The Age of Sorcery comes to Conan Exiles, the multi million-selling online survival and crafting
game set in the lands of Conan the Barbarian. Survive in a vast and savage world, build your
kingdom, and dominate your enemies in brutal combat and epic warfare. Develop your character
from surviving Exile into mighty barbarian, corrupted sorcerer, or anything in between.
Sorcery
Become a master of the dark forces of sorcery at the cost of health and stamina. The deeper you draw, the
more corruption you let in, enhancing your powers but visibly withering your body. Perform summoning rituals
to summon demonic and undead followers, vanish from plain sight, and conjure darkness or storms at will.
Sorcery requires preparation and madness in equal measure.
Expanded Perks & Attributes
Character specialization in Age of Sorcery is deeper than ever. Every attribute has been rebalanced and its
effects tweaked. Additionally, players now receive a choice between perks for each attribute, letting them
specialize further. Sorcerers who have become sufficiently corrupted will unlock a special sorcery perk.
Building Overhaul
Building receives a complete overhaul, complete with a new and dedicated interface, massively improving
building for both keyboard and controller players.
Ages arrive in Conan Exiles
The way Conan Exiles expands is changing. Following Age of Sorcery, each Age will continue to have its own
theme, free gameplay updates, and Battle Passes. Ages look to the future, in order to deliver evenly paced
content drops and an easy way for any player to support the game’s growth and receive exclusive themed
cosmetics.
Creative Mode
Directly available through the main menu, Creative Mode allows players to focus on building without material
or movement restrictions. Raise whole cities in no time, and then explore them with friends!

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the arcane curio cabinet nerf. 80% inventory reduction. From 200 slots to a measly 40. That’s less than a large chest while taking up 10x the amount of space. We need to protest this change!!!

I'll admit I'm really excited for the expanded Turanian set. I appreciate they give some love to their DLC and vanilla sets. Hope Stonebrick gets that treatment too. Also, THERE'S A CAMEL!
Most looking forward to the Golems and the future update that'll let them farm by themselves.
on test live i was able to bring a golem to a area full of stone set then to harvest and then tell them to stop following and they kept harvesting till the scouting condition brought them home, or I grabbed another thrall. so if your good on your own you can leave 1 doing something for a while at least. I also really look forward to thralls doing some of the tedious gathering.
Good stuff - I'm loving the changes they make to the journey steps and the armor stands comming, not too into the whole golem thing tho, glad for those who are ofc :)
I am excited about the lotus incense burner golem part. there is a nice variety in the effects. from increased damage, to cleaning bleed and poison effects to a slight increase in stamina regen.
There goes my titled altar lights. I made it look like trying to call in captain planet.
Oh, I can actually play the game at night time now, very nice. Hope they keep this in.
Im looking forward to all the atmosphere changes and of course golems for gathering!
im saddened to hear that there isnt more spells being added, but the golems seem nice....hopefully in the future you can just attach them to a specific box and just have them auto gather within a radius of said box ...
I just really want a level cap increase 😩 at least an extra 20 levels. I know you can do corruption, but I just hate having to respec when building some things
I have to use 2 profiles. One to build other to fight/explore. At least should be some kind of building tree slot. Like Warcraft. So you can change before leaving your base.
@Kairo Montano that wouldn't be bad, have a loadout option, even if you have to use a YLP to activate it. Just to save the time adding the point back time after time

