  • Jason has been on a good bite with finesse swimbaits on several lakes this year and talks about what he's learned fishing finesse swimbaits for suspending bass with Garmin LiveScope. He spent several days on Table Rock recently and reviewed and shared catches as he explains what he observed and learned and the results of honing this system for suspending bass in relatively clear water.

    Great tips on the speed of retrieve! Those little swimbaits are deadly. I really like the Lunkercity swimmin ribster. The tail is at less of a angle, creates less lift. Awesome vid 👍

      I found it very educational seeing the fish react on screen and then adapting my retrieve and seeing it work over and over again. For me LiveScope has really got me excited about learning fish behavior better again.

      Thanks for watching. It's not too hard. I find LiveScope has just been a good educational tool to learn how I need to change my retrieves to make fish react better.

    so obviously I take what I learn from yuns at W2F & adapt it to my "mostly stuck on shore" fishing.The bite has been super tough RN in WV..& when I'm not crankin I'm swimbait-ing,so the "fleeing baitfish" technique.I love it.what I can take away most is I was wondering why the bite on a 3.8 or 4.3 was all but non-existent.So my presentation was NOT matching the forage size.I notice all your colors were the same-very natural.Have you fished the V&M WildShad yet?just curious.way2go,bud!!you are an efficient angler,Jason.#Wired2Fish#BassFishing#Swimbaits

      Thanks Brian. Yeah I doubt they aren't biting the bait not because of size as much as location and speed. A lot of these fish you had to go right over the top of them and get their attention and then when they would follow speed up. Hard to know when to do that but I always think when I'm fishing a swimbait, that there is afollower about halfway back to the boat and then start changing my speed to see if that will make a follower bite. I haven't thrown the Wildshad yet but hoping to soon.

    Tried these last night, with my 8:1 baitcaster. But I was too slow, i am gonna speed up ! Thanks

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did it work? I know seeing it on the screen really opened my eyes. I've always fished my hard swimbaits really fast. But my soft swimbaits that I fish deep I always just crawl so I was always in a habit to just crawl them. But these suspended fish responded better when you change speed or speed up midway through.

    I try to find info to use from the videos on this channel but 3/4 are all about electronics and technology doing the work and you casting them.
    I understand the amazing opportunity this provides but coming from someone who loves to fish but doesnt even own a boat, it would be nice to get info outside of that.

      Weird. Since most of our video content has been in kayaks lately and fishing shallow. Like 4 of the last 12 videos were electronics videos. We have whole sections of our website dedicated to bank fishing, kayak fishing, tackle tips, etc.

    Good tips knew most of them already but unfortunately the fact of the matter is if you can’t afford these high need electronics you’re at a severe disadvantage:/ I don’t have 6k for pan optics

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no. The LiveScope is providing a lot of education for what fish react to. You can still learn from the retrieves and behavior from others and apply it to just your standard fishing on the places you normally catch them.

    • @Wired2Fish

      And you could have a Livescope system for less than $2500.

    • @Wired2Fish
      @Wired2Fish  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah. As is the case with any electronics, they make a fisherman more efficient. IF you're a good fisherman, they will just make you a lot more efficient and waste less time casting into random non fish holding places.
