That was an honor to listen to Chief Jonas share his story. Thank you Kevin, Lou, and Pete for having him as a guest. I wish the Woke/ cancel culture would take the time and listen to the Stories told on this show . Maybe they would understand what courage, Integrity, and just plan guts it takes to Be a Firefighter, Police officer , and EMT/ Paramedic . And what they do for complete strangers at the risk of their own life. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!🇺🇲🇺🇲

I was a member of Ladder 5 my group were working with Mike Warchola that day I had retired just months before 9/11/2001 . Greg Saucedo RIP took over my group number his body was never found. Not a day goes by when I don't think about them and think how lucky I am to be alive. I was at the trade center 9/12/2001 and stood in stairway B where Jay Jonas and the survivors stood. RIP HERO'S YOUR NEVER FORGOTTEN. Thank you Jay Jonas for your story. God Bless and God Bless America. Thank you Chief Jonas for your service..

West Point fireman from 1986-2003! Started on the "gypsy shift" at Camp Buckner. Met Chief Jonas my rookie summer when he was a Lt in FDNY and visiting. Super nice man. That chinning bar was still there. 😉

One of the best moments was when Chief Jonas told this cocky LID FF to take off his backwards yankees cap and start having some respect for the job in which he was lucky to be on. A man of honor and true dedication.

I’m from Baltimore and yes I have a beef. But let us remember WWII. When the late queen was a motor pool mechanic fixing ambulances. That’s why the flags were lowered. Because together with them we beat Tojo and Hitler.

Perhaps his knowledge of history would be great to do shows based on LODD. What the situation was, what was learned and what was changed as a result. Like he mentioned LT lerner from L6, that fire brought about several policies. You could probably do 2-3 a show with him. I think he wrote a wnyf article about john mckenna about 7 years ago that happened in the early 80’s up in the heights
