Ive been playing this since it was the very angry prickle barb build and have had so much fun with it. Ive played frenzy since d2 and this is the first build that felt like a really frenzy barb in d4

After getting a Battle Trance I started working on a build on my own and came to a lot of the same conclusions.
One place where my tinkering has led somewhere different is I just accepted not getting the last part of the Zerker Ultimate so that I didn't need any kind of fury spender. Just using it as another generic Berserking starter and an alternate unstoppable. Kind of like just running it as backup copies of War Cry and Rallying Cry. In place of Kick, I am instead running Lunge for an additional Berserking source, and to enable Earthstriker overpowers similar to what the HoTA builds are doing but opting for incredibly rapid smaller overpowers rather than the one big overpowers on HoTA's. Still plenty big, just not multimillions big. Also currently gave up Rama's so I could run dual maces (and 2 hand bludgeon on Lunge) with Concussion for stun procs. Also running Hemomancy for another AoE element.
I love where Barbs are at this season with so many options viable.
This is almost exactly the build I’m playing right now. I’m just bit using thorns. It looks pretty cool though!! Having Frenzy be viable in D4 finally is fantastic!!
I played Thorns last season, what an awesome build it was, except against ghost and wraiths due to the way they attack from a distance.
U got my like! Appreciate the pro tips on berserking dmg bonus. 1 thing I hope, while talking about a specific gear, maybe u can keep the gear sfafs image details throughout for better correlation 😊
im one of the weirdos that genuinely enjoys some of the basic skills in the game so this is honestly so fun ty for posting this i didnt think abt ramaladnis without acore skill and snapshotting berserk bonusses with kick

Did NM100 at level 83 with this build (few tweaks). Finally i could get Frenzy in with thorns, thx!
My plan from level 1, this season, was to play Thorns Barb. I have gradually been gathering things for my build. Last night, at level 46, I did my capstone, then at level 50, I came up against a T3, level 55 Butcher, and he died within 3 seconds. It was amazing! He hits so fast that the thorns ate him alive.
Man I love this build/playstyle. I found it late in the season and won’t get to 100 before the season ends. I hope you get a chance to make this build again in season 3! It’s awesome!

I'm using the 2h axe that gives bonus to steel chain instead of kick. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but kick wasn't getting much deps.
Ive never considered a Thorns Barb...but, this...I'm gonna give it a try.
would you change anything in this build, skills, gears or paragon if running in hardcore?

lol, just beat the first capstone dungeon @ 39 with this build. Went ahead and made a low level NM sigil (got a tier 2) and cleared it easily.
Loving it and leveling it up all the way to 100 to jump in the Abattoir of Zir with it when it comes out.

The only difference I use Ravenous and Hemomancy instead of the two last ones you proposed
dude yes! Hemomancy + the kill on death and other life sucking elements and you can just stand there during wave event lol. Not even hitting shouts.

Would swap kick with steel grasp and prolly put needle flare on gloves and use ancient oath axe they buffed it also you just pull everything inside you and it dies this build is broken xD
Maybe Anemia on boots instead of ghost walker you can pretty much perma stun / stagger with that attack speed on frenzy.

Tested but doesn't synergize well with Frenzy, procs are not very frequent
Hey quick question , how does your thorns heal you when they do damage ?
i know im late. just found a doombringer. you think that would fit in well with a thorns build with all that extra live you get to scale thorns even higher?
I played this build from lvl 55 to 65 and it is just awesome. It feels really great and perform extraordinary , with tankiness, single target damage and AoE. I am not even mentionning your movement speed while you have your Berserking+frenzy procs and the vampire perk that increases speed.
There is also those accursed souls that looks like zombies and go into a Naruto run before exploding. I am not Shure but they come with the vampire power accursed touch right? It is not really explicitly explained in the description of the power.
Have tried the first version of this that you did before the season started, glad to see that it got an update! Still missing Ramaladn and some levels to 100.
Do you think this could handle and surive Duriel? I have tried Varshan, Grigoire and Lord Zir, was able to kill all three but haven't tested Duriel yet as I'm only at 75 currently.

This build does well agaisnt the uber when decked out though I wouldn't suggest Duriel as early as 75 maybe mid 80s if you're geared to the teeth, is the earliest I'd go.

Why no Razorplate?
With razorplate you sacrifice a lot of DR and resistance. Razor is good until you hit 90+ tier dungeons. Same concept for Druid’s running MAD WOLFS GLEE and INSATIABLE FURY armor. All good until tier 100.
If you don't use razor plate and new vanpitic power for thorns you cannot even call this build as thorn build..
@@ArcimagNZ have fun with your REAL thorns build at tier 90+ only then 😂. Try running AOZ with a razorplate let me know how it works.
I did a kick build and noticed no matter how many points I put into kick it didn't display any increase in damage only reduced cooldown.
How do you see the current bonus to blood rage like that? is that part of the in game UI? mine doesn't have that.
@Dalkoragaming , your build guide at the link mentions Razorplate in the write up but the chest piece im the gear section shows Aspect of Might. Assume it's supposed to be razorplate?

