  • Join us as we prepare our bee hives for the arrival of Hurricane Helene. With our hives secured on steel frames, we take extra precautions to protect them from the storm. After our experience with Hurricane Debby, we’ve added large timbers to the bottom of each frame for additional weight and use nylon straps to keep the hives firmly in place. Watch our step-by-step process of safeguarding the bees against high winds and heavy weather, ensuring their safety throughout the storm.

I hope the hurricane passes you without any issues and I hope you and the bees remain safe. Driving in the bee suits looked funny

The weather has been pretty strange around here but fortunately we rarely see that kind of weather. Stay safe out there!

We are all safe! The storm passed us around 2am. The wind had gusts of 95mph, with a constant of 30 to 50mph.
