Hello Michelle, wow omg this will make me cry. My mom was the fisherwomen in the family. Coming from the east coast of Canada’s 🇨🇦 she could spot a stream on the high grasses, no boat, and cast her line and come home with brook trout for breakfast. Ohm ohhhhh some good. Thank you so much . Will definitely be painting this one. Isn’t is amazing what one painting can do to you. You are my brain on paint. Thank you for helping me live again.
This brings back good memories of my dad and I. I have to try and paint this. We use to fish all night and would not leave the lake until about 4 or 5 in morning. Of course, I fell asleep on the floor of the boat.
I finally got around to doing this one, my husband loved it. We have three daughters and three granddaughters so when they asked Who is the little girl. I said she represents all of because there wasn't enough room on the boat. Lol. Thank you so much for your talent.
Thank you for including a female fisherman in your painting. Coming from a family with most women enjoying fishing as a hobby going back 3 generations and more... it is nice to see some representation in your art work. Grandma would be pleased to see this painting and imagine the many times she took her grand daughters fishing to share the joy and bonding fishing can provide.
I cant tell you how much I appreciate you using 16x20 canvas, instead of trading it out for tiny canvases sometimes. Its the perfect size for a demo/lesson;)

hi Michelle , ive been painting 8 months and my paintings are never as nice as yours but much better than when I started thanks to your teaching..i have given many away and people say they are very nice but I know what they are supposed to look like..lol...they see the good, I see the mistakes..anyways, ive done the lion, elephant, snowman, books, birds on fence, fawn, hamster , peacock and many more..since u like trees and wild grass how about a couple monkeys in the trees or playing in the grass..there are no tutorials for monkeys that are nice like you paint..i paint every day to improve so im always excited to see what you come up with next..ty Michelle ur top shelf!

Hi Jennifer, You may be able to add a touch of red or pink into the cadmium orange hue to get it similar to the fluorescent orange. I like using some of the fluorescent colors because they easily give the affect that I'm trying to achieve. Have fun painting! ~Michelle

My father died when I was 9 yr old. I have a few memories of fishing with him once or twice. This is awesome..
These are some of the best memories I have of my father. It was the inspiration for the painting.
