This not only about Prithvi. It's for all those folks who are feeling downtrodden and oppressed. Robbie explains it in pointers towards the end. A true gentleman of the game, Robbie Sir!
it’s heartening to see other cricketers caring about Prithvi Shaw before it’s too late….the way robbie explained everything….Prithvi should atleast consider this and work on himself….talent just reflects you cannot just hit 6 fours in an over without some real talent
Robin, You are proving to be a superb human being. We saw your reaction on Ashwin's channel on India's WC victory and this was such a genuine gesture in offering a fallen sports person useful albeit unsolicited advice. Hopefully this message reaches Prithivi Shaw and helps in restoring his self belief and commitment to himself. You were so genuinely authentic by sharing your own struggles and journey to a dark place and back. More power to you for revealing your vulnerability on a public forum for altruistic purpose . We wish to see many many years of your presence around Indian cricket, be it commentary of your YT channel!
Robin, You did a fantastic job by dedicating this video to Prithvi. We as a country can’t loose a talent like him. He will have to come back. We have seen a waste of talent in Vinod Kambli and it will be a pitty if this gets repeated. Hope Prithvi finds right people who can write his come back story. All the best to him.
Prithvi Shaw is in such a great place atm that he can ask any ex-cricketer for help and they will happily help him. Just like Rocky went to Apollo Creed when he lost the fight to Clubber Lang in Rocky 3 and then completely rebuilt himself. I am certain the same can happen for Prithvi Shaw
This is not a movie... Prithiv shaw did not listen to the legendary batsman as well as coach of delhi ipl team Ricky pointing, who else would he listen?
This is not something that can be improved over one day. He needs someone alongside him for a sufficient ength of time to make the transition to an acceptable level of work ethic.
Bhai uska most likely (my well informed guess) rahu ka mahadasha chal rahi hain which in whatever position it is, is not clearly favourable to him. Yeh mahadasha 20 saal ki hoti hain, agar 5 saal pehle start Hui hogi then he still will be going to act like this for many more years. He will most likely end up broke by the time he is 40 and a very regretful man.
The most crucial part of Shaw's redemption will be his mental fortitude. Overcoming past setbacks requires not just technical adjustments but also a change in mindset. Shaw's comeback story could be one of the greatest if he manages to channel his talent and focus on what truly matters: hard work, fitness, and a strong mental game. "Support and affection from Bhutan."
Prithvi i know you're seeing the public reaction, as you see that everyone wants you to make a comeback, nothing is lost yet.. you got this my man.. YOU GOT THIS 👊
Robbie has been one of the most underrated and ever talented multi dimensional cricket I have ever seen....after seeing the wc24 video with ash na and the maturity you had gained over years, I became a fan of you not just in cricket but on a personal side as well .......
This is not just for prithvi Shaw but for every person in any field who wants to come back strong and rule .. you nailed it sir and truly inspirational .
Thanks Robin sir, it is not just for Prithvi only, there are many people like him who are currently struggling in their fields. You have motivated me to improve myself. One day I will thank you personally for your guidance. Time to make a comeback!! 💪💪
Wow Robin such a moving story bro. I’m not a cricketer but an ardent fan of the game. I always to true athletes like you for motivation when I’m going through a challenge in life. You are alwaa rockstar & I admire you a lot. 💙💙 Keep rocking Robin 💙
Excellent analysis and suggestions. Hope Shaw watches this video. He should change the company he keeps for his own good. Hope he realizes before it's too late.
I wish Prithvi watches this one, this will change his trajectory. Utthappa your words of wisdom that came from your own experiences will transform his and many others lifestyles
robbie bhai kind of you to understand his situation and lay out a process of comeback .......bhai would love to listen from you about mindset during your career !
Excellent analysis Robin. Great advice and suggestions. I really hope Shaw listens to this video. He is only 25. He can definitely come back. He has incredible talent. I wish him the very best 😊
What everyone seems to overlook is the emotional fragility and what this young man has been coping with - the death of his mother at age 4. Only someone who has lost a mother, and then again, a mother at 4 yo, will truly understand the wounds he carries. Yes this man-boy needs to heal but I dearly hope the cricket community can show some grace.
This is too much, lot of people are there in india who have lost their parents in their child hood. My friends father passed away due to cancer when he was studying in class 1 . This is not a excuse 😂
Definitely want him back in ind playing 11, but want his head on shoulders feet on the ground and a reliable consistent performer. Everyone goes through bad phase, everyone need a chance to comeback. Road to it is very hard and treacherous, need some balls to get on it.
9:26 this is it. I am sure that he's depressed because of his body image issues, the hair loss does not help. He is not a tall guy but I am sure that the hair loss was a major setback for him. I mean, can you imagine how isolating that is? For someone who won the u-19 world cup and had a test debut ton, I am sure he wasn't looking forward to losing his hair so early. All the insta posts and reels that we see, is definitely an escape for him. I am sure he has asked himself this question multiple times, "where am I supposed to go? How can I run away from all this? Why is this happening to me?". For someone who has his life out in the open for the public, it's really difficult to just run away.
Out of the many parallels you share with P.Shaw, one that stood out is having that one ‘person’ in life. You acknowledged Praveen Amre’s role in your comeback, and coincidentally P.Shaw spent a lot of time with him - even outside IPL seasons. Tells me, it is more about the individual than the coach.
Prithviraj shaw is a wonderful and most fearsome opener to bowl to in any format. I Pray and wish he finds the mental fortitude to make a come back for India's sake.
I do not think it is anybody’s business to critique any player. For a rich sports body like the BCCI, it is focused only on making the next deal, not in player development - and that includes counseling when a player is down, or in having a coaching network to help a player rectify deficiencies. Shaw is an incredible player and is expected to self-coach, deliver instant results. And then we have deadwood in the current Test team who are there only because of the overall monetary value to Indian cricket. Vinod Kambli is a classic example of a player who should not have had the experience he did have. Everyone in the system was in a frenzy to make moolah for himself - Kambli was left to find his own bearings - he instead went into deep depression and alcoholism. Everything about Shaw can be criticised and he can meet the same fate.
He is a good player but with his very little footwork & his issues with short pitch bowling he's always going to struggle in international cricket..Wish him well with his life though hopefully he'll be able to put it back on track very soon
Yeah that's what I was looking in the comment section. When you focus his stance although he is looking way fat for cricket. He has a long gap between bat and pad. And when he is too fat then for an inswinging bowler he cannot adjust only luck can favour him.he need to work alot and if he does then he would be very good batsman but as of now we can see there is a lot of competition in indian cricket especially for opening slot let's 👀
He will not be complete but a lot of if can be fixed so that he may still be terrible in New Zealand or South Africa but at least be good in other places. He needs to focus on fitness and focus on technique and of course focus on his mental health. The first and last would be enough for IPL. But, if he works hard on technique, he can at least become an ok player internationally - at least in limited overs. He needs to work on his shot selection.
Prithvi has a good attacking game maybe he is not much compact now for a longer format from past few years but definitely he has to be selected in the auction
So many sport related persons are giving their own opinions regarding prithvi shaw's issue. But the fact is what he wants. If he is ok with whatever he have already achieved in his small carrier, he will never be able to make a strong come back...

