You should also try the mini pau at the end of the other corner. Their Kong Ba Pau is very nice and less fatty. And the morning bee hoon and nasi lemak next to the muffin stall is very economical and nice too.
The Yong Tau Foo at the coffeeshop opposite the market (near the carpark entrance) is really good too! And also Creamier ice cream across the road where the newer HDB flats are is a must try!

Recently I tried that carrot cake stall. It's totally not at all crispy. I don't know what's the hype about that stall really. Glad that you came to the same conclusion that it's not worth waiting for.
Honestly speaking; the carrot cake’s standards have dropped! It is getting more oily now as compared to the early days. I have lived in Toa Payoh for many many years and I know. Their attitude is turning bad too. Rather arrogant now.

1. 天天来,你是幸运和青山都是排队很久的。
2.青山, 就是要吃辣的。我有时熬夜,或者早起会下楼叫内用。
3. 其实你们拍的桌子那里的云吞面也很好吃。
4. Uggli, 其实老板以前是做煮炒的。但是后来专做Muffin。听说他的妈妈要求不能换招牌,所以就沿用至今。
5. 擂茶,我还是比较喜欢直接把茶汤倒进饭里一起吃。
6. 潮州包子,虽然有点小贵但是还是很好吃的。糯米鸡,饭菜,烧卖,叉烧包,扣肉包。
7. 油炸鬼,有卖比较特别的香蕉包和糯米包。
楼下的咖啡店也蛮多新奇的东西吃。值得再来拍片。

其實新加坡的食物除了一些比較出名的,其他平均水準其實不太好吃
還是有些hidden gem啦
新加坡很慘,到處很多起價,用雜料假料替代,份量變小很多。每天出門,看價錢跳50%,付了錢,收到食物,突然感覺拿到羽毛那麼輕。又麵食來了,定睛一看,雲吞小了一半,肉片小了一半。又炒過條來了,找不到獅酣,最後找到2粒baby迷你獅酣。政府沒興趣幫人民,幾百萬薪水新幣。在新加坡沒人敢講。
