    I remember the days back in 2011 when it used to take 6 hours and the last Matatu left Nyahururu at 2pm. If you missed it you had to wait for the next day. If it rained on the road woe unto you. You spend the night at the mercy of bandits and flash floods. I can see the worst sections are now tarmaced.

      Things have changed going to Moyale. Going towards Mandera, not so much.

    This video jas been quite enlightening.
    When did you take the video?
    I'm planning of travelling to Marala via Nyahururu

      Possible to do with any car. The gravel is well graded in areas under construction.

    I visited Rumuruti during the New Year. In the video I was sure you took the route outside the town. I saw you rectified the mistake and gave us a tour inside the town. During my tour I drove some kilometers towards Maralal looking for someone who knows of a famous meteorite that fell near the town. Unfortunately only very old men know the story since apparently the expensive rocks fell in 1934 and even those who have kept the gems cannot tell you anything or even show you.

      The towns are Maralala and Nyahururu. The rest is countryside with tracks of pastoralists lands no towns if you watched the full video. You can't capture road signs when they ain't indicated. The ones that are there are visible like Survey and Rimuruti. The rest are centers like Siron, Thiru others you will never know unless you are a resident there, schooled there or you drive while stopping at each to ask. Even google doesn't indicate some of them.

    I am planning to go up that route. Is it safe?

    • @Ninaform
      @Ninaform  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it’s generally safe. Not sure if the current skirmishes in laikipia have affected the area.

      This are mostly footages that I just put as archives. But I have created a new channel to dump them there.

      I love them long. Possibly non edited, I miss a long road trip like crazy, I haven't been in Kenya for ten years and once I return I must circulate the entire country like I never did before,,thanks for the video,,samburu I shall go n see

      We want them longer.Cant afford missing where potholes are when you plan such a trip.

    • @BS-kl9yf
      @BS-kl9yf 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@victorndunda2943 I totally agree. Many people watch to plan their trips. Those who feel they are too long can skip or check Citizen and other channels that shorten when doing news in those regions.
