To strain the fuel just get some metsl screen and make a cone out of it and put that inside a funnel. Great find, brother! Thanks. It's 10 pm- but I'm gonna go have a look at mine. Need the tractor to get stuff done !
Thanks for your video. I have a 5045e. Had exactly the same problem. Looked in the owners manual, and mine did not look like that one. After watching your video, i pulled the line and filter. Same problem. Cleaned it about and all good now!!! Thanks.
You d man Rustic. I. Was searching TH-cam for an answer to a loss of power issue with my JD 5055 tractor and watched your video. That was the problem. Thanks. Btw i went ahead and removed the fuel tank screen and installed an inline secondary filter.
Well, looks like I need to repeat this procedure again. Anyone figure out a way to clean out the bottom of the tank? I saw he flushed through a gallon but still got to be a lot of gunk still in there..
I like the detailed explanations and the great camera work. You folks make a great team!
My 5045D had the same issue. I’m pulling my filter tomorrow. Thanks for the video.
Instead of draining tank, use compressed air to blow through filter. Make sure to take lid off tank , so you don't inflate tank.
helped me figure out and fix what was wrong with my 5045e. Thanks for posting!
Awesome! Glad it helped ya out!

Have the same problem. Starts, runs but won’t get up to full rpm. You’re right about the new battery chargers. The old one you have is worth gold.
Wow, I learned something new today. Nice work T & J. 👍♥️ Nice tractors!
Thanks! 🙂 They're pretty fun!
Great video, informative and easy to understand ;) Thumbs up from us
Thanks guys! Hope you had a good summer!
Informative video. Thanks for sharing this. Of course I love it even more because we live in the same state! Lol
Thanks! And yes! Even on the same side, the better side I'd say 😉
Sorta off the topic, but any reason why your wearing your cowboy hat backwards?
LOL because it's Trent.
I couldn’t listen to anything he said. Because his hat was on backwards.

Neg, your hat is backwards. 😂
Coffee Filter inside funnel! Slow but works!
Nice video...my john deere tractor will not start...5203 series...got any more subjections?...
It's getting in there from your storage tank or jugs where you get your fuel from.
If you do again flush a gallon through to clean crap of tank bottom, place a filler screen, good video TY

Right?!
@@RusticSoDakFarm This trick worked btw. runs great. thanks!
@@hindflight Great to hear 👍
Leave that little filter out of it. Let your main filter catch it and drain it when needed.
You hat is backwards been bugging me the whole video
