I admire how Janelle and Christine showed great restraint when answering questions about Robyn. They know as well as anyone else that Robyn was there for the money.
I agree 💯%. This the first comment that I've seen that is in agreement with me. She lost her financiers, babysitters and now has to contend with man-child Kody all by herself 😅😅😂 Her tears are for the new predicament that is of her own making. Janelle looks the most rested and relaxed I have seen her in years. A good book 2 dogs yo cuddles into at night and no Kody /Robyn drama. It's agreeing with her and the worry free life is making her glow. Leaving a marriage is hard but they did it and are thriving. Unlike the kody pecs and beer barrel man. Lol. Or dowdy old wore out Robyn . Meri looks amazing and loving travelling something she could never do before but working 2 jobs and keeping all the money to herself has allowed her to live her dream

Great interview. I hope to hear Janelle's 'voice' a bit more. I can see that Christine is happy and excited but she does need to let Janelle have the first answer to some of the questions in future interviews. I feel sorry for several of the children and how Kody treated them. The total lack of involvement by Kody during the surgery experience for Ysabel was THE WORST, in my opinion. I'm not trying to take away from the pain of Garrison and Gabe's experiences, but OMG ... poor Ysabel having to hear her father's words and be given a lecture on not becoming bitter because HE could not be bothered supporting what was happening to her. What a God-awful person he came across as, in my humble opinion.

I came here to say the same thing. While Christine has always been my favorite, I have noticed that she ALWAYS answers first. She needs to remember that Janelle is also there for the interview.
Yep, she needs to be told as I feel she is not doing it deliberately and that she is certainly coachable. This is where it is important to have open communications. I also belief if. It bothered Janelle….she would respectfully discuss it with Christine off camera. They are. Best of friends and that relationship grew that way having each others back and ROCKING IT!!!
OMG I love Christine but I wish she let Janelle talk more cuz it seemed like she wanted to say more at times but was cut off. With that said, I’m so happy for both of them 🥰

I think they are right where they want to be. Janelles body language is such that she looks for Christine for support. Girl is no wall flower, lol.
I would love to see Janelle become a public speaker and to see her championing the idea of legal marriages for women in plural marriage. I think she could really start a movement that might eventually provide some real security and protection for these women and their children when and if things go wrong.
Imagine the empowerment she would get from that course. I think she is an amazing woman, with an mild insecurity. She spent so many years abused and bullied by Meri and Kody, and I am not sure she sees that she does and did not deserve that!
Since plural marriage is illegal in the United States, that scenario will not likely happen.

I think it's sad that they didn't address Meri and Leon, and that they aren't a part of the "getting together" events.

These ladies look gorgeous! THIS is what being your own woman looks like!! They don't need all that toxicity, because it wasn't just their bad marriages, it was Kody and Robyn and the toxic damage they inflicted onto the lives of these hard working independent women who were working diligently on their own to support themselves and all of their kids without Kody and Robyn's contribution, we saw it all. That's why the ignorance shines when Kody and Robyn speak, they are too high on their perch to recognize, these ladies don't have to say a word, they put all of his idiocracy out there, the audience is not dumb, we watched it.
Kody and Robyn do for themselves, then have at it, stop saying you want polygamy when you thwarted these women and all of the children out of your family dynamic to cling on to your head wife. Your choice, your consequence guy. These women are glowing, they no longer look so tired and drained (I've lived that exhaustion myself) and once you free yourself, your life begins.
I am so happy for them and wish them the best. I want to see them continue being honest and speaking out about this for all the other women out there who are trapped in that mindset and are prey to manipulators and liars. They have a responsibility to speak up for other women so I hope to see them continue this responsibly. Good interview, this host Knows how to ask the questions! Thank you.

