The character you play in hogwarts legacy is arguably the most powerful wizard to have ever existed in hogwarts, i dare say even more powerful than merlin himself. Your first year (or few months) you can solve all of his trials by yourself, and you take out an entire army of goblins who are attacking hogwarts basically single handedly. Do not seek to become overpowered, you already are.
@@blackheartthedarklord6428 he would eat voldemort for dinner. Voldemort wasnt that powerful, he hid his intentions, and cast avada kedavra on anyone who spoke out against him. All his followers he gained literally just feared that if they didnt follow him he would just kill them or torture them. Voldemort vs dumbledore duel proves it, the duel lasts 2 minutes and since he cant “ evada kedavra dumbledore” he runs away.
@@Knowledge.to_Come Also, keep in mind that Voldemort and his Death Eaters are using the Unforgivable Curses normally. Our character on the other hand has access to ancient magic that can allow us to make these curses even more powerful! How do you think the Death Eaters will feel when they see out character killed 5 Death Eaters with one Killing Curse spell?
@@blackheartthedarklord6428 exactly my point. Our character with ancient magic would flip voldemort and 4 of his goons around. No wizard in history got to wield the power our character gets to in this game. Ranrok literally absorbs all the dark power in the reserves in the end and still cant beat us.
@@Knowledge.to_Come The only thing that would be terrifying is if our character had similar gauntlets made out of Goblin silver with ancient magic, like Ranrok, that could help us stop powerful magic (maybe people using the Killing Curse on us) and, this is my personal idea, enchant the Legendary Mask so that it can ward off Dementors and prevent them from giving you the Dementor Kiss and protect us from any mind related spells.
I wish they added Draco Malfoy's "Serpensortia spell" from Chamber of Secrets. Would be awesome to summon snakes to attack your enemy, especially if you're a Slytherin.
I got all the unforgivable curses. It's awesome, especially since I also turned stupefy into a curse and activated the ability to kill all curse people. The dark arts is so worth it
How far in the story do you need to be in order to unlock Avada Kedavra? Cause some people say you just need to be at level 28 and others say you need to be in the late game
@@jack7175 Avada Kedavra is when you finished the questline of Sebastian Sallow and it would be somewhat near the end of the main storyline since you have to progress far enough to make that side quest appear.
Thank you for this one. I just got Avada Kedavra to finish my collection of Dark Arts curses. Now I know how to make the most of them! I know some consider Avada Kedavra the worst of the unforgivable curses but I look at it like this - If I'm going to kill someone anyway - is it really worse to do it in a single blow than to drag it out with a bunch of lesser spells, potions, and plants? Yesterday I found myself in an area with a ton of goblins and a troll. I cast Imperio on the Troll and just waited until he killed all the goblins for me - I felt like I should have a popcorn eating animation :) Overpowered maybe but I play this game to be a powerful wizard. A powerful wizard would not have a hard time dealing with goblins and trolls. I like to save my Ancient Magic for when I really need it and tend to use it more against the Dark Wizards.
One of my favourite tricks is that Imprio doesn't break disillusionment. Your target won't start just attacking everybody around, but the others will target them (and your target will fight back a bit). Imperio's cooldown isn't overly long either, so you can use this to have your enemies take out a more powerful target you may not want to fight directly.
If you take the time to do everything the game has to offer you’ll be lvled easily ahead of the requirement. I’m 33 and just got crucio and finished the 2nd trial lol.
Same asf I barely do the story too busy exploring just finished 2nd trail as well I’m at 29 there’s just a lot to do not as much as ac Valhalla but still plenty to do just enjoying the process
Yep! I'm almost Lvl 26 and have only just finished Flying Class. Been going around collecting pages, doing side quests, exploring and killing enemies, and have done some Merlins, and that water thing puzzle lol Been really enjoying the exploration part of the game, and I switch to questing in between.
I find this kind of frustrating. I am level 28 or 29, everywhere I read says you need to be 27-28 for Avada Kedavra quest to pop, but thats a blatent lie. There is clearly some prerequisite main quest or story progression that has to be made to unlock his quests because I have been vastly over levelled the entire game and I literally have to actively try and get Sebastian's quests to pop. After I finish a main quest I get bombarded with owls and shit. I just got imperio last night and im 28-29 lol.. like something is off. I spent hours doing all my side quests avoiding the main quest last night trying to get the last 2 quests to pop and imperio quest didnt pop until I finished one of the main quests. Note to anyone watching these videos that the people saying the requirement for the quest to pop is 28, is just incorrect. You clearly need to progress the story to some point for each of these curse quests.
The quest is not tied to level 28 directly. It is tied directly to how far you get in the story, as far as I know. I was level 33, and I didn't get the Avada Kadavra quest until I was just about to start the last trial. Other videos I've seen had similar trigger condition.
Honestly, more games need to do this. So many games water down characters or items that SHOULD be OP if done according to lore. For example, every light saber in any Star Wars game.
I guess it's based on how far you've progressed with the story. I'm lvl 19 "almost 20" and haven't learned any of the 3 unforgivables. He did teach me that fireblast ability though but I haven't heard from him since. I just finished another challenge today in the main story though.
also worth noting, if you chose this path, and you will eventually... you can modify flipendo, expelliarmus, and other spells to mark targets as cursed as well along with their existing effects. It's not uncommon to have 6 cursed in a fight just from rotating through your spell library and if you have the killing curse perk, when anyone is struck by it, it's an instant kill on every marked cursed foe around you. 2 trolls and a squad? no problemo... tap them through the cursing spells and light them up.
Yeah but later in talent section, you can used the death curse on anyone and it will kill every other cursed enemies at that present moment, and imperio can be used very strategically and is on fire against trolls
@@AuthorMostafa who's to say what wasn't written into the books never happened? I'm sure Volde took a dump or two, but there's no record of it... try to understand how a story works and separate it from the game mechanics. it'll make fiction work for you all-the-more.
Definitely have to play the story up to a certain point, unlocking and completing the sabastian quest along the way and then meet the level requirement.
I color match my spells to the buttons. Curses on A, damage spells on B, control spells on Y, and gravity spells on X. That way no matter which spell table I'm using, the different color shields are basically color coded to which button I need to press. There are only 3 curses so the final slot for A is what I use to switch out utility spells.
@@cryinpooper that's one way to do it. I personally prefer having one purple, one yellow and two Reds on 2 tables so I can fight almost with that only only swapping from one to the other when cooldowns aren't going my way. I took talents that helps with reducing those too.
I am almost level 24, have done all of Sebastian's quests so far yet i have not gotten "In the shadow of time" can someone help? Like what am i doing wrong i do not understand 😢
I think you must have mode some main story progression as well to even have access to the quest. I know for a fact that you must be in winter to have access to the second curses since Sebastian Sallow only contacted me when I started the third chapter (winter) for the second curse.

