I live in Vancouver...very boring city. People pretend to be friendly but don't really want to be your friend. I am an artist and there is no art...no culture no entertainment and a lot of small town mantality...I regret wasting my time there.
Yes, same. Came here in high school, still here 10 years later in my mid 20s. Need to get my education through, but I am leaving as fast as I can. Can't make any friends, no social or romantic life. It's starting to sting seeing people I know in other provinces/countries getting married, starting families while I'm stuck as a hermit here.
Born and bred west coaster here - but I've lived in other places and can say that Vancouver really lacks a strong sense of community and social cohesion (which is tied in with multiple factors). This really impacts all areas of civic life. The arts scene, like you mentioned, is very structured and narrow. Homes and neighborhoods are often extremely bland-looking, with minimal 'fun' built into public and private spaces.
Boring because majority of the populants are often depressed... How can one be happy if you are busting 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet.... People there are exhausted and tired.
Toronto is same expensive as Vancouver but their club and art districts are amazing! I think city of Vancouver just simply don't have budget to build districts like Toronto did.
Toronto is a million times more fun than Vancouver when it comes to nightclubs. It doesn't matter how expensive it is. Just think of NYC or Miami. Expensive but fun!!!!
Honestly, you can make fun anywhere which I believe in but after I visited LA for few days I realized the city events and culture matters a lot to make your life interesting
if you're young and ambitious, have that I'm trying to live my life to the fullest attitude, then yea Vancouver is like the abyss. that's where I'm at leaving early next year. I rather struggle and fail till I find my footing but feel like I can be in a place where I'm surrounded by an infrastructure that promotes creativity in a real sense. Plus it don't help now that the cost of living is so unbearable, I really don't fancy churning out the big bucks to live in a retirement city when I'm in my 20s
The good thing about it's boringness is that it's incredibly safe. The crazy ppl are way more polite and less confrontational than the ones in Toronto. But I still moved to Toronto after growing up in Van. I think raising a child in Van would be easier because you don't really have to worry about school stabbings etc. But Toronto in your early 20s is incredibly fun.
Nightclub are lame in Vancouver. I travel to japan and the club vibes are warp speed ahead of what we have here. Alas night life isn’t everything and having my own family those days I am happy to leave behind. I am struggling to find some wholesome indoor family fun especially during the post Christmas Jan and Feb. anyway the pleasure of Vancouver living always come back with spring.
bro there are countless cities around the WORLD lightyears ahead in its nightlife scene. If you're young and traveled its so obvious. Vancouver is slow and lame
Yeah I've heard this many times. When I visited tho, the bar scene around gastown and main street seemed okay, not great but not quite as bad as expected. Is there any live music scene at all??
Vancouvers awesome if youre a foreign student with millionaire parents in asia/india Latin america. Its a transient city with no real culture since it has all been wiped out and they displaced all the locals
I have to apologize but I absolutely cannot resist the urge to be an grammar Nazi here. “Coined” is past tense, so something cannot be “oftentimes coined”. You could say “has been coined”.

I know exactly how you feel. I came 10 years ago from France and I regret wasting my 20s in Vancouver. Also, don't get me started on the weather...

@@VideoWholesale hey no worries I am well in my years and making true friends always a challenge ...I hope you find your life once you leave...peace
They are friendly but not interested in making friends
That's the right word, they "pretend" to be friendly..

Vancouver is the “no fun city “

Montreal is the best nightlife in Canada. Compared to Montreal, Canada is BORING in terms nightlife.
Yeah I've heard this many times. When I visited tho, the bar scene around gastown and main street seemed okay, not great but not quite as bad as expected. Is there any live music scene at all??
Yeah I've attended a lot of concerts here pre-pandemic! There's a few bars here and there with live bands as well. Definitely not too bad!
@@jessdelight okay thankk that's good to know. I'm considering the move from England and that was my main worry 😂
Think twice of that. England has much more fun to offer even if it’s small town in rural area
@@andrewrozhen513 did you move there from England?
Montreal and Toronto are only two cities not boring, but too expensive in Toronto.
Montreal is essentially not even a CANADIAN type city that's why. It's got Parsian influences written all over it.
Sad but true lacking culture entertainment......should I say more
I LOVE boring.
Vancouvers awesome if youre a foreign student with millionaire parents in asia/india
Latin america.
Its a transient city with no real culture since it has all been wiped out and they displaced all the locals
you mean the politicians that citizens elected enacted policies thats good for outsiders and bad for locals
The only good thing about BC is the ocean and the scenery and everything else SUCKS
Destiny 2 is underrated. Very very fun game. Lot of content too. Expansions are a bit pricey but worth it.
lol, what
NO FUN CITY NO FUN CITY EVERYTHING SHITTY HERE IN NO FUN CITY
i 100% agree
Totally agree
RAINCOUVER
awesome video your speaking the truth
Please enumerate the culture/music events that do exist here, if you know about them. I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Ooh yes I'll come up with a list! 😊
Canada is tender boring zzzz
Agree!
I guess Calgary is where it's at yeehaw 🤠

no its so boring and it sucks

if it wasn't for the strip clubs and the restaurants (even though mawphukaz live in luxury appartments) ... people would commit suicide lolll
Night clubs and bars are over rated. There are more reasons not to go to them than there are to go.
Especially nowadays.
@@experiencedoptimist6548 What's it like now?! I haven't been in one in probably a decade lol
@@williamgrand9724 Same here. The glory days for nightclubs are long gone. Social media and corporatization of nightlife killed everything.
I've made the same observations about Toronto. I think it's just a feature of WASP Anglo-Canada. Snooze.
I lived in Ottawa for 3 years and it was honestly this..’WASP’y’ People are just lifeless. I imagine it’s the same in Vancouver, lifeless sad people 😅
Vancouver, Quebec and Toronto !!!! All boring 😴
how is toronto boring?
Sorry but southern Ontario is far from being boring
Montreal and Quebec is far from boring.
I think Canada in general has no night life. Makes no sense to me. 0 concerts, 0 clubs, 0 raves, 0 nothing
Nightclubs? Oh no Rich men and wannabe's will have nowhere to pick up easy 18-22 year old girls. What a loss /s
