It was said 45 million Chinese were slaughtered by the Japanese, hundreds of thousands of them were buried alive! I have even seen a documentary where the Japanese soldiers pushed Chinese women, children, and men into a large pit to be buried alive. My statement is not to slam Japan for the crimes, but to enlighten people on the suffering that the Chinese people went through during the foreign invasion of China in the early 1900’s and why anti-China propaganda and the call for war against China is extremely atrocious and dangerous for all sides involved. We should always talk and negotiate before resorting to invasion and war.

The CPC had to arrest Chiang just to make him fight against the Japanese.
My personal dislike for ROC was their leader let Rape of Nanking happened. The soldiers trapped the Chinese civilians inside to slow the Japanese down. The nationalist soldiers wear civilians clothings to escape. They did the same thing in Taiwan with White terror.
    Anyway..
I asked this question and got some great responds. See the source for the credits.
Can anyone explain to me why ROC lost to the CPC with only a few hundred members?
Philip Ting: US supported the nationalist during China independence war because it allow Western colonial power to continue to own the land and businesses. They lost the war despite having overwhelming fire power and escape to Taiwan. The communist won because they were supported by most of the Chinese people as they were impoverished.
Taiwan is still a colony of US. Maybe an autonomous colony.
DG CU-T: The generals of CCP were more united and won several decisive battles, where as KMT was relatively corrupted and internal conflicts among different fractions only exacerbated the situation. The "evil CCP" depicted by the western media occurred probably 20 years later after the civil war; the warrior who slaughtered the dragon become dragon itself.
Michael Zhang: Before ccp, there was a party called KMT that was corrupted and plunged China into poverty and civil war. Come here to China ask any elders beyond 70 yrs old hows their life before ccp. You'll know how grateful they are. (Yes I'm telling you from my personal experience because all the elders in my families love ccp.)
Yin Zhen Yang: kmt has too many faction infighting, its run by ex noble and big landlord families. In a country consist mostly farmers and peasant and drought, feminine run wild.
Every soldier u train potentially coming from poor rural farmer family, the vision of a country where everyone were equal, every fortune are share, is.way more attractive that fighting for the landlords whom doesnt treat u like a human.
Basically kmt is in the situation of every collapsing dynasty, overthrow directly or indirectly by the peasant or farmer uprising.
    Source
    th-cam.com/video/uCylfY21l3Y/w-d-xo.html
The fact is the economy was destroyed before CCP took over. Go to check what ROC did in Shanghai. The commodity price are rising every second, even university Professor’s monthly wage can not afford one meal. Further information you can go to check the results of the first 5 years plan and first 3 years plan.
    -Chaos Andy
The KMT released the dams of certain regions to slow the Japanese advance, thereby killing thousands of innocent Chinese people. Not to mention this made thousands homeless. The KMT preferred to sacrifice the Chinese people.
    -Teo Chiang Tee
China was in deep poverty ever since the Qing Dynasty lost the Opium War and robbed by the western powers through treaties. KMT's corrupted government brought China into even deeper trouble. When KMT retreated to Taiwan, they transported hundreds of ships of gold with them hence China was basically valueless. CCP was left with nothing.
    -Jeff H
The Western imperialist powers have always propped up dictatorships when they worked for their interests that is, I am not surprised Chiang Kai Shek's Republic of China was a dictatorship suppressing its own people's rights and freedoms for the benefits of the imperialists, that was why eventually the Communist Party gained support of the people when they saw through the true colour of Chiang's party.
    -F Liu
When the Republic of China Banned .. Basically Everything
    th-cam.com/video/f1ZlQcp0daA/w-d-xo.html
If you're still reading, check this out.
Chris wallace: Mao became a leader for the Chinese peasants by sheer grit, at a time when they took on both the brutal Japanese occupiers and the self-serving business elite (the Nationalists). Americans are appalling ignorant about China during the difficult years (1930's-40's). The US foreign service in China at the time (a highly competent, knowledgeable and professional group of civil servants) recommended that the US support Mao but the US government turned them down, kicked them out of China and replaced them with an inept but politically responsive legation that supported the Nationalists. This led to a freeze on Sino-US relations for the next 20+ years!
神州 Shenzhou: Mao Zedong saved China, he transformed China from a weak and divided country into strong and unified one today. When Dr Sun overthrew the previous Qing Dynasty China and established "democratic" Republic of China (1912-1949) China was divided into several areas, we lost control of Tibet, and various warlords ruled different parts of China and even Japan invaded China twice during this weak period of Chinese history. Dr. Sun tried to get help from the Western powers, but they laughed at the thought of China copying their democracy. They even gave away the Shandong province (which had been occupied by the Germans during WWI) to Japan, instead of returning it to China (even when China was part of the Allies during WWI). In the end, Dr. Sun died without ever realising a unified China under democracy.
But then Mao Zedong came along, and he accomplished what the ROC could not, and reunifed China under communism, proclaiming the People's Republic of China in 1949 and Tibet was finally returned back to China in 1951. If not for Mao Zedong, China today would still be weak and divided country, fighting among ourselves, instead of the strong unified country we are today.
The CPC had 600 battles vs the Japanese and kmt.
A lot of brave soldiers lives were lost.

