Thanks for the comment, not sure how the manufacturers can make something so simple seem like rocket science 🤣 Cheers! Dan DPJ Plumbing Heating and Gas
Hello, we’ve had the same message on our boiler appear - we don’t have the blue keyless filling loop and instead have what looks like a braid hose type filling loop, which is not attached to anything (boiler installed October 23’ without filling loop attached) What do we do please? Thank you
th-cam.com/video/YbrFCcpyoZs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lzpteV1qwiyiBrLj This is a link to one of my other videos with some details of how to fill up your heating system with a braided hose type filling loop. Hope it helps. Let me know if it does or doesn't Cheers, Dan
Hi, Mine doesn’t have a blue lever but in stead has a white squarish piece held in place by something that looks very similar to a paperclip. No braided hoses or anything obviously adjustable. Any advice appreciated 👍
Yes, that white square turns to allow water through. But it needs a white "key" inserting first. Most people leave that in permanently. I think I have a video of that type of filling loop. I'll see if I can find it for you.
@jonjo6tie I've managed to upload a video. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/pHTOqf5oXi8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZRwy8Zv8J304K1ru Does that help? Cheers, Dan DPJ Plumbing Heating and Gas
If it's not got the filling loop directly under the boiler then I'd say you do have a braided hose type. But they can be put in weird locations. Are there any cupboards under the boiler or voids where the pipes run into? Sometimes an old airing cupboard? It's difficult for me to advise really as every installation can be different and installers will sometimes do weird things to make their life easier
I'm pretty sure the supplier of the boiler has to pay extra for the blue levee filling loop, which means that sometimes a standard braided hose type filling loop is put onto the heating system. The link below is to another one of my videos, showing how to use a braided hose type filling loop th-cam.com/video/YbrFCcpyoZs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lzpteV1qwiyiBrLj Hope it helps, let me know if it does/doesn't Cheers, Dan
I think with Worcester boilers it's a paid extra to have that type of filling loop. You might have the standard braided hose type filling loop. It's difficult for me to advise without seeing your boiler/heating system.
It's difficult to give you an a reason why without seeing it myself but here are some reasons why: 1. The blue filling loop is stuck closed. Try pulling it up and down a few times to get it to loosen up 2. Your water pressure isn't quite powerful enough to fill it up quick enough: you might need to hold it open for a while to see the pressure increase 3. Faulty pressure gauge 4. Faulty filling loop These are some of the problems that can occur. Hope that helps Dan DPJ Plumbing Heating and Gas
It might need freeing up a little bit of it's sticking. Try pulling it up and down a few times. It could also be that your water has a low pressure and it just takes it a little longer to and quieter to full your heating system. So hold it down and wait to see if the pressure rises.
Ah much appreciated, fixed the issue I had right up.
Though getting that bloody lower cover back on was a juggling act!
Yes, the cover can be a bit of a pain.
Thanks for leaving a comment, glad I could help you out!
Thank you! I’d had a look at the manual and was flummoxed. This was so simple.

I’ve turned the tap symbol to off should it be on ?
Off the top of my head, if the tap symbol has been set to off, you'll have no hot water as it will be off
@ I’ve put it back on but still no sound is coming from pulling the blue lever down or my gage isn’t moving 😭 just wished I knew what to do
Thank you 😊
