and TH400 but now very happy I did.