Where are you getting your thorns from ? Build planner doesnt really show any on the gear anywhere ?
Do you have a 2h sword equipped or as the technique to add bleed? I don’t see bleed ticks when I use a 2h sword, and with this being a dual weapon build I’m guessing you don’t get bleed from just having a 2 handed equipped. I see in the planner to use axe technique. Or is bleed coming from aspects? I’m a 1st time barb user so this all new to me.
There's a passive in abilities where thorns causes bleed.
Thank you for making a video of the build in action. I have the Magnum Opus, but it is 500 dps less than the two swords I have equipped. Should I wait until I find a Magnum Opus that has DPS closer to what I have already equipped?
If it's a 0.4 roll on the unique power you might just be ok if not I'd hold on potentially or your frenzy won't be hitting for anything

damn thx for this build. A lot of tier list put this build in b tier thats big cap. damn i played overpower builds and this build is so much more fun and so tanky. T100 is ez af and not slow like people say.. prob the best solo player build for barb!

Think you could help me make an all thorns build with razer plate? Been trying to get that going but I get a bit stuck!
Razorplate is abit problematic this season, with needing to cap resistances and all having an armor piece with no stats is super hard to get going.
think id be more tempted to use azure instead of opus. Since Opus doesnt boost thorns

I gotta say, I'm a thorn build, completely different approach then this dude. But it SEEMS that barbarian is very flexible. Even tho my build is different, I achieve the same effects (except speed).

Hello Mate. Your thorns build really helped me this season, but I'm struggling with new glyph Tears Of Blood. Have You got any ideas how to rebuild this thorns character for new glyph? I tried few boards with all passives and cannot find good one.

S0 S1 S2 thorns nm100 barb here. Very good iteration Dalkora, you are the best innovative barbarian player. I just think about your paragon board though. Couldnt we optimize it for more hp? I tried but couldnt find a better way. Both thorns and hemomancy would be stronger choices even for single target? Riddles, riddles :)
Note: And a little advice to test if you are available. Kick dmg is good but kinda with a high opportunity cost. Steel grasp with oath's +% dmg is a separate dmg multiplier for chain booms. Plus better dps uptime and efficiency for needleflare.

From what I've seen in regards to the stats, I think it would be better than tusk. Ive been trying to get one as well to test it out. the biggest thing though is tusk's unique ability with berserking, then you lose some damage reduction since tusk does give more ranks into Aggressive Resistance. The other stats aren't as important as the unique ability and the extra damage resist it gives. They're still important, i just dont think AS important.
With that being said, with the build as it currently is, I melt through 100s like they're nothing. One thing I haven't been able to do is solo uber lilith with is build and Im not sure it is possible, or if it is, it'll be extremely tough

We're using the Technique, you may need to level it first by using a 2-handed axe to attack with.

One tip. The mic arm shouldn't be in the way. Either position it lower so you just see the mic. Or above the head and mic pointing down.

Yeah, im pushing a t46 nm dungeon at lvl 74 with ease with this build. It's kind of ridiculous lol.
I can see you only get 4 res from your gear, so how do you get to 70 cap res for this build.

I had asked about razorplate a while back when and he responded the reason it was changed out of the build initially is because using Razorplate leaves you too squishy, which I agree after making the change

It's good for damage but Razorplate leaves you super squishy, use it for leveling and low tier content but when you push you need those damage reductions rolls.
Blizzard should be nerfing you, and not Barb, my guy. 😅 But kidding aside, great video once again and glad to see that you're spamming Barb build guide vids these couple of days. Keep 'em up!

tried 6 Tier100 dungeons, 76% resist cap, getting freaking obliterated. how do you guys make it look so easy?!!?!
Disobedience and basic skills grant DR aspects
Tons of damage reduction on gear (while injured is the highest % but close/far/while fortified are all good)
Getting % armor rolls is good
Just stacking defenses to the moon basically

I am just tryting to find a Barb build that doesn't instantly fall over in NM100. Have full resists and just get murdered. Sure I 1 shot everything, but walking into a room of archers or porcupines, and immediately dead.
I can confirm, I melt through T100s like its nothing. Following the guide on moba, with some slight modifications to some stats has worked out for me. Like, I dont understand why I need as much resist against elements and such as it the build places emphasis on, like the boots calling for poison (ok I get this one cause poison sucks) and lightning. Plus, you can tank most everything anyways with fortify that you get from one of the skills (Thick Skin) and then the damage reduction you get while fortified and damage increase while fortified makes the dungeons pretty much a cake walk
