My manifold came from a mondeo. The psa lump is used in a lot of cars, several peugeot too.

Yep! The weather at the moment is not great for filming. I don’t mind the dark and cold, but the rain and wind makes it very difficult.

Hi thanks for your really helpful videos, been a great help. With the crank breather hose can I not use the original hose?

Yes, use the original, I just fitted the blue hose for looks

Good morning what size silicone hose was that for the crank case vent ?

22mm ID, but one straight hose will kink. I ended up using two 45’ with a 90’ in the middle. See my VLOG #1 video for more info.

Beavis, can I ask why not use the old inlet manifold, and replace washers etc ? Any specific reason, just thinking when I do my glow plugs. Cheers

It has swirl flaps. Rather than try to remove them before refitting, I opted to buy a 2nd hand flap-free manifold and fit that. I’ll do a separate video on the flaps and their removal very soon.

I reused my old manifold and would, next time, buy a flap-free manifold in advance. There are 2 reasons for this:
      1. It took me a couple of hours of soaking, scrubbing, spraying, washing to clean up the old manifold (I've never blanked my EGR). Would have been nice to have been able to do this in advance so that I could have done a quick swap out.
      2. Contrary to all the comments I have read, I found removing the flaps / control rod a really difficult job - Looking forward to how this goes for Scott in video 5!

It will be shown in a bonus feature video soon. Part 5 will be fuel filter fitting and priming.

Forward thinking, shows how much @beavisPits looks into the job before he does it. Wish I'd done the same when I done mine, but with pair of long nose pliers them flaps came out easy enough. 😁👍