@@joegallacher58 I did every Sebastian quest ASAP whenever they popped up. The one for Avada Kedavra doesn't become available until one or two missions before the finale.
You have a *CHANCE* to learn the curses at the end (if you didn't get them the first time around) depending on decisions you make during the final act of the campaign. You can forever lock yourself out of that on that character. So if you want to learn them, it's best to do so the first time it's presented to you.
This configuration imperius, cruccio and kadavra with expe is the best. The second bar, the same but you change disarm for flipendo and next the las slot for momentum, enhance 3 spells in dark magic for curse and you have the best combo. Cruccio when the enemies is clouse your mage the other 3 spells when enemues is far to you for curse them. This 3 spells have different color for pierce bubbles. Cruccio and auto-attack some control spell far enemies and kadavra.
You don't get the curses on level, that's just what level you have to be to do them. Each curse mission unlocks after you complete certain story missions. I got to level 28 in the first chapter and was very upset when I didn't get the mail for any of them
After just buying the game for PS4, I had to get confirmation that I can choose Ravenclaw and still learn the Dark Arts. Glad to know that I can pick the house I want and learn the Dark Arts.
I am at 22, and no unforgivables as well. I guess you need to progress the main story, i am only like 19% complete, been doing all the side quests and relationship quests. Tonight i work on main story. Will updste if anything changes. I have 4 talent points just chillin waiting to be used. Lol
This is not a level unlocking quest is by following the main story... I just got Seb's first shadow mission at level 30 cause I've been doing lots of challenges instead of main story
So once you progress in the story and after you do the quest with the animals for the first time with the girl from hufflepuff you should get owl mail from Sebastian to start
It’s crazy because I’m level 27 and I’ve only got the first one idk if my game is bugged but I’ve been looking for him and a message from him and I haven’t gotten one and it’s taking forever for me to get my broom upgrades after finishing the time trials
I dont get new Owls of Sebastian, i got one where i learned confringo and since then nothing happened. Im level 21 and i dont know what to do to get further owls
You cant get the relic quest until you do the 3rd trial. This video makes it seem like the only requirement is level 28, but you get crucio quest after you do the first trial, imperio after second, and avada kedavra after third.
it would be real nice if the makers of howartls legacy made a final update that enbalbed you to learn and use regualry the follwing 3 magic spells, fyinde fire, the stunning charm, and the scilencing charm. that would be so nice if they did.

