FYI. The 12% of the gain on the 9700K vs the 6700K is due to the just the extra 500 Mhz frequency. If you OC the 6700K to that, they will be even closer. Both have 8 logical cores(threads), but the 9700K has full physical core power in all 8. The IPC on 6-10gen is totally similar, since they are built on the same architecture. The 7700K is just the better silicon picks from the 6700K batch, and therefore boost clock 200 mhz higher @stock settings. A "lucky pick" 6700K can be clocked as high as the 7700K can.
I have the 6700k and a msi geforce 1080 Is this still good? what should i do to improve performance? I've seen several tests and I don't see that much of a difference
Don't buy it, in cyberpunk, benchmarks are rubbish. As soon as you get into a vehicle or a shootout starts(CPU intensive) the 6700k starts bottlenecking like crazy, that is why I'm on this video, to look for the 9700k. But it is minor upgrade actually... 😢
No. The Z170/Z270 chipset does not support Coffee Lake, even though the socket is the same. Some have modded the board/BIOS to support it, but it does require some more advanced tech work. I would not say it's worth it, unless you can exchange it for very little cost. The 9700K is only a small upgrade over a 6700K (despite what many think), because IPC and tread count is the same, though the 8 core has full core power behind all 8 threads). For best bang for buck upgrade, I would upgrade to AMD AM4 Zen 3 instead (the 6c/12t R5 5600 is stronger than the i7-9700K). The smallest Zen 3 CPU I can recommend as an upgrade, is the 5600 (not the 5500)
6700k, 7700 are a i5 9500 or i3 10100 chip..9700k is much better than i5 9500. i test a i5 9500 with power limits 90watt and i5 9500 is far better than i7 6700
6700K still holding its own after 9+ years of being out. Wow
It was a 4 core beast lol
I still use a 6700k and looking at a 9700k (with mobo and ram) and not sure if i should upgrade... the menu gets so jittery and it stutters loading

Would I be fine for 9700f for 600w psu?

I found a kit with the 6700k at a good price, this video convinced me to buy it
Y que tal? Veo que es muy bueno a la fecha 1080p 60fps

Yeah me too,i get around 80usd
Iam proud to still use this amazing Processor ❤
It runs perfect with 4,5 Ghz
I currently have 6700k, can I go just upgrade it with 9700k?
You have to buy a new motherboard. I think you should just go with AMD or 11th gen Intel rather than 9700k, it's a bit old.
What games do you play?

No games from 2024? Cmen
why is the 7700 at 4.0 ghz?
Why does the 9700k only turbo to 4.7
