- I'm bringing my 1984 Mitsubishi L300 back to life. I run through what's happening with the van and the major upgrades that are on the way for V2.0 of the build.

Looking foward to the upcoming Video
Looking forward to following the build, I'll guess at a 4M40 L200 engine.
Going to be fun! 🎉
Hell yeah, looking forward to the build. It'll be epic 🙌🏼
I had a 1980 slwb HiAce commuter with Hilux running gear underneath makin it 4x4. Sooo bloody fun to travel in and the amount of smiles people have when the saw it made it even better. Much like what you've most likely have already experienced in your bus and it's only going to bring more joy 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Definitely had this experience the first 10 months on the road. The constant question of "what is it?". I certainly missed that a little when travelling in the Fortuner as it's a conversation starter and you meet somee awesome people by that.
Good to see it coming back 👌
You know it! Gonna be a fun build
Ive got the exact same van in my shed 😊 thank you for letting us know its built on the l200 triton chassis, i was under the impression they were the pajero chasis like the later delicas. It had been doing me head in trying to source parts that fit!
Super excited to watch your progress again!! I have a 92’ mitsi 4x4! Almost sold it last year but just couldn’t bring myself to do it so instead I’m giving it some love 🤙 my dad isn’t a panel beater though so that’s a shame 😂
Just picked up a 1985 model that has been parked up for the last 18 years so my van build begins now too. I'm super keen to see what you do! Also the astron II 2.6L engines fit straight to the gearbox. I swapped one into my rusty L300, they go awesome just not amazing on fuel.
Hey mate I’ve got one as well and we love it
How much did it cost to put a Diesel engine into it?
Hey mate i got the exact same van 1984 4x4 L300 currently doing a ground up restoration , we will have to catch up once the projects are done
Been following you since seeing you on Ronny Dahl’s channel.
So looking forward to seeing the van back on the road.
As your going with the 48 volt set up have you looked at Safiery 48v portable air conditioner.
It’s small, compact, & might just give you a good nights sleep here in Aust 👍👍
I'm very fucking excited for this. I got a 95 Hiace that I'm building out to do the same shit. Fuck yeah.
2.5 TD??? plenty of those around. Pajero, L300, L200 and L400 all had the 2.5TD. They run great and vibration free due to the balance shaft.
2,6 goes well
a 4jj1 would be a nice engine for this. Looking forward to seeing the build. Which roof conversion are you going for?
It would be indeed, but will have to see what’s possible.
Not 100% sure on the roof conversion yet, not a huge amount of options for custom.
Hmm, my guess is a Holden V6. But i can't wait to find out!
thats what mine is getting :)
@@tassieunleashed some may think it sounds silly, but it makes total sense.
What has happened to the Fortuner build Ryan ? That seems to have gone quiet?
I was following that one with interest being a fellow Fortuner owner.
Didn’t have the motivation to film the rest of the build before I hit the road in it for a number of reasons. Spent 3 months on the road in it, but now it’s just the adventure vehicle for now as well as the daily. Can see the complete look over on my instagram
Cool, big fan of mine 😊
4m41 im thinking...
Mitsubishi's greatest Diesel