It definitely doesn’t go by what level you are, it goes off of you completing certain main quests throughout the game. You can be level 30 & just be learning crucio

Even before you get AK you can slaughter with imperio. Catch a troll with it, run close to it, and spam petrificus totalus on it until it dies. It cant fight back at all.
Is there a guide that tells you how to spend your talents from first level till the end? All guides show what talents to pick for dark arts especially but I would like a guide that also tells you what talents to pick from core, spells or stealth without locking you out from becoming a dark arts master.
It's tied to progress through the MSQ, not level. Just keep advancing the story; there's a section of the game where you have to do three 'trials', and after each one you should get an owl from Sebastian to unlock the one of the unforgivables.
Abit confused as I’m level 35 with Imperio and crucio, no more side quests atm and only 1 main quest but I’ve not had the owl from Sebastian for avada kedavra…
I think these are lv/progress gated. I'm in the 20's for my level and haven't gotten the crucio quest yet ( I've only just completed the first ancient magic trial).

I'd love to know if there are plans to patch in a morality system? From playing for 60+ hours now it's evident that it was likely to be part of the game but seems abandoned, or at least for now?
Changes nothing at all. Your friends will drop a spooked or surprised line when you use unforgivables on team fights but thats all. Doesnt affect story at all.
They way you start this video, it sounds like you're saying that you can only choose one "friend" path, and choosing one over the others will lock you out of the other respective friend paths.. But, I can't find anything online about specifically being able to lock yourself out of any quests... Is this the case, if you choose to do the Sebastian quests, you won't get to do the other "friend" quests?
Do I need to do a certain main mission? I’m level 18 and haven’t gotten any mail from Sebastian …the only mission I did with him was to get the book from the library …
What is the pre-req quest for In The Shadow Of The Study? I've not seen it yet. I went to visit Sebastian's sister, and I do have another quest pending from him but I think the name is different.
not to mention they are unblockable. so doesnt matter what sheild they have either. i wonder if the talent which kills all cursed emenys when ya use the killing curse needs line of sight. to the other cursed targets
@@koenigseggdubstep9837 The outfit minus the mask is a cosmetic you can turn any outfit into it but it is from the Dark Arts Pack that mask in particular is the legendary mask you unlock that in the challenges by completing main missions

You need to be at minimum at level 28 but you must progress through the story missions in order to actually get the side quest which I believe is called “shadow of the relic”? Something like that
Both. Its late game and you hafta be at least lv 28. The best you can do is prioritize all "In the shadow of...." quests and check your owl post constantly for letters from Sebastian.

i’ve fully maxed out all the dark arts skills, and there’s not even a microscopic inch of regret on that decision. it makes combat much more fun

Actually that is true for all the Unforgivable curses that it doesn’t break disillusionment.
A better thing to do is imperio the stronger target, and have it mow down everyone else. Then you can always avada Kedavra it

I killed 2 trolls and a squad of enemy’s 3 levels above using only spells that curse enemy’s ending with Avada Kedavra.Why did Voldemort not do that?