But all the Chinese slaughtered, were innocent people. Many were tortured to death by the notorious 731, who'd experimented with gross butchery on them.
Their PM Abe, had unrepentantly posted a snapshot of himself Infront of his country's fighter aircraft with the tail no. 731 on it, not long ago. That was intended to remind of their ferocity in the war against the Chinese. Any sensible Chinese will take cognizant of the message.

Thank you to the brave Magee family for filming an extraordinary dark period in Chinese history, one that one country wish to forget and that must be Japan. Their atrocities have been documented on film as evidence telling the world the brutal ways the innocent civilians of Nanjing were subjected to and the way they were killed, in COLD BLOOD without a reason. Yet the Japanese have denied the atrocity ever took place. Rewrote history in the way they wanted to portrait. A despicable act.

Every year there’s a remembrance day of the atom bomb attack on Hiroshima. However, there NEVER was any such day remembering Japan‘s countless war crimes everywhere.
Even worse: It took Japan almost 40 years after World War II to apologize for the atrocities of Nanking.
The atom bombs dropped on Japan finally ending that cruel war definitely had the unwanted effect of turning Japan from a war crimes nation to a war victim nation.

      JAPAN IS “NOT GUILTY!”
      Before any anybody criticizes Japan,
and acting strangely, mostly on behalf of America nowadays,
      consider the following facts first:
      1. The United States has been militarily occupying Japan with
its most advanced troops on the island of Japan.
      2. According to the UN's "enemy clause"
America has made Japan his puppet.
      3. The Enemy Clause not only prevents Japan from protecting itself,
but also allows the United States to attack Japan at any time.
Then we have to consider the new findings,
that was uncovered after the rise from China.
That is, the truth about Japan during World War II that has been revealed by relevant parties in recent years.
      The main ones are:
      1. Zhang Zuolin the top leader in China right before the sino-japanese war started, was not assassinated by Japan, but Stalin.
In another word, there was not reason for China and Japan to
      fight a war!
      2. In 2017 the U.S. made public his 70-year-hidden
Wartime records of the Imperial Japanese Army and testimonies from the Tokyo Trial and did a reinvestigation and found:
      “Japan not guilty!” in wwii.
      3. Here are the two crimes that we are most concerned and the truths about them:
      • Nanjing Massacre:
Chinese soldiers were killed by Chinese frontline command supervision units under chiang kai shek, not by the Japanese:
American journalist F. Tillman Durdin in The New York Times
Reports said he witnessed the death of many Chinese soldiers on Dec. 15.
The bodies formed a small six-foot mound in Jiangmen, Nanjing, in the north.
On August 14, 1987, Professor Toshi Kasahara made a report on the pile of Chinese corpses.
Interview with Durdin. Durdin said the cemetery was before the Japanese enter the city.
As a result, the Chinese soldiers were not killed by the Japanese army. He says:
"These corpses are Chinese soldiers trying to escape...I think the pile of corpses
was formed before the Japanese army occupied there. There was no
fighting involving the Japanese Army. "
Japanese troops entered Nanjing on December 16, 1937, after this
      happened.
      • The Comfort Women Incident:
Because no new incriminating evidence could be found,
thus, it is proven that the Japanese military did not have anything
to do with any comfort women incident.
It is a group of anti-Japanese Chinese living in the United States
who urged the anti-Chinese US government to do the above
      reinvestigation.
As a result, the United States spent 30 million dollars,
eight years and scrutiny of seven million documents,
      The final conclusion is that,
Those Japanese crimes that spread around the world
      were fabricated by China.
      So many American veterans,
began to spread to the Japanese people that it was a lies of the Chinese Communist Party.
But what they don't know, based on the actual testimonies,
those "Chinese Communists" are actually "Chinese Kuomintang" who
      were puppets of america.
So, we can't let America do what they did in World War II again,
that is, with China and Russia as proxies

