It took Toyota years longer than everyone else and only then reluctantly to introduce these two into their systems. Yes the leg room is more in the vitara but if you enjoy travelling WITH your family I would recommend looking at something bigger like the Peugeot 2008 or Citroën c4.
Hello guys! I like how this car looks and I'm thinking about purchasing it for myself, but have several technical questions. 1) Is 1.6 engine good enough in case of 4x4 and automatic transmission? 2) What a real life-limit for turbo 1.4? Can it run as minimum 150 000 km without serious problems?
I found the steering on the Vitara I drove to be much too light and lacking in feel - it didn't seem as though it was connected to anything. The ride was also very choppy on country roads leading to one of my passengers feeling nauseous. Not as good to drive as an ordinary hatchback by any means
How can one compare a Vitara AllGrip having all-wheel drive to a Seat Arona and Renault Captur only available with front-wheel drive? The SEAT Arona is an Ibiza, the Renault Captur a Clio, just high-leg adaptations to mimic SUV character. Same goes for Ford's crossover version of the Fiesta - the EcoSport. The Vitara is a stand-alone development and has nothing in common with a Swift. And every generation of this model has been capable to go off road. The bottom line is simple. Urban hipsters buy a real city crossover like the Arona or Captur to follow the marketing strategies of the mainstream. Pragmatic people looking for a versatile car buy the Vitara or another true compact SUV.
As a owner of Vitara with the two year experience in driving this car I can easily recommend this amazing SUV to anyone! This is amazing car in so many ways - from spacious interior, great design, efficient engine with lower fuel consumption, very generous equipment, affordable prices... And also it is very important to know that Suzuki produces one of the world's most reliable cars with very low percentage of failures...
I’m still sceptical about that tiny 1.0 engine, I’m that vitara must be close to 2tons , maybe less but still a very big car for such a small engine. At least i would expect to have a 2.0l engine or 1.6 and bare minimum.
That's exactly the point. And not only off-roading but wet, muddy and snowy surfaces. I'm experiencing the AllGrip system very supportive in every day situations.
I had to reject my new 2019 1.0 Boosterjet SZT after 25 days due to the doors not opening (using the remote) and then the car wouldn’t start. The day after I picked it up I had to call The AA out, this happened 17 times in total (the AA man showed me a trick to get the car started). The engine cut out 3 times when I was on the road. It’s replacement was ok for 2 months then the driver’s door check strap broke causing the window not to fully open !
I heard worse complains for brand new BMW series 5, or Citroen 6 and Audi Q8, which just drop dead on the middle of the road for no obvious reason, and wouldnt start. Bad luck, I guess.
They improved the grille, but look at these ugly tail lights. Why can't they get everything right. And what's the idea of this tiny engine? I have been driving Grand Vitaras for 15 years and they are great cars.
Purchased a top spec model in January 2019. The 1.4l Boosterjet version with auto transmission. Hands down the worst new car I have ever owned. The build quality is atrocious for the price point. Have been to the service center on multiple occasions. Will sell it for a big loss before the factory warranty expires. The only redeeming feature is the engine. Definitely do not recommend this lemon.
@@vpower87 Must be a lemon. Own a 1.4l top trim level (SZ5 resp. Comfort+) with manual gear box and have no problems at all. Materials are low-cost but built quality is really good in my Vitara. How about goodwill of your dealer? Usually, Suzuki is known for customer friendliness.
Forget the new cars, they are all full of Chinese junk parts. Just get an old one and fix it up. My 2009 grand vitara has 230 HP, and HI-Low transfer case, with locking center diff. It cost me very little, can go anywhere and is pretty quick around town. Enough said!