As for new journey steps, I have mixed feelings about that. On one hand, I like it turning into something more than just an exp boost with actual rewards for completion, but I'm not sure about the forcefull completion in implemented order. I'd prefer much more if the list would be open and player could determine order in which the steps are completed.
After completing Survivor, you can do the rest of the Journey steps in whatever order you please, there are just some multi-layered "paths" that have sequenced Journey steps.
@@itskacey8444 Are you sure? It appeared to be made so that new Journey step unlocks only after completing/skipping the previous one
I don't like this feature, what was great about Conan Exile was the fact that you didn't have a sarge shouting at you, telling you to do this do that. Are new player supposed to be children that you need to take by the hand to do everything. I know that sometime it was quite difficult to learn how to do things but it's a SURVIVAL game, you are supposed to get your thumbs out of your ass and work it out not just follow a guide for idiots!
@Mausolus the Heretic yes I'm sure I've been on testlive extensively trying all the new stuff out. I know that's how they made it sound on the dev stream, but not in practice.
@Kukipett Kelbozob the new Journey steps are a godsend for new and old players alike. New players who want to compete on PVP servers can't be messing around with every miniscule mechanic trying to figure the basics out. Right now, they have to search through hundreds of TH-cam vids to find relevant information every step of the way.
With this, they get relevant information precisely when they wish to.
For old players, Journey steps regain relevance because of the added rewards, which can boost early game progress or increase endgame power.
Thank you for the video. Very informative and helpful. The transition of the numbers voice was very grating, though. It's a shame about losing the beam. Hopefully, modders will fix this
Any tips on WHERE to find the new Blood Crystal creatures ? If they pop as much as events it's gonna take a while to gather enough Blood Crystals...
I like the shrines' light beams but i wish it was togglble instead of them just taking them away, I know it can cause lag tho.

I used to play this game on ps4 and had all the DLC:s I never finished the game because it acted like Fallout new vegas on ps3. But atleast one could complete the story of Fallout new Vegas before the memory related crashes started. Now I thought about buying it on PC because I have friends who might be interested and I must say I am very disappointed what I've heard. They have still not fixed the game and added a micro transaction store that operates illegally due to having false discount prices. Wtf.

Absolutely hate not being able to see how far down it is from a cliff when hopping off, grabbing onto the side, and the whole world going pitch black because my torch got put away. =)
Pull out your torch before you jump. Then each time you let go you get a tiny window when it lights up... O just run around with a glimmermoon\etc as it'll light up when when on your back.
The first journey step for survival.. finding the smoke.. has anyone actually found this!? I can't seem to find any billowing smoke on the south side of the desert to be able to complete the step. Unless it's talking about the starting beach riiiight at the beginning?!
There are new caravans right at the broken highway where you first start.
Near the begining you need to find broken caravans in the desert if it doesn't trigger change your active journey and activate it again. Also turn of creative mode. The triggers to some steps sometimes doesn't work properly and you need to try several times.
"Nights are brighter with a solar eclipse" Solar eclipses happen during the day. I'm confused.

Number 5 you keep saying it's "brighter at night" but doesn't the solar eclipse happen during the day?
Not only that, but when and how often will an eclipse take place?
It sounds like when chapter 3 drops a solar eclipse will happen and ?stay? For an extended time as if the Sun and Moon stop moving?
The solar eclipse confuses me, how does it take place in a game where a day is only like 40ish min long.
From my understanding the eclipse replaces the night cycle. So instead of it going from day to night it goes day to eclipse
@@yorukage5926 Ok thanx, that's odd but kind of cool to see. Do you know how long the eclipses last (Last as in just for the week of the chap3 launch or permanent ) or if it'll be able to be turned off in server settings I would hate for it to be permanent?

Where is the new dungeon at on the isle of siptah?
Will the bazaar items I have already gotten show up in testlive? Will I be able to build with the new storm glass pieces?
How do you do the encounter challenge on exiled lands. I looked it up and all it said was to pretty much do a boss or witch fight,I did both and it didn't clear the challenge. The one u made a video of was on isle of siptah. Is that the only map u can do that challenge on?
I just heard in another video (pixelcave?) that the encounters are currently on hold but no reasons were given, unfortunately.

Right now events aren't spawning. But for the surge boss challenge I think the sorcerers you kill in the new dungeon count for the challenge.
Re the beams of light from the shrines most probably a PVP related thing you could not craft one without announcing to the world hay here's my base location.
It's an icon on the map. PVP players notice a new icon immediately and if the location is not know to be that of a friendly base
oob mucking around then it's battlestations and multiple clans will arrive at the location within minutes. A t3 later that just pops up unexpected nearly 100% of the time indicates an intention to use it. Any bubbles that were not up will come up 30 mins later as chances are the alter still need 1 hour for true name crafting
Organised clans will bring the t3 online around 5pm for deployment right after 6pm by farming up the 575 zeal while it's still a t2 alter,
The light beam doesn't really do anything except look pretty and doesn't even render in to around the point at which the base does anyway.
@@nathanielacton3768 Light beams are critical in PVP to locate a t3 alter inside a base, so that you can blow in directly towards it instead of messing around trying to find where it's hidden in the layers of defences.

