    I would've canceled on her with the say my name thing right off the bat. I also drive uber and as soon as I get a who are you picking up I cancel, and if I get rudeness from a passenger before they get in the car or after they get in the car I will cancel and kick them out rudely, I treat people how they treat me end of story.

    If they refuse to give you their name after asking nicely twice, I would give her the wrong name and leave. Cancel trip. Next! As far as the suitcase goes, I would tell her for your own safety, you can not. No further explanation is needed. Smile, get in the car and drive away with the case in the middle of the street. Resist honking or waving goodbye. Don't stoop to her level. Next! 🤭💛

    Yeah absolutely no way she'd gotten in my car! Woman or not, passengers need to identify themselves not the other way around. Granted it's uber and lyft fault for empowering these entitled weirdos while not actually caring enough to prote t the drivers but passengers have 7 identifiers to know about us and our vehicle, meanwhile we are playing Russian roulette everytime we pick someone up. If you are that nervous go get you a vehicle, call your personal friends or walk 🤷🏾

The other thing is, she could accuse you of not handling something properly or breaking it. And NEVER enter a residence. She could also accuse you of inappropriate behavior. There are no cameras to protect you. Stay within the boundaries of your dash cam and look out for yourself!

    OMG I hate riders like her. They feel so entitled. I hope she needs to know as a driver we need to feel safe as well and they should be the ones telling us who they are not the other way around. If a driver picks up a random by giving the name first it's an easy way of someone just complying it's their ride instead of providing evidence. If not use a PIN and you can eradicate that initial conversation. It's there responsibility to check the plates for the correct vehicle not the other way around.

    These folks act like they are paying for limo services when in reality we might make $11-13. 😂 I dont waste time on these fools no more. I have noticed when they get all hesistent answering my questions or are taking their time at pick up if you slowly let go of the break and let the car roll a lil bit they answer a lil bit quicker or come running out the house a little bit sooner.

    I had a very similar entitled spoiled brad expecting me to carry her very heavy and ultra large suitcase to the second floor.
    I refused. She gave me a one star rating and complained in comments about “poor service.”
    Unless they pay me $20 upfront, I am not carrying anyone’s suitcase.

    I drove Uber for 4.5 years and over 11k trips, mostly with multiple riders...
    Never once did anyone ask me to handle their luggage beyond in/out of my trunk, I would have refused.
    Rideshare 'legal slavery' just doesn't pay enough for what some of these unimaginably entitled riders expect and demand.
    I would have kicked her to the curb at Hello with that attitude.
    By some miracle, I managed to maintain a 4.8 rating.

    1. it says "she left her stuff where she was standing" - thats because you offered yourself. you said "i got it, have a seat 1:02 " and exited the car to take the stuff.
    2. secondly, you were appologizing from the start for something which you didnt do. so she got a feeling her name is Karen. you have to let them know what is their right, and your right.
    all that said, she was a mean person, and took advantage of your nice, couteous gentleman attitude .

    NEVER say your own name or the riders name; doing so leaves you open to scammers to say "oh yeah, im that person" / "oh yes, you're my driver"
    you ALWAYS FORCE them to politely state who they are
    MY CAR, MY RULES rider safety is not my problem until they are in my car, MY SAFETY COMES FIRST

      Wow she gave you a bad rating and no tip. This is why if a customer gives me any attitude before I start the trip, I'll cancel and drive off before I let you ding me. When she didn't want to tell you her name, I already knew you were getting a bad rating. The $15-$20 is not even worth it, cancel her and pick someone else up.

    Aw hell no. How many red flags can you jam into 3 minutes? Playing the "say my name" game? I've cancelled plenty just for that. Expecting me to be her personal skyhop (at pickup) with her luggage without even making a token gesture? Not a cancellable offense, but a drain on any existing patience. Proceeding to lecture me about "safety" after the ride has started? That's a pull over and end the ride right there. If you have an issue with your "safety" you can tell your NEXT driver all about it. Taking her luggage up the stairs? Unless she offered a $20 bill in advance, that's a HELL no. Take it out of your trunk, set it on the ground, end the ride and driver away. Immediately rate her 1 star & file a report that rider was rude.

    Nothing compares to seating waiting for a ride at the airport for 6 hours and only getting one bad offer. Why would this happen you may ask? Because I declined many bad trips on the last day I worked so now I am being penalized because of it. If drivers don't get together then things will never improve.     If the riders won't give you their name, then cancel on them. Often times they have no picture, they use guest riders with a different name, but don't properly indicate it's a guest rider, which often has a different gender name. They often don't even have their phone location on, and in a place like an airport, there could be many pick up spots and they don't pay attention to which spot they selected for pick up. If you explain you are the driver, at the location indicated and they are at a different spot, sometimes they apologize and you can work it out. With the rude ones who insist you as the driver are in the wrong spot, I recommend just running the clock and getting your cancellation fee instead of cancelling and arguing on the phone or trying to text further.
