And when the instructions get too detailed and complicated, there is a lot of slippage. Adding one thing can wipe out 10 other things. It's like trying to build a house out of jello.

You can share as a text file. If the documents are very long, put the setup in one text file, then put the different documents in other text files. Then they can copy the setup and add the document text files.