@@itskacey8444 wouldn't matter as soon as I see the icon on the map I would have to come to see if you are friendly or a threat. it lets everyone know you are an advanced clan so you become target regardless.

The Isle Of Siptah journey has the challenge of building the delving bench bugged making it impossible to unlock, it's gonna be fixed in the next update?
The Journey steps will be completely revamped.
ironically, we need age of warriors before age of sorcery. combat pace, collisions and hitboxes are still garbage.
Are we gonna have to start a new game when it launches ?
I went to find out what happened because I saw my conan had a 41GB update this cool
I'm more concerned about cosmetics, emotes, skins, etc. Characteristics that changes you and your followers. New designs for buildings. I'm tired of sandstone, stonebrick, wood. Should be more thematic construction without buying DLCs. Skins for pets, like spotted, stripped, rough fur, soft fur, scales, armors, horns, etc.
I know I'm just dreaming, but...
If you want cosmetics you gotta spend money. That's how every online game does cosmetics.
@Noxti! right... so, League of Legends, Dota 2, Apex Legends, WoW, Fortnite, Path of Exile, Hunt Showdown, Call of Duty, Overwatch, etc. etc. are all predatory games.
I am very disappointed that players will lose their Shrine beams. It is a status symbol to some and decorative to others. SAVE THE SHRINE BEAMS. The special events can use other sky effects like the mini-portals Siptah had at launch. Something/anything...but let the players keep their shrine beams.
The shrine beams are an enormous source of lag.
@@Monkeypuzzle Torches and foundation probably cause more lag than shrine beams.
Less light effects less lag in the game
You obviously don't play PvP then. To us it's a blessing. EFF yo light show.

Hi Wak, what type of thrall will you need for the golem bench, and where can they be found?
from the short time I spent on the test live it doesn't appear that either of the golem benches has space for a thrall. it would be nice if we could put a sorcerer there to reduce to cost of creating golem parts and perhaps the named ones could unlock a recipe to turn like corrupted stone, crystal and sacrificial blood into bloodstone.
I also want to see the sorcery pouches moved to the thaumaturgy bench, there is enough on the alchemy bench as it is.
@Valwen Ventureco the golem assembly bench has a spot but so far I haven't been able to find one that will go there

Chapter 2 was suppose to introduce new encounter type. This was advertised by FUNCOM as one of new features of Chapter 2 (th-cam.com/video/TNXnFkKM-JE/w-d-xo.html). Not only this new encounter isn't spawning, but previous ones, from Chapter 1, have also stopped spawning (although they kinda worked OK in Chapter 1) - because FUNCOM just turned off events completely (yes, all of them, not just the bugged one, even in single player games). Yep, you heard it right - something that was advertised as a feature is in fact not available in-game under laughable pretense "it was bugged". Well, it wasn't "bugged" when they promised it in their Chapter 2 promos, but guess what - one week into the Chapter - and it declared "bugged" and taken out. And it hasn't been fixed in all 3 months long chapter time span. You better be prepared there is a real possibility Golems will also be taken out few weeks into Chapter 3 🤣

I dont even see those rocknoses or the golems in the test version. They like dont exist
the Golems tend to spawn at the Volcano, and the Bloodstone Rocknoses can spawn in most places that a Rocknose normally spawns

So what is the purpose of the eclipse on Siptah if there is no dungeon or you can go into the dungeon even though there is no eclipse. Also if Kurak brought sorcery to both the Exile Lands and Siptah why only fight him in the Exile Lands,yes I already saw the dungeon because of Kiah and to be honest is quite underwhelming. Was hoping it would be like the warmaker or wine cellar dungeon.
So no Boss Dungeon on Siptah?
Siptah is still a really new map all things considered exiles has have no love in forever