I got avada kedavra at 26 I think it also plays along with the story on when you can get it

Can't wait to use them! I've unlocked all 4 spell tables to be able to have one for those. 2 for combos and normal attacks. One for more utility!

There is one main quest that you cannot avoid where you have the opportunity to learn Crucio. Every other curse is side content I believe.

You can also use the unforgivable traits on your gear, using the loom in the room of requirement. It increases the damage dealt to cursed enemies.

When I got my first curse I was lvl 27. Ya I explored enough to get the xp from. Hunting and collectibles with flying pages
I only got the Imperio curse, I haven’t got that dialogue after the quest to hat AK..

You cant get the relic quest until you do the 3rd trial. This video makes it seem like the only requirement is level 28, but you get crucio quest after you do the first trial, imperio after second, and avada kedavra after third.

it would be real nice if the makers of howartls legacy made a final update that enbalbed you to learn and use regualry the follwing 3 magic spells, fyinde fire, the stunning charm, and the scilencing charm. that would be so nice if they did.

It definitely doesn’t go by what level you are, it goes off of you completing certain main quests throughout the game. You can be level 30 & just be learning crucio

Even before you get AK you can slaughter with imperio. Catch a troll with it, run close to it, and spam petrificus totalus on it until it dies. It cant fight back at all.

All guides show what talents to pick for dark arts especially but I would like a guide that also tells you what talents to pick from core, spells or stealth without locking you out from becoming a dark arts master.

It's tied to progress through the MSQ, not level. Just keep advancing the story; there's a section of the game where you have to do three 'trials', and after each one you should get an owl from Sebastian to unlock the one of the unforgivables.

You don’t have to be level 28 it’s says “recommended” I done it on like level 25 just as it came in my quests

I think these are lv/progress gated. I'm in the 20's for my level and haven't gotten the crucio quest yet ( I've only just completed the first ancient magic trial).
Correct, you have to progress the main story
In my experience the level you are doesn't matter it depends on how far you've progressed
You can see the level requriment in the quest, so yes, it does. But also you have to have done some specific story quest before

I'd love to know if there are plans to patch in a morality system? From playing for 60+ hours now it's evident that it was likely to be part of the game but seems abandoned, or at least for now?

Changes nothing at all. Your friends will drop a spooked or surprised line when you use unforgivables on team fights but thats all. Doesnt affect story at all.

There is one. Kind of. Basic Cast mastery reduces the cooldown of your spells.

They way you start this video, it sounds like you're saying that you can only choose one "friend" path, and choosing one over the others will lock you out of the other respective friend paths.. But, I can't find anything online about specifically being able to lock yourself out of any quests... Is this the case, if you choose to do the Sebastian quests, you won't get to do the other "friend" quests?

Imperio is a cheat code against trolls, and it makes the fight so much easier that you just have to cast pretrificus totalus multiple times.

What is the pre-req quest for In The Shadow Of The Study? I've not seen it yet. I went to visit Sebastian's sister, and I do have another quest pending from him but I think the name is different.
Just do all "In the Shadow" quests and the ones with the curses will pop up eventually. They're also gated by your progression in the story.
My playthrough I'm trying to not use any dark magic and honestly its much harder to pull off then you think

@@koenigseggdubstep9837 The outfit minus the mask is a cosmetic you can turn any outfit into it but it is from the Dark Arts Pack that mask in particular is the legendary mask you unlock that in the challenges by completing main missions

It does appear the story does gate learning the spells. If you don’t have anything from Sebastian you might need to progress a bit more

You need to be at minimum at level 28 but you must progress through the story missions in order to actually get the side quest which I believe is called “shadow of the relic”? Something like that
Both. Its late game and you hafta be at least lv 28. The best you can do is prioritize all "In the shadow of...." quests and check your owl post constantly for letters from Sebastian.
