I’ve watched all of your videos and have so many questions. Any chance of you making a video where your walking us through your process? These videos are amazing and incredibly intriguing!
@@scotthendricks79 I'm more just curious about the finer points of his methods and materials. Not really trying to do this myself. Just fascinated is all
What is the grey lumpy substance you put on the back of the sign. It doesn't resemble hide glue. Is that an acid. May I know the product so as to use myself. Thankyou. Wonderful demonstration 👍
the pattern left by the acid on the glass is mental, love how it looks like a leafy background but is in fact just the way the acid bites into the material and leaves this leafy effect :) i wonder if the way it is applied has any effect on the overall finished look ?
Hello, beautiful work, congratulations Is there any chance for information about the paste you are etching with the glass (in the video inside the letters)? It is probably HF in a small concentration with micca, but if you have a recipe for something safer, I would be very grateful for a hint. Regards, Szyldziarz
Hi, love watching your videos. Was wondering if you have a tutorial on how to make the designs off the computer then transfer to vinyl? I was always interested in this, but had no idea where to start. Thank you and looking forward to your future vids.
Hey :) the designs are usually made as vector files and then cut with a vinyl cutter. I did work a similar job as they do but not quite as majestic as the work they deliver.
ppl always ask how much these are. by going to their website and converting yen into u.s. dollars, i'd venture to guess they'd charge upwards of about $6000 for this one based on the few examples for sale (no doubt most of their work is commissioned). it could be more for all i honestly know, but that's a general ballpark if you're curious. if you were thinking like $500, you would be... significantly off, lol.
The glue chipping phase fascinates me. How cool is that?! Such beautiful work. Simply inspiring.
Quite proud to see a french Pierre d'Argile involved in this amazing process !… Cheers from Marseille France

you mean the glue chipping process? it's hide glue that literally pulls the glass off.