Anyone else remember Top Gear's Suzuki Samurai ice hockey episode back in the day?
very detailed review.. thumbs up!
filmed in the dark? try using some lighting!
I love Suzuki GSX R125 and Suzuki make brilliant motorcycles and now they make this beauty
How is What Car (or any other company) making money from getting deals from new car dealers?
Anubite same question
this is a 2021 vitarra but the video was published in 2019
I found the steering on the Vitara I drove to be much too light and lacking in feel - it didn't seem as though it was connected to anything.
The Suzuki exterior dimensions must be built to The Golden Mean. Fibonacci would have been delighted to own one !
Nice car, Shame about the lack of rear seat folding, Honda won't be too worried about this stealing its sales.
Good clear review
Another scratchy plastic man!...how robust do air vents have to be!
Agree on that infotainment system is great however should be faster in response
I'm looking to buy in this class, but after seeing what Peugeot did with 2020 Peugeot 208 I'll wait for new 2008.
That would be a big mistake
I really like the color. Great review. 👍
Soft or hard plastic, no big deal I reckon, nice vehicle.
is this huy giving a review of the car or is he comparing and top class material in cheap vitara
I’m still sceptical about that tiny 1.0 engine, I’m that vitara must be close to 2tons , maybe less but still a very big car for such a small engine. At least i would expect to have a 2.0l engine or 1.6 and bare minimum.
Only about 1.2 tonnes actually!
They need to design them with 20inches tyers - it's too low
its not bargain any more because of quality improved a lot its still cheap if you look the quality
Have a Suzuki Vitara best car ever !
does it have a spare tire?
My 2015 model doesn't. So I doubt the new one does.
It's optional equipment available at the dealer.
Do everybody used to sleep on those plastic dashboard in front of the driver. i am apparently freak, because i am not.
Get really good deals on them at about a year to 18 months old
Not one mention of how good its off road performance is
That's exactly the point. And not only off-roading but wet, muddy and snowy surfaces. I'm experiencing the AllGrip system very supportive in every day situations.
I love this car

I think the Mazda CX-3 is the best looking small SUV.
and way more expensive
And the boot is a joke.
CO JEST NAJLEPSZYM ZAPEŁNIENIEM MOTORYZACYJNEJ LUKI, SUZUKI
Great car 💪💪💪💪💪💪
sorry but the image was to dark
Yay, more tiny turbocharged engines that undercut the longevity of the car 🙄
I always feel discriminated against watching car reviews these days because I love hard plastics 😢😁
That's called shitty built quality ..these cars feel like they are made out of paper.. 🤢
I heard worse complains for brand new BMW series 5, or Citroen 6 and Audi Q8, which just drop dead on the middle of the road for no obvious reason, and wouldnt start.
Bad luck, I guess.
I’ve had the replacement car 2 years now and ......I love it, no problems since, very happy with it.
@Hank Marving I’ve still got the replacement Vitara. PCP ends January 2023 , I’ve been looking for new one but nothing appeals to me !
Amazing car
Would be the same size as the ford c-max
I bought 1 in 2019...big mistake by me.
Why?
good review, car... what you payed for, similar to dacia duster
Similar to Dacia Duster??? Absolutely not, sorry mate!
They improved the grille, but look at these ugly tail lights. Why can't they get everything right. And what's the idea of this tiny engine? I have been driving Grand Vitaras for 15 years and they are great cars.
save your money and buy a duster
cracka no!!! 😭😭 if you want a franchute the peugeot 2008 is better
Whats with this Seat Arona? Its super ugly and no 4x4
Nice
steering has no real connection with the front wheels ? what dribble, have a listen to yourself
i like it
russia. 1.6l atmospheric engine and 1.4 boosterjet
Buy a Range rover sport man 👍
@@vpower87 Must be a lemon.

I work for a well known rental company. We have the luxury of getting new cars of all different models. I was shocked when I first got a look around one of these...
In a nutshell..
Cheap tacky plastic throughout. Cheapest carpet money can buy. Absolute tin can of a vehicle. Absolutely no mod-cons for the money. 17k will buy you a real 2nd hand 4x4 from a main dealer... do that instead!
🤣 car reviews where hard plastics that don't damage easily are a bad thing. Always a sign of a silly review. Who wants a soft to touch dashboard. When do you touch it!!
No improvement, windscreen lets too much sun inside and makes a heat trap on the dash, compared to some of the defects mentioned, that's way more important
What sort of glass doesn't let sunlight in? 😕
@@melondog82 The glass that's vertical under a mid day sun at the equator. The more the glass faces upward, the more heat goes on the dash, then reflects into the drivers face.
@@plinkbottle so that's all cars that don't have a windscreen like land rover defender then. 😕🤦🏻♂️
@@melondog82 Yeah they got it right. If car spends most of its life under 100 kph how much you gunna save with aerodynamic windscreen. Better to have good head room and head away from roof radiation. Defender is beautiful.
@@plinkbottle I take it you drive a defender then?
No mention that it's 4x4.
Good car but too expensive and does not look good.
Soccer mom car 😂😂😂😂😂
The blogger insult all car 🤮🤮🤮

lol pos uses a torsion bar as the rear suspension.
all cars made today should idependant suspension
utter fucking junk..i bought the hyundai tucson..way better car
Why does this guy still uses an iPhone 4s in 2019?
Thank god I have a Renault Captur.
How many times did it break down in the last week
@@deltagames3864 Its completely reliable and never missed a beat.
Poor you
Never in my life have I ever heard someone say, "Thank god I have a Renault."
Another scratchy plastic man!
