I am learning hindustani vocal in the US. i have been learning for the past 7 years. we only have classes once a week. we are given all written notations so that we can practice at home and we record our classes on our smart phones so that we can practice at home.

Didi, ek word hai, jise high pitch ya low pitch pr bhi gane pr naak se aawaaz aane lagti h, ek terah se kah skte hain ki bahut mushkil feel hota hai. Aur agr pitch kam krta hun to scale bigad jata h. Wo words hai- "karte hain"
I use an app called Harmonium app for practicing the scales. For me the problem of singing live in front of audience vs recording on my app ( I use Smule) is exactly the opposite. I sound better on the phone app. Maybe the sound system is not managed properly at the events where I sing. Thanks for opening such a beneficial channel for singers that are learning. I have subscribed in the past to Siddharth Slathia ( back in 2015) and Mayur (2018) and now your channel.

I use an app called Harmonium app for practicing the scales. For me the problem of singing live in front of audience vs recording on my app ( I use Smule) is exactly the opposite. I sound better on the phone app. Maybe the sound system is not managed properly at the events where I sing.