Because Christine stood up for herself and stood up to him. Meri layed down and took it.
He is indifferent to Meri which would probably feel far worse. He was angry that Christine hurt his ego and lashed out. With Meri, he doesn’t even care to get mad. He’s gross and his behaviour is embarrassing.
$$$$$$$ he wanted her to keep contributing financially. Also Kody "managing his relationship with Meri VERY carefully" for the past seven years was so that both he abd Robyn could continue to call themselves polygamists. It's no fun being top wife if you're the ONLY wife.
He was blindsided by Christine leaving, with Meri he had gotten out ahead of it, so he felt he had control over that.
Meri holds more of the purse strings. Also guarantee she knows. ALL the secrets.
When you look back from season 1, you really notice how badly Kody specifically treated Christine. Not only the other 2 OG wives, but how outwardly he picked on Christine. It would come off settle at times, but alot of times not. I think he envied her character.
I agree! With the other wives, he could more easily project one of his character flaws on to them by twisting one of their traits, as narcissists always do to avoid shame. With Janelle he could say she lacks empathy and is materialistic (that's what he is) for her pragmatism, and with Meri he could point to her explosive tendencies when angered (that's what he is), but with Christine, aside from some jealousy she exhibited, what could he really seize upon and project on to her? Especially when she woke up to what he really is, and stopped asking for her needs to be met. He could no longer call her needy and jealous (that's what he is) in the way he could before. He lost control of her. I also think his marriage to Christine was the most 'romantic' in a limerence kind of way, so when he actually fell into major limerence with Robyn, the relationship with Christine was totally displaced, because that was the backbone of that connection. He had a strong foundation of friendship with Meri and Janelle, but with Christine, it was about romantic love and when he married Robyn, he switched off from Christine entirely. That must have been so painful for her.
Because christine has a very outgoing funny personality.... however, Cody has a very outgoing personality and he thinks he's funny. And he wants to be the center of attention.
He was likely upset that she was having kids. He really married her to help Janelle with raising the kids and they were still poor. Christine complained a lot. She talked crap a lot. She is better now…. Kinda. She is a one woman and one man kind of lady.

Christine is charismatic and entertaining. People are naturally drawn to her and Kody perceives that as a threat, so he diminished her every opportunity. I thought it from the beginning. Now she's free to be herself.
@@deee3950I don't see it as Christine using the kids as a weapon. She was their rock. She fed them, taught them, kissed their boo-boos, and made all their birthdays and holidays special. So, of course they will always love her. Unconditional love. Every single one of them. And now she is a grandmother to all their kids. She was and still is the heart of their lives. Christine is a nurturer by nature. Not all women or mothers are.
They are glowing. It's refreshing to see them so happy especially after all they've been through ❤

I think Robyn is grieving about losing Janel’s monetary contribution. She loves to spend money. Leaving Kody and Robyn alone is the best thing to see the real truth, they need the other wives contributions for them to succeed. Left to their own devices they have nothing, and my opinion they will fail. MsS

Kristine is describing the moment you just KNOW. No one can stop it. I left my ex like this. After years of telling him and then one day, I was just over it. And he said he was shocked. I was like, HUH? Did you just ignore me all that time?

Great interview, but I do agree with a commenter that Christine needs to let Janelle answer her own questions. It bothered me everytime she talked over her.

Someone needs to tell Christine to shut up for at least 10 seconds so Janelle can offer a word. In every interview I have watched, Christine just flows at the mouth - I want to hear what Janelle has to say as she has been the most level-headed of all of them.
I enjoy listening to Janelle. She is well spoken and intelligent. I really like her potty mouth when Kody pushes her too far. She is a straightforward person.
Christine is so full of herself, she just can't keep quiet, main character syndrome and auditioning for a show of her own
Yeah, it’s getting old. I understand they have different personalities, but Christine is starting to feel overbearing.
Janelle doesn't speak unless she has something useful to say, but when Christine gets excited it is like her mouth takes over. I feel like she DID try to let Janelle speak a couple of times, but it clearly is something that takes a lot of willpower for her to do. Fortunately, I am sure Janelle is used to it and doesn't let it hurt her feelings.
The women finally saw Cody for who he is and what he is. A weak insecure man. Who is truly mean spirited. I think the final button was when he threw his children away. None of the mothers could stand that part.

I no longer watched after Kotys fit of anger towards Janelle that day in her apartment! Brought back horrible memories of my own abuse long long ago! I watched bc it was fun….ITS NO LONGER FUN @ ALL!
I’m so impressed with these interviews and I’m glad they are free from TLC. The tell alls are ridiculous. I have gotten far more from these interviews. Listen to these women and see their happiness. I’m thrilled for them.

Kody is a narcissistic baby. He cries about how they trash talk him and all they are saying is the truth. He doesn’t even see how he treated them…. And what really bothers me is when he says to Christine “I was never attracted to you”. BS!!! He liked her enough to have how many children with her… He’s such a baby!!!
He’s so gross. What’s worse is that he hates his kids and left them to fend for themselves emotionally when he left them for Robyn and her kids. He’s horrible. Has no intention of living his older children anymore.

