You should try Fortaleza. The whole range is great, but you’ll love the blanco and the still strength blanco. They are the gold standards amongst blanco tequilas.

Not positive. You can try 1000corks.com and search for it or order from OldTownTequila.com. They’re on the west coast, but I live on the east and have ordered from there and the cost with shipping is still very reasonable.

You just said there are no good blancos and that’s not true. I can think of 7 off the top of my head that are better than Codigo 1530. Fortaleza, Clase Azul Plata, G4, El Tesoro, Pasote, Grand Mayan, and Dos Artes. Now I will say I just tried Codigo 1530 blanco and Rosa for the first time a week ago and it is very nice, it might be one of my new favorites and almost in the category of the ones I mentioned above, but saying there are no good blancos…. That’s just not knowing your tequilas. I will say I can’t speak for Number Juan. I always see it but haven’t tried it

All fair points man. We’ve actually most of those now and can completely agree with you. Our tequila journey has been a wild one, and we were woefully ignorant when we started. We figured we’d come at it from a newbie standpoint and boy, have we been schooled. Pasote and Senior Rio rank as my two favorite blancos right now. Forgive our naivety; we’re trying to make up for it in our newer episodes. Cheers! -Lyal

Lop. Tried that. Was told that was absolutely wrong. So...we give up. Doesnt matter what we call any tequila any more, someone thinks it's wrong. So all we care about is the taste anyhow. Say it anyway you like though! Thanks for the comment sir. ~cheers

That cheesy funk is one of my favorite things about Number Juan blanco. Can’t wait to try Codigo blanco after seeing this. As of right now Number Juan has my pick for best tequila I’ve ever had… so far

I’ve slowly grown to enjoy that flavor. It was kinda off putting at first but it’s the mark of something good for me (at least with blancos). I’m gonna recommend senior rio & pasote blancos if you haven’t had them. Delicious. Of course, there’s nothing wrong with number Juan. Alex and Ron make some tasty juice! -Lyal