Prithvi shaw should concentrate in red ball cricket considering almost all indian batters performance in tests are underwhelming. But it will be very hard for him to come back in limited overs anytime soon considering all batters whenever gets a chance makes full use of it.

Honestly, I find myself not caring much about where his career is headed when the guy himself can't care less The current predicament he finds himself in is of his own doing (to a large extent) There are such examples in all fields where young talents lose their way - and usually have to pay/suffer more than Prithvi Shaw (who is still playing and earning and has considerable wealth if reports are to be believed) --- I think indian cricket fans and audience need to stop hyping him. He has not done anything for his country, only for his own cause (which is not a crime - but people should stop acting is a nation's big loss that Prithvi Shaw has willingly walked down this path of self destruction) There are better and more deserving talent (Rinku singh) for example whose achievements should be acknowledged and rewarded with faith and support from the board and fans alike And all respect to Gill for staying true to the sport
All that is fine, but can we speak about the huge gap his mother's death caused was never filled? Not by his aunts or grandmothers. He lives with his father, good man, lots of support...but when a very very young Prithvi lost his mother, he lost a deep connection with himself. Now he is not able to find himself in the front of the cameras all the time. Look at Sachin, he lived with his aunt and uncle who took care of him like their own son, apart from having his parents, grandparents and older brother always looking out for him, supporting and loving him. It's so easy to blame the young shaw who has a lot of well wishers and guides but nobody to diagnose the actual problem, mother.
Prithvi Shaw dropped the proverbial ball. He is a prime example that talent alone will get you nowhere if you dont add discipline and hard work to it. How can he expect somone to pay him to play when he has gained this much weight which indicates a lack of discipline. An athlete has to be in fighting shape, lean, muscular not fat and balding. He loos like he often drinks alcohol and eats dirty. Modern cricket is a fast moving sport and hes left behind.
Imagine if he was your son, brother, nephew, or another beloved relative. Would you exploit him for views and earn money? He is just a child, so let him be himself. He will return stronger than ever.
@@souravpaul2179 Yes, a 25 year old without a mother needs to be given space and time to improve. Compare that with kids of other big cricketers. Shaw is a self made boy.
bhai camera lense clear kr lo pls. By the way, I think the biggest problem with Shaw is him not accepting that there is something wrong with him. Unless you yourself recognise what is wrong, you can never change things
He needs a team of people around him, firstly he needs a personal trainer to get in shape. Then he needs to do therapy to overcome his self-destructive behaviour. Lastly he needs a good coach to correct his technical flaws

@ yes we do watch and play this beautiful game of cricket 🏏
Prithvi i know you're seeing the public reaction, as you see that everyone wants you to make a comeback, nothing is lost yet.. you got this my man.. YOU GOT THIS 👊
Unpopular opinion but Prithvi Shaw is much more talented than Shubhman Gill but the later had a far better work ethic.
should not be unpopular. but huge difference in work ethic as u said
Nahi. u19 worldcup me Man of the series Gill tha..
No bro gill is much more talented evolved and skilled than shaw
Talent is never enough!!
How do you define talent. To me, the ability to stay focused is also a talent.
Forget about P Shaw. I want you to make a comeback ❤... love that lofted drives
Yes he will , a genius of a Player 🎉
Wow! That's so heartening from Robin pajji to share life lessons that could help Prithvi Shaw see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm glad you found something relatable bro, even if in a different field.
Please talk about karun nair also, it's our request Robby...........

Me and my family Favorite Batsman You are love from Pakistan Karachi
You had some backings
First time hearing Robin use the word ' Weed Out' 😅
If he even spends a month staying with people like Robin, Zak, DK, Ashwin... (not for cricket practice)... Prithvi will get a good reboot to start again
When he will appoint good PR like virat, rohit, shubnman then he will definitely come back....😂😂😂😂
But who will give the PR for his fitness. Nobody will say he his mere 24 aged
Please share this video to prithivi Shaw