These women are amazing and they’re giving Robyn ‘grace’ that she really don’t deserve. Robyn is ‘reaping the seeds she sowed,’ she knew that Kody was showing favoritism and chose not to hold him accountable, she thought they would stick around, accept the abuse and continue to finance her lifestyle. The tears and dramatic reaction from Robyn is ONLY for her loss of money and having them around to be Kody’s emotional punching bag. Robyn did not behave like a ‘sister-wife’…from the beginning it was all about her….good luck with Kody.👍

Kody was always self-centered & egotistical, but the OG3 were encouraging him trying to be & do his best, but he chose to put Robyn first & she encouraged his worst tendencies to gain power & money. He gave all of his love to Robyn & had nothing left over for the OG3. Kody & Robyn cheated the OG3 out of time & resources for them & their children, I think❤❤❤
I just wish they could have had the courage to leave 10 years ago. Wasted years, wasted years, oh how foolish, as we walk on this pathway of life😢😢 you cannot ever just stay for the kids...they grow up and leave
Nah. Leaving is hard. The unknown is sometimes harder than what you know. Minus a dangerous situation, timing of leaving and the threshold and priorities are different for everyone. You know when you know and that is never for anyone to determine. These women left with no questions or what if’s or should haves or could haves, that is why they are thriving. Its easy to say what people should have done but living it, is much different. They look good, feel good, that is confidence and self assuredness that you did everything you could and no regrets. 🎯

Sometimes time heals....but sometimes when you leave a space in someone else's life, someone else comes in a fills that void....those kids are not spending their days in suspended animation waiting for Kody to return...when you show someone how to live without you....don't be shocked if they do. And don't be surprised if they discover that life is less hectic without you.
Sobbin Robyn doesn't show honesty because she sheds NO TEARS!! If she were really upset she would be actually crying.
This is my favorite of all of the interviews with these two I have seen. I am so happy for them that they are finding happiness. They have had an amazing journey !
Kody is not acting well with Meri!! For him to say he could act being in love with Meri now is cruel! He cant pretend to be even a friend to Meri!! Kody is just evil and heartless!
Season 1 episode 4 he really shows how well he can lie to Meri.

The mistake Meri made was to divorce Kody years ago so that "he could legally adopt Robyn's 3 children from previous marriage". IF she had stayed married to him (on paper), I bet Kody would have tried to make their marriage work. By Meri divorcing Kody and allowing him to then marry Robyn, it gave him and Sobyn Robyn legal rights to all assets.
I think he knew he didn’t love Mari anymore when they divorced.

Yeah...In the beginning Robyn was not legally married to Kody but when she got that certificate. She was no longer sharing her real man.
Being on the show allowed the women to know the truth of how everyone truly felt. Those confessional episodes really shed light on why someone was upset. That changes a heart. I think Robin misses the financial side of plural wives. Especially Janelle being such a huge financial loss. Lifestyles have to change when the money stops coming in.
These two need their own series.

Kody is selfish. Too selfish to see anyone else, except in what they can and will do for HIM. He wants his kids to travel to his palace, and be deferential, not only to him, but to their (never acted like a) mother, Robyn. He was asking too much of the kids to always travel to him, always keep a knee bent, and a head bowed. He also makes up 'stories' in his head to explain why it's somebody else's fault the relationship is trash.
I feel bad for Meri. Kody keeps getting a platform to say the most cruel things about her & now media are asking women who aren’t fans of her about it too. It’s plain cruel. I’m thankful they gave kind answers, it’s clear media wanted them to be cruel too. Just leave Meri be. She is a human being

I honestly believed Christine was never really comfortable with Robyn “marrying” into the family! She was pregnant at the wedding and questioned Kody’s love for her (Christine)! Janelle always presented as a comfortable “self made” woman in those days!

Christine and Janelle are such beautiful women. I'm so happy for them. Kody says he never loved any wife except Robyn I don't believe it. I think he's trying to really hurt them all and the love he has for Robyn is on a different level and whatever she's very submissive to him.

Every time Kody stayed at Robyn's on the days he was supposed to be at Meri's, Jonelle's,or Christine's. He was cheating, and Robyn was the other women. Kody abandoned his first 13 biological children. I think one of them needs to hire a forensic accountant and see how the assets was distributed.
