Is there a way to carve out foam for the stick without a machine?
You could try to make a V channel in the foam using an exacto knife.
Would you happen to have templates for this sword?
Unfortunately no. But it's such a simple shape that I'm sure you would be able to trace it yourself on paper to build one :)
True!
Well done maker, you should make Anduril Flame of the West from Lord of the Rings.
Thank you! And yeah, that's gonna go on my list :)
Very niiice!
Thanks!
Thank you for all of your videos, you helped me so much!!
You're welcome! Thank you for the support! :)
:D
@@TristanMaker what kind of store did you buy the eva foam?
It's a local foam seller in Montreal, called True North Cosplay. :)
@@TristanMaker thank you for your help I very appreciate it

Haha yes!
do you know anything about how eva foam compares to insulation foam for making weapons? is one better than the other?
If you're talking about the big 2" thick foam boards, they work great, especially for bigger weapons. I made astrid's axe from how to train your dragon in a past video using insulation foam. It's a bit lighter than eva foam, but can get dented more easily. If you're gonna carry it all day in a convention, insulation foam might be better. If you want a more detailed and more solid prop, eva foam is better.
Congrats on 1000 mate, Oakley sent us.
Hey, thank you! :)
Are Eva Foam weapons LARP safe
Unfortunately no. They are simply not soft enough.
Very well made video!
Thank you!
looks cool!
Thank you!
Well done man. From the awesome Prop and paint job to your no nonsense to the point video editing.
So that awesome texture was achieved just with the Flex Seal ?
Hey thanks! Yes the texture is just the flex seal. But the deep cuts were acheived with the rotary tool.
@@TristanMaker Thanks. I've seen people use cotton fibers from cotton balls applied with watered down glue to achieve a nice corroded texture. You sound Canadian. So Hi from a fellow Maker and Canuck from Quebec City.
Yes I've seen people use that technique, I'd like to try it someday. And yes I'm from Montreal! Nice to know I have viewers from Quebec! :)
