Super video ! Well explained for the basics. Hope we can get also a video with the dualizer weapon/armor. It gives me headache to understand how to forge properly
Yeah reading the other comments I can understand the reason behind this, but basic being every thing the tutorial throes at you at the very start seemed off. I dunno was expecting at least how to use the green and red aura that is only explained through texts. How exploiting every weakness in the same combo fills your cc gauge, for example you explained dodging but never mentioned that you can dodge into a projectile and it gives a bunch of cc etc...
I do have a question cause ive been wracking my brain to figure it all out. How exactly does the elith gauge fill? Sometimes the gauge fills rapidly for me and sometimes rapidly for the enemies even if I'm blocking or dodging.
Unpopular opinion, I’m not really huge on this game like most people for different reasons but the combat is not one of them, so I appreciate you making this video because first time playing this on the ps3 I had no clue how the battle system worked because I only played Abyss and Vesperia at the time.
Agreed. The combat is good but not my cup of tea. I am glad that this remaster is high quality based on the reviews I've seen. After the Symphonia remaster I was a little concerned about future releases.
Thanks for explaining the combat system. But I'm afraid I will never fall in love with a Tales-game. I've already played Zestiria, Berseria, Vesperia amd Arise, but in all of these games the combat felt "wrong"....they didn't feel good for me. It was ok and I finished most of the games. But I never reached a point when I felt comfortable with the combats.
But....is it fast pace? Turn base? Auto generated? What? At one moment u said u ddnt touch the controller while he was fighting so i m completely lost.😅
Tales games are all action rpgs, therefore real time combat. when he said he didnt touch the controller, he's showing off Auto mode, where AI takes over and you dont have to do anything
@AbyssalDaybreak oooh!! Got it! Thanks!👍 I was afraid it might be all auto. So wait, does that mean that tales of vesperia, reverie or daybreak 1 n soon 2 are all fast pace combat then?? 😲
@@squarestar326 You mixing up the Tales series with the Trails series. Tales is real time, Trails is turn based. Also Vesperia is a bit slower than Graces as it uses the older combat system.

What a great video thanks dude
I’m interested in a future combat video. I’d like you to focus on perfect dodges, when to avoid horizontal and vertical attacks to get that bonus CC.
I was honestly waiting for some thing more in depth, It took you 22 mins to explain everything the games forces into you with tutorials.
I agree with you, but the title does say basics. Basics refers to the utter basics such as the tutorial stuff.
@@Yurimeitzen Hence why I'm asking for feedback into what more advanced mechanics people want to know about.

Ugghhh... I was actually waiting for this before buying the game...thank you so much..
Thank you for uploading and explaining the combat let's make it a series
