Fantastic return! Amazing bump on the Koufax. Mantle and Yaz also got really great grades. I love the Caitlin Clark cards; I think I may need to get one for my collection. I enjoyed the video; I just subbed the channel!

Awesome video Ryan! I love your enthusiasm, I felt like I was sitting there with you while you did the reveal. I’m glad you got a 6.5 on the Koufax and 7 on the Mantle, those are both beautiful cards!
I just recently bought a 1965 Topps Hank Aaron in a PSA 6. I’m going to experiment by sending it to SGC in its PSA slab to see if they’ll cross it over to at least a SGC 6.5. If they don’t agree they’ll send it back in its PSA slab and I’ll just sell the card. Fingers crossed.

That is awesome about the Aaron. Would love to see it when you get it back. Did not know you could keep them in the case and send them in liike that. Good to know my friend. Hope all is well with you. Thank you and take care.

@@RYANKBPRODUCTIONS I didn’t know SGC would crossover cards either until recently. On the order form, you can select “crossover” for a card and select the minimum grade you’re willing to accept for a crossover. They’ll crack it for you.
I’ve seen several TH-camrs that have had success doing this. Generally (but not always), SGC will give a PSA graded card a half grade bump (a PSA 6 to SGC 6.5 for example).
I would never try crossing over a SGC graded card with PSA though. I’ve heard most of the time the card goes down in grade.
Hope you have a great weekend my friend!

@@southern7002x Thank you for the info kind sir! I may have to try that then. Maybe I can do a video on that sometime. I have some cards that I may be cracking soon. Only thing is I want them in the SGC no mater the grade really though on this particular set of cards. I appreciate you very much my friend and hope you are doing well. Take care of yourself.

your thought and the rationale provided in the cracking video was dead on. it didn't look like a '5' to me, so good for you, brother. 6.5 seems more appropriate. I'm of the opinion that there certain cards should be sent w/ other certain cards. there is a technique for overall presentation, too. I think they might grade in the order in which you enter them on the invoice so that is something that could be taken into consideration, too. I had a high eye appeal card as the card on top that (fairly enough) could only get a 7 because of some edging issues on a colored bottom. I think that after the grader saw that, they might have had the idea that he/she was looking at a submission of really nice cards and overall I did better than I expected.

@@sisterraysbrother Thank you very much. I really appreciate you. I believe you’re right with the high eye appeal card at the top setting the correct tone. When I sent the Sandy in the first go around it had nothing but bad tone setting it up. Unless they use robots to start grading some human emotion is definitely at play. Thank you again. Take care!

Congrats on the more appropriate grades! Question… when you re-submitted the Koufax, did you send it back in the 5 slab, or did you crack it out first? I just got hosed by SGC on a bunch of my best cards, so am hoping you can walk me through the appeal process. Hope to hear back and congrats again!

@@markstein1916 Thank you for watching and commenting. I cracked the case and sent it in like it was a different card. Check out my other video cracking cases. I am not aware of an appeal process. I believe it is what it is. I was just surprised how low the Sandy got so I wanted to experiment and see if I treated it like a new submission and hopefully got someone else that it would do better and I was fortunate and it did do better. Really appreciate you! Take care!

The difference between a 9.5 and 10 is purely opinion. Depends on the grader and the day. It makes me sad that people put so much stock in half point of a grade assigned to a card by someone who spent 90 seconds looking at it. Do you like the card or not and why in the world does it matter if someone else says it’s a 9.5 or a 10? It’s just gone way too overboard.
