@@a.gazelle9930 I had two procedures so far. No pain, but very uncomfortable. Second time was better, because I knew what to expect. It is doable. Good luck!
Thank you! Answered several of my questions, especially on the maintenance schedule. Just finishing my the 6th round on the initial BCG treatments with very minor side effects (thankfully). I also have an enlarged prostate and keeping the BCG in my bladder was not an issue
Had stage 2 bladder cancer, non invasive. Treatment was BCG straight in 2 the bladder. The side effects burning while urinating and the frequency. Adult diapers were used and still on going for a year now, as the bladder tends to leak. In september 2023 go8ng to have the camera in again to see and to have a laser at the ready to remove any debris if found.
How well does this treatment work when patients have difficultly holding their urine do to prostate issues? What sort of changes/alterations are done to ensure the patient can hold the medicine for the necessary amount of time?
Completed 6 treatments without any issues and tolerated so well that I usually held it in longer - hopeful there will be no reoccurrences, but unknown if I'll need additional treatments.
I never had any side effects and took all treatments actually leaving the BCG in longer than necessary. So far, no reoccurrence, but only the 6 treatments. I wonder if taking oncology treatments could be good insurance to preventing any reoccurrences? I have changed my diet significantly to eat healthier foods as well with more plant-based foods.
Great presentation. I’ve had the 1st session of 6, then another of 3. The first treatment of the third session has caused more discomfort, burning and frequent urination. Is there anything specific that can help with these symptoms?
Tomorrow I am going to have my number 6 BCG treatment that should be the last for this time. I have had it so awful after the second treatment and now I can’t take it anymore. It’s approximately eight weeks ago I got a RE-TURB surgery. Yesterday the crust of the wound came out for the sixth time. Don’t know if I get “the last” BCG tomorrow!
Did 6 treatments in december now finishing 3rd treatment monday so far so good.I call it pain day because the pain of the catheter going in is so painfull i have to hang on to side of bed even with them putting numbing it still feels like hot iron going in.They say I`m the most sensitve patient theyve had, lucky me.Catheter coming out isnt as bad because i tell them to take it out little quicker than normal.Like ripping a bandaid off.Coming out pain only lasts about a minute.Only side affects i get are shivers and small hot flashes.Second and third day after I`m physically exhausted and have to urinate frequently
Interesting. He says BCG is given after the cancer cells have been removed. So used as a preventive in coming back. In my case I have a low grade non invasive Urothelial carcinoma and my 'tumor' is flat and appears red. Even tho it is flat and was tested as non invasive he said he could not remove it and will treat it as CIS. I didn't really understand why but he has me set up for 6 treatments as discussed in the video. He also said although the red spot gave him concern he thought I had a good chance of knocking it out after the six are completed. I hope he knows what he is talking about. I will start my first treatment in 3 weeks.
Thank you, 6 BCG then 6 BCG with Interferon , still pink so 6 gemsideabene with docipaxsil then another 6 then 3 repeated 3 and now in 3 months Cystoscopy. Long haul, and trying to be positive but difficult, mind plays tricks
Had my first BCG today after they removed a tumour, when they pulled the catheter out I couldn’t stop wanting a pee ouch, and you need a bucket beside you as you don’t have time to get to the toilet🤦♂️😂
My father has CIS and was told he would need BCG. If I understand right, they don’t do surgery for CIS because there is no tumor to remove, it just coats the lining of the bladder like a patch. Has anyone gone through this? He is 89 years old. His bladder is inflammed and ulcerated already. I can’t imagine putting something in it to make it more inflammed.
th-cam.com/video/RcAXk_Dxlbc/w-d-xo.html I also did green tea and a few supplements that also kill cancer or stop it. Garlic is one. Pls also look at Dr Eric berg cancer information. Lots of love I hope he makes it to a century. . Hope I'm helping you and pls watch the video.

I’m starting BCG treatment April 4th. I was told when I come home each time I urinate I have to put 2 cups of bleach in the toilet let it sit for 15 minutes then flush. I have to do this gif 6 hours. My concern is we have a septic system and I’m not sure how all this bleach could possibly affect it? Any suggestions?? Thanks
I had 12 BCG treatments over a 2 year period with good results.
I had 15 treatments of BCG for my Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer with good results over a two year period. Great video 🤩🙂
Just finished 3 years of BCG maintenance schedule, all clear so far.
Is it painful? I'm scheduled for the next 6 weeks to take BCG.
