That's fine, but that's not what your TH-cam video says. Your title says ...Try Repairit for Free. Dude that is a misleading title.

I was recording a wonderful footage on my DJI mini 3 this morning, but i lost it. Actually i started video recording on the DJI Fly app on android (and the footage was being saved directly to the phone, because i had forgotten my card) and i flew my drone for sometime. Then i had to take a picture of my fellows. I assumed that the DJI app will continue recording in the background, i pressed the home button and opened my phone's camera app and took a few pictures. Later i was suprised to find out that the recording had stopped automatically when opened the camera app. but what shocked me was that the drone footage wasn't saved on my. Logically, the drone footage is being feeded to my phone in real time, so if the recording stops the footage should appear in the phone. Is there any way i can get the footage back? Please help!
When I first started using my drone I was always forgetting to stop recording before powering down and disconnecting. I guess I was always so nervous about flying and landing that I forgot about the camera. The amount of times I'd forget to hit record and then pull off a really smooth move, haha. Popping the card back in and powering up again always worked for me with corrupted files though, which is always a bit of a life saver!
I have shut off my drone many times without pushing the stop button on the video and I have corrupted a ton of them. I tried DJIFix but it did not manage to fix all of them, so I will give this one a try, but for the price, I will just teach myself to stop recording before shutting down. Sorry, I thought it was too expensive. However, fair play to you, great video.
Hi Matthew, what I have experienced in the past is if I turn the drone off before the stop recording button on the controller this comes up with a cannot read files when I come to play on my MacBook, I try it again later and get the same message, try it again in a few days and it then seems to play the recording! ..... have you ever experienced this problem? Just PUT SD-card BACK TO DRONE and turn it on! This is what help me with my MINI 2. In section "How do broken .mp4 files happen?" Mattheww says that this problem happened because video wasn't properly saved. And when you put you SD card back to drone it will finish saving and your video will be repaired)) It happened with me when I forget to turn off video recording before I turn off my drone
@@TheDroneCreative my problem is I land and hit the power bottom before stopping the recording and that messes up the file. I got into this habit with my action cameras (works fine with them) and it’s a hard one to break🤣

any idea how to fix issues with the gimbal? after i tried to start the mini 2 from my hand it crashed. Since than the gimbal isn't 100% in horizon anymore, for simple photos i have to fix the correct horizon manually.
I crashed my Mavic Mini a few months ago. I flew it into a tree. After that incident the gimbal wasn't horizontal anymore, and no matter how many times I adjusted it, it was always off. I sent the drone for repair, the crash had damaged one of the arms of the gimbal. I paid about 90 euro for the repair, as requested, they sent me a new drone instead.
Reapairit did not work for me. Partially cleaned the file up, but not usable video. I put the card back in the drone turned it on waited 5 minutes and the drone finish the file uncorrupted.
Great timing as a I just had an issue with my SD card. I was receiving an error message via my Mini 2 stating I needed to format my SD card. I have been offloading the contents of the SD card on a regular basis to allow more space. However, I noticed that the card volume was still showing almost full. I went ahead and formatted and that cleared the content. Do I need a new SD card or can I still use it?
If you formatted the card and it is now showing the correct volume then you should be good to go. If it does the same thing again, it might be time for a new SD card.

Compare it to a book library - you want a specific book and ask the assistant where it is to be found. She checks the index on her computer and tells you where the book can be found. It’s the same with a memory card. Format a card and an index (File Management System) is created. Take a photo and an index is associated with it so in short, as with the library example, just because the card index has gone walkabout doesn’t mean the book has disappeared from the shelves. File recovery software as in this video attempt to repair the File Management System which is often where the corruption lies. If you format the card yourself first, you’ll be building a new index but it won’t be associated with any files.
Very misleading video... the "free trial" just lets you download the software, NOT your repaired video. You have to purchase a license to download anything. Not opposed to purchasing it if it really works, but the grainy low res preview you can only view isn't enough to prove to me it works well enough to justify the purchase.
This worked for me. Put the sd card back in the drone, turn it on and give the drone chance to save the file. Also try saving the hires file to your phone via DJI Fly.

When I transfer videos to my pc I see lots of information on the video that includes fstop, height and distance the drone flew plus lots of other information. Same thing if I watch the video on my tv from the sd card. When viewing on my phone I don’t see this. What’s happening?
I get this is old footage but if anyone has an idea.... ive a dji mini 4 pro, I can view any video footage on my laptop no issue, it's when I transfer the files to an android device that the video file becomes unviewable. Any ideas?

When I returned home one of the mp4 files would not play. I searched the TH-cam and found some older repair it yourself methods that didn't really work. I did find a website called Recoverit by Wondershare with a free download and after running my corrupted mp4 drone file using their Recoverit program I was able to get a repaired and working beautiful copy of my corrupted mp4 video file of my grand kids but only after I allowed the program to run the file through what it called its advanced option. Then when I went to the save your video tab I was taken to Wondershare website and given there options to save my repaired video all of which wanted you to buy a subscription plan starting from $70 a year and up. After reading the fine print page I decided not to use this website because there was wording I didn't like.
Hi, Matthew heres one for you or any one that can figure this out, this moring Im viewing a video, as I go to watch the next video I noticed the 1st video got corrupted, I have tried repaitit, VLH, windows repair, & a few others it just cant get repaired. If anyone has had the same issuse & figured it out, let me know. It was working fine untill this morning.

Popping the card back in and powering up again always worked for me with corrupted files though, which is always a bit of a life saver!
Just start a new video on the drone and then it will correctly fix the unfinished file. No need for additional software.

If you have offloaded the data then you should format the SD card IN THE DEVICE (mini 2) rather than on your desktop or laptop.

my sd card was full. now its undetected in pc. what to do?
This worked for me. Put the sd card back in the drone, turn it on and give the drone chance to save the file. Also try saving the hires file to your phone via DJI Fly.

the free trail gives you a 30 second video of the repair. you need to buy to get the full video
