Excellent video Dan such a beautiful animal, unfortunately ive never seen a live badger only dead ones on the side of the road. All your hard work has paid off. I liked how you got the chiffchaff whilst filming
Nice one Dan , obviously loved this one as the badgers are special to me, it wasn't just the wonderful captures and footage but also the long term surveillance and great stories, as I've mentioned previously they have been visiting the garden for some 5 years ,they still come even if we were away for a couple of weeks, so even if we're in France I could still keep an eye on them. Loved the video as always and anticipating the next cheers Derek 👍
Hi Dan - you've made a fabulous film about badgers here. Loads of great shots with the badgers stealing all the scenes as well as great advice for people about how to observe them without disturbing them. We've given a plug to you and your channel on our various social media channels. All the best. Simon
Super stuff Dan. Love the way you show your set up & explain the why’s, when’s, where’s & what for’s behind it. Some cracking footage & stills mate, really special stuff & it’s great to see it paying off for you after 6 months effort put into it. Well done mate. Keep on keeping on! Best, Nick
Beautiful video Dan...only those of us who make theses wildlife videos know the time (months !!) it can take to produce a 15 mins video but your enthusiasm shines through...I'm currently working on a Fox project that started 18months ago and wish I'd filmed it now as your videos making me envious !! :-). Got myself a 3D camo suit but not used it yet !! Hope Pops doing well
Thanks very much Nigel, I would love a fox project but they have been so heavily persecuted near me that it’s extremely rare to see one. I look forward to seeing your results mate. All the very best 👍🏻
Absolutely breathtaking thank you for sharing your experience with these lovely creatures. I would do anything just to be in that situation. Hopefully one day I will come across some and do the same.
Incredible animals. What stands out for me in this video is the work you have put in to studying them. Seeing badgers like this doesn't happen by accident, unless you are very lucky. Thank you for sharing this video Dan, they are lovely animals and thank you for the hard work you have put in to producing this video. I must look into getting some camo gear. Regards Andy
That's so awesome! Great stuff! Thanks so very much! I had a jacket like that when I was hunting and I had a song sparrow land on my shoulder. I love seeing the badgers.
Cracking video as usual. Hope viewers appreciate the many hours of work you will have put in to being able to get this. As you say, a lot of time goes into knowing your subject and habits. Together with scouting and researching a location it's probably 90% or more of the work so have enormous respect for your dedication and commitment. All the best and look forward viewing your ongoing projects.
Many many thanks Alexander for appreciating the effort. I’ve genuinely enjoyed the journey of getting to know this badger clan and the photos are a bonus compared to spending time in their company. All the very best 👍🏻
Another amazing video Dan and your reward for all your hard work over those previous months. Fantastic! 👍 Would you mind telling me where you got the camo gear from. Thanks Ian
Magnificent! I don't mind admitting I'm a bit envious now. I've just convinced myself I need a mirrorless camera. My 1D has the loudest shutter release mechanism in the southern hemisphere. Those badgers would be straight back down the hole the first time I touched the shutter release button! 👍
I used to have the exact same problem with my D500, the first burst and they were off. Now I get so many more opportunities working in silence. All the very best John 👍🏻
NICE ONE DAN, I WAS FORTUNATE TO SEE A BADGER AT MINSMERE IN DAYLIGHT, IS THAT YOUR OWN CAMERA AND LENS ? FINNALLY HOW"S POPS ? KEEP THEM COMING REALLY GOOD PHOTOGRAPHY ENJOYED IT.
Thanks very much Malcolm. It is my camera and lens, I got them back a couple of weeks ago. Pops is doing great and features on my latest video thanks for asking mate 👍🏻
Yes I watched her video. As I stated in the beginning of the video I know camouflage is not essential but I definitely think it gets you some very close encounters and essentially allows me to repeatedly visit this set without any disturbance 👍🏻
@danwillis_photography no, they are well protected. But there's loads of human activity all over our crowded country. Maybe that's why? Not sure. Will try to finish a badger vlog this month. Great video by the way!
Just great area there and beautiful photos from you. Like 401 ♥
Thanks very much I really appreciate it 👍🏻
Excellent video Dan such a beautiful animal, unfortunately ive never seen a live badger only dead ones on the side of the road. All your hard work has paid off. I liked how you got the chiffchaff whilst filming

Quality video again Dan fantastic animals, had the good fortune to see Badgers on a Scottish workshop 12 months ago. Keep up the good work mate.
Thanks very much Kevin I really appreciate it mate.

Very beautiful images of badgers. At my house, they only come out at night (because of hunting, among other things) . Thank you !
Thanks very much, it is quite unusual for them to be out in daylight here for exactly the same reason.
All the very best 👍🏻
So good mate. Brilliant film 👌🏻
Cheers Adam, I really appreciate that 👍🏻
Great video mate, love the piggy back shot, been trying to get my PMs doing that, keep just missing it.😢😃😃👊👌

My 1dx 2is good for one burst … usually they look at you tho….and then their gone forever…we got a r3 problem solved 👍
@@alisonandguywildlifephotograph Yes the mirrorless cameras solve that problem.
They certainly do 👍🏻
I used to have the exact same problem with my D500, the first burst and they were off. Now I get so many more opportunities working in silence.

Fabulous video!

do you know the badger photo of Rachel Bigsby? Z9 with 135mm/1.8 and not camouflaged!
P.S: The photos without flash are much better.
Yes I watched her video. As I stated in the beginning of the video I know camouflage is not essential but I definitely think it gets you some very close encounters and essentially allows me to repeatedly visit this set without any disturbance 👍🏻
Our Dutch badgers even see me in camo. Very shy over here, often emerge after 10 p.m.
@@TimsWildlife wow that’s incredible Tim, are they heavily persecuted?

Dlaczego nie pokazujesz w kamerce siebie i borsuków. sztucznie to wygląda jak byś kiedy indziej nagrał borsuki a siebie podłożył.
That’s not the case. It’s difficult to film myself and badgers in the same shot.
You are entitled to your opinion but it’s wrong
They are so cute! Need to get me some camouflage. Will work wonders on my ugly face! 😂
😂😂😂 that made me giggle. Thanks very much mate 👍🏻
Amazing video!
Thanks very much I really appreciate it 👍🏻