Operation Ichi-Go is an operation conducted by the Japanese Army on the Chinese mainland from April 17th to December 10th, 1944 during the Sino-Japanese War.
It was the last major offensive of the Japanese Army, which caused the National Revolutionary Army to be hit hard and affected during the Chinese Civil War. However, on the other hand, the United States is also mediating the conclusion of the Double Tenth Agreement with Chiang Kai-shek in order to avoid a civil war.
According to a study by Barbara W. Tuchman, the results of this operation had a more significant impact on the subsequent war situation than the Japanese had imagined, and had a decisive impact on Japan's fate. According to it, Franklin Roosevelt has consistently strongly trusted and supported Chiang Kai-shek since the beginning of the war, and encouraged him in the war against Japan so that he would not drop out of the Allies in a single peace with Japan during the Cairo Conference. However, he said that he changed his mind because the front of Chiang Kai-shek collapsed due to this operation. In fact, Chiang Kai-shek has not been invited to important Allied conferences ("Yalta Conference" and "Potsdam Conference") since then.
According to the Stilwell document, Roosevelt said, "Can China win?" Stilwell said, "There is no choice but to eliminate Chiang Kai-shek." During the 1944 Hengyang battle, he could not sleep at night and twice. He says he thought about suicide. The American side also planned to assassinate Chiang Kai-shek, and three methods of "poisoning", "aircraft incident", and "pretending to be suicide" were considered, but it was canceled in 1944 due to changes in the international situation such as Burma. The successor that the United States envisioned is Sun Fountain.
As Roosevelt's Chief of Staff George Marshall and General Joseph Stilwell have long insisted, Chiang Kai-shek's army is actually a demoralized and corrupt organization that does not form an army. It became clear that he had no desire or ability to fight with the United States and other Allied forces.
As a result, President Roosevelt changed the scenario of the operation against Japan from the conventional bombing of Japan and other countries from the air bases of mainland China to the one that MacArthur and others claimed to occupy the islands of the Pacific Ocean one after another.
China was dismissed at the Yalta Conference, and the Allied nation's footsteps were disturbed, with angry Chiang Kai-shek presenting a peace plan to Japan against the will of the United States.
The Japanese Operation Ichi-Go attack left the National Revolutionary Army with 750,000 casualties. This caused the Kuomintang to lose to the Communist Party in the civil war. China would not have been dominated by the dictatorship Communist Party if it had made peace with Japan and cooperated in protecting it from communism.

I have seen a documentary video of the torture during the Nanjing massacre. OMG, It was so "Cruel and Evil", and how they cut up people and threw a baby into a big pot of boiling water.
