True. Vijay Sethupati was phenomenal indeed. Hrithik doesn't impart the darkness that vijay was capable of. Maybe the plot helps. We'll see when the movie comes

The scene of Hrithik jumping from heights to cut through the guy, was explained in just words in the original to say how cruel he is!
Hrithik's interpretation of Vedha is interesting. It's still very similar to the original character, but more of a wild card. VJS did a more controlled, subtle version of the character.

Again.. if you wanna watch Hrithik in a dark role, do a watch along of his Agneepath. All the actors have done a tremendous job in that movie.

This is definitely the darkest role of hrithik. The level of evil he showed Just in this trailer is more than he did in the whole of Agneepath. He's literally the bad guy here and he's a psycho.

The part where Hrithik jumps and slits someone comes through as a conversation between the cops when we are first introduced to them at the police station and i wondered why that wasn't shown.. here they made that right .. it was brilliant to watch that
This movie is such a master piece I watched the original one in theatres in Tamil even the colour of clothes the protoganists wear has some meaning in this movie. And how they turn the colours by the end of the movie there is no black and white it's all grey is actually a perfect line as they say. ♥️

With the recent track record of Saif Ali Khan, I'm more excited to see his acting. He has been doing films for long and I love many characters played by him. Saif is going to be equally important character in the movie if not more important than Hrithik. I'm excited! ❤️

I have watched Tamil version and I was blown out by the slick and tight thriller of a movie. Everyone liked it and Vijay setupathi’s stardom raised to new levels. I must say that the Hindi version has raised the bar and I trust the people involved in the project. Hrithik, Saif, radhika and director duo from original.
Man this looks more wild and brutal than Original. No offense I liked the Vedha from original he was very grounded to his character like perfect. But I am also liking this take on it. No matter how different role you give to this man, you cannot hide his handsomeness 😂😂. After all the directors are same and I think they want to add certain new ounces with this big budget.
Im with Achara here, the teaser didnt really appeal to me, but the trailer surely looks great! I have high expectations now.

So basically the plot of Vikram Vedha is loosely based on an Indian folk Lore of Vikram Betal. So Betal is a ghost or a phantom who rides on the back of the righteous king Vikram whenever the king goes to his forest. While riding his back Betal poses very crucial questions where the king has to decide between right and wrong. And he gets off only when the answer is right.

Comparing this with original one will be stupidity.
Just go & watch it without any expectations & I guarantee that you will be blown....
The last shot Saif wearing white shirt and Hrthik wearing black shirt shows the sides of good and bad. Good to see some changes in movie rather than exact copy. Pushkar gayatri well done again.

I think in Tamil version of Vikram Vedha. Vijay sethupathi and Madhavn characters are Acting equally Balanced, but Hindi version Hrithik Roshan do well in his character but Saif Ali khan was not perfect for this Acting has Vikram character.
Agreed... Madhavan looked like a cop, whereas Saif looks like a model on the cover of a magazine... Both Vijay Sethupathy and Madhavan had not only the perfect mannerisms, acting for their respective roles, they had the right body types too of a casual looking, human looking cop and a gangster. Hrithik is a brilliant actor, so he is able to give that human vibe despite his looks, but Saif, naah...
Hrithik is lit here though honestly... Better than I expected...

My comments were based on my personal opinion on this trailer alone... He looks too chiseled to realistically look like a common cop you'll come across, than Madhavan did... Madhavan looked real... Saif (in this trailer) looks like a chiseled model / actor, who is playing cop not a real cop cop...
I have watched Original Vikram Vedha 3 times that is ❤️ but if i see from Vikram Betal point of view then Hrithik is much more close to Actual Betal n thats what excites me to watch this…N with the Budget i see a huge difference in the way story will be retold ..visuals,Action all is looking great…Not a fan of remake but this is 🔥

Here it looks more like a hritik film but Tamil had like 2 powerful contrasting performances
No they waited for the rain to come and then they shot the scene.Thats what every scene was shot sunlight,Night, evening and many more
As much as Saif is able to act and as much as he has tried his best to jack himself up, it still feels an off-putting battle looking at Hrithik and his body. Like the best person ever to come close to looking like a legit opponent for Hrithik was tiger ( action wise ofcourse, not acting wise)

Some facts about the remake:
1) Neeraj Pandey, the director of movie like Baby, Special 26 and creator of Special ops, brought the rights to the Tamil movie in 2018 and decided to retain the original directors for the remake as well.
2) The directors were given free choice in casting, so they had decided on SRK and Aamir khan playing the leads. Aamir Khan was supposed to play Vikram and SRK was to play Vedha. Both of the actors backed out later.
3) The role of Vedha was considered for many actors before Hrithik joined in 2021. He was working on a remake of the British web series "The night manager"and stepped in after it was postponed. At one point, even he decided to back out due to date issues.
4) At one point, Madhavan was considered to reprise his role of Vikram.
5) Shooting began in late 2021, with some parts of the movie shot in UAE. The original movie had a much smaller production budget.

Its commendable how they even got Puli and his girlfriend's slap at the right time. The song is pretty similar to Karuppu Velai, but the Hindi lyrics are to die for, as in you die when you listen to them. Otherwise, it looks to me that Hrithik might be able to get pretty close to Vedha's character even if Saif is not able to get closer to his.

Just watched the original Vikram Vedha , somehow Saif in the role of a cop so honest and with so much integrity that his own team hides the fact that they were all taking bribes, does not suit. Madhavan has that look, and so suited the character perfectly. Same for Vedha character, Vijay Sethupatti had a raw wildness which was unpolished and rough but no matter how much Hritik changes his looks, his features and persona are of a sauve and sophisticated man. That is why he suited in dhoom. He would suit the role of antihero or villain in a movie like Race but here, Vedha is a man born in brought up in the dark lanes and slums. I loved the original so much that even the trailor is difficult to watch. Will give this one a miss.

I always felt HR should have done MADHAVAN'S ROLE instead of VJS ROLE
And SAIF doing the VJS role because I've seen him do kinda similar shade roles in films like OMKARA, RACE etc
