You always have great content but this video is far & away the most extraordinary that you've ever produced! I felt like I actually attended the convention. Thank you so much! All the Best! ~ Greg Gordon 🎵
I'm 68 and a harps' been in my kit for the past 60 yrs... my mom played a few tunes and inspired me! Any gendré of music can benefit from a harmonica player!👍🏻
Yes, Roger that, my brother! Thanks for sharing this timecode. Hopefully beginners won't miss it! Great hanging with you again this year. See you in San Antonio. 😎
Absolutely brilliant, you had the best of the best there. Greene and Filisco in the same room LIKE OMG, MAN Thanks so much for that report. SPAH looks truly inspirational. Its a shame we don't have SPAH in the UK !!
@jasonricci Aw thanks, that is very much appreciated, my man. 🙏🏼 It was a labor of love, and it's an honor to hear from you. I was actually just thinking about you cos Shane Sager said you're a big Pat Ramsay fan which I had not known, and I wanted to reach out to you and find out what is your favorite album or recording by him? Can I just ask you here?
@@Harmonicacom Thank you so much Luke. This is a wonderful channel here. On Pat: Absolutely it's called : " It's about Time" circa 1995. Also if you get a chance I have many videos about Pat on my channel here if you're interested in knowing more about him. There's a bunch of instructional ones but one under the category of "Blues Stories" that tells a lot more about Pat as a person.
Thank you sooooo MUCH for creating this AWESOME video of this year's SPAH!! It is the next best thing to actually being there is watching this incredibly enjoyable tour of the event!! Appreciate YOU brother!
I have been concentrating on guitar this year and neglecting my harps. Thanks for this video, which has inspired me to get back to work on my harmonicas. Cheers!
Ohhh great to see some my inspirations..u Mitch.. seeing thse videos started believing i am in wrong place but super inspiration.. wish i cld play a fraction of these....such an environment
Hello. With the microphone you can play the harmonica, without anyone around you hearing what you are playing.using a helmet. It can be practriced in silence. A phenomenal vídeo. Greetings from the canary islands.
So good to meet you bro. I been enjoying your Substack. Great stuff dude!! BTW - I replied to your most recent email from that. Did you receive it? Rock on my man. 😎
Great video. Thanks for sharing what SPAH is like. Hope to get there one day. I went and watched Hayden, from the elevator, this past Thursday night at Betty’s in Nashville.
@@Harmonicacom yes, he is great! I enjoyed watching him play and finally getting to meet him. I posted a couple of videos on TH-cam from the night I saw him. Hayden and I have a mutual friend, Roguie Ray LaMontagne. Also a great blues harmonica player.
Such an honor to meet you sir. As with all great musicians, see you live was mind-blowing. Hope some folks will get to discover you through this vid. Keep up the great work. Thanks for commenting here. 👊🏼🎶😎
Could you do a small tutorial on Zach Williams song Washed Clean? He uses harmonica on first part of song and the ending of song. I've been practicing but can't get the last few notes right. I use a Lee Oskar diatonic harmonica key of C..
I've played for over 60 yrs. I own a few brands. Lee Oskar, Hoener, Seydel, and Suzuki. I favor the Suzuki diatonic Bluesmaster for ease of play and cost. I've never seen most of these brands here.
Hohner should make a diatonic harmonica with 7 limit intonation tuning to get that true authentic sound of Little Walter, Big Walter, Sonny Boy's 1 & 2 and Sonny Terry. At the moment I can't find a harmonica company making a diatonic harp with 7 limit intonation unless it's a custom job.
Interesting!! Joe Filisko always said Just 19 is the sweetest sounding for chords, so that's always been my go to. I wonder what the Crossover is? It might be 7?
Yeah there was a female who was supposed to be performing but for some reason she didn't show. I think Rachelle Plas, Indiara Fair, and Annie Raines are few of the finest players alive.
Going through your beginner lessons for the past few months, but I see a lifetime of harmonica joy ahead of me! Great community!
Nice! Yesssss. Rock on!
thanks, Luke, for all the lessons. it's my first 2 month and I improving each time seeing your videos.

Could you do a tutorial on ole slew foot by Johnny Horton? I've been looking everywhere for a tutorial on the opening riff and having no luck
It was a pleasure meeting you in person at SPAH. Glad you came.
Hmmmm. 🤔 Mr.Spanky? Not connecting the handle with who you are...

Nice . Love it. !🙌🏻
hey, can you maybe teach pink skies by zach bryan? it doesn't sound too difficult, but I can't figure out which notes to play 🥲
Please put your request here: forum.harmonica.com/t/pink-skies/19857?u=luke
When is this event held?
Next year San Antonio Tx August 12-15. Link in info section.
Hello, I want to ask how do I know what key has my harmonica, it's not written anywhere on it.
Play hole 1. Get a piano app. Find the note that sounds the same. That's the key of your harmonica. 👊🏼
Wow thank you so much for putting this on here so I could see it too. And the dyna 🎤 😊dang 🎵what ❤
Right? Amazing!
3:09 Bushman? They still exist !
Luke SA is where I am at. Are u going to the 2025 convention?
Sick. Mos def planning to attend 2025. Hope to see you there!

One of these Years I will go. Have wanted to for Years. My oldest Son is getting Married Sept 21, next Week so Vacation this Year is already used.
You are going to love it. Possibly the best thing you will do for yourself and that beautiful harmonica.

sorta makes me sad that east too felt compelled to steal the name lightning from seydel

Ok I’m down.
Do it!
@@AdamWestUS It’s a matter of saving the money. Then making an ol’truck run good enough to get there. Lol

I’ll pay anyone here 50 dollars to make tabs for “A Song I Can Drink Too” by Koe Wetzle.
Disappointed to see so few females. 2 players, 1 sales rep. Zero featured playing.
