A cliffhanger ending like that loses most of its impact when the story is being told in first person. While we don't know what happened to the person, it at least indicates that they survive. Otherwise, they would not have been able to tell the story in the first place.
@@yuh9850 I was once told that this is because, in the "old days", sometimes people who were simply comatose would be mistaken for dead, and buried alive in cemeteries. It was enough of a problem that sometimes people would be buried with a string around their index finger, leading up out of the dirt and connected to a little bell; if the person was indeed alive after all and "woke up", they would ring the bell. It was someone's job at graveyards to patrol around the graveyard at night, both to deter graverobbers and so that someone would be there if any of the bells rang and they could call for help to dig the person out. Now, working a shift at a job which requires you to be up all night is referred to as a "graveyard shift". Or at least, that's what I was told is the origin of that term.
Me: "There's a creepy man in here who might try to come back and kill me" Manager: "did you ask him if he wants to donate to our monthly charity? If our store wins we get a pizza party!"

I used to work the night shift at a small store, and we got someone ask my co-worker ask her if she waas alone, she started flashing a green rag in front of the security cameras which were visible in the back, I noticed and walked out pretending to restock. He left, and came back when he saw I headed to the back again, after that I switched places with her and took the counter. At the end of the shift I walked her home to and noticed guy had been following us. Long story short the dude came back and the local cop arrested him, it had been the fourth time he was accused of stalking women.
Act like him and text the number back “now you’re alone... with me” And come closer to the window and hold up a red jelly filled donut and squeeze it. If I was that creepy guy I would be frick this he’s scaring me. A murder doesn’t want to mess with another murder.

PART 2 IF THIS VIDEO REACHES 1M VIEWS. not gonna happen lmao For now, I'm going to find another horror story to animate :) Edit: AND IF YOU REALLY REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT TRULY HAPPENED, JUST WATCH THE ORIGINAL VIDEO. The link is in the description.
Okay, I'm not sure if this is just me, but something thats helping me be less scared of this story is the fact that this dude totally looks like Gru. Maybe it's just me, but it certainly helps remove some of the fear.
I worked at a Dunkin Donuts and had to get there around 3-4 in the morning. There were a few homeless people in this area, and one lady would look for loose change people dropped by the drive-thru window and look at me quickly before walking away. Scared me every single day for no real reason. Just the hours and being alone.
They really let you guys work alone?? I worked at a convenience store and we needed at least one person for each entrance/exit 24/7. Working completely alone sounds scary.
How many have you seen?? 4?? I'll agree that it's at least better than some of the true garbage out there that can't even be called animation , bars it really isn't. But when compared to some of the truly great animation here on TH-cam I have to wonder if you truly think that or... I don't know man. But whatever, entitled to your opinion
A similar thing happend to my sister: She worked at a small deli shop and it was Halloween night, around 8pm. She was tidying up since closing time was only half an hour away and there werw no customers anymore. Only the cook was with her but she was currently taking out the trash so she was alone when something creepy happened: she looked up to the big glass window and there were three masked guys standing behind it, just staring at her. Since it was Halloween she ignored them and went about her closing duties. Their heads followed her around as she went about the store, sweeping and cleaning the tables. Once she looked up and waved at them with a smile and they waved back and left. She laughed thinking they must've gotten bored that they received no scared reaction from her.
Good for your sister! Nerves of steel I'd say. I used to work in a hotel, about 14 years ago. Because I'm quite obliging by nature, the head chef (I worked in the kitchen) would ask me if I'd deep clean the whole kitchen at night time. It'd take me from 10 at night till about 6.30 the next morning. I'd have the entire kitchen to myself, so I could work at my ease. Anyway, one night, about 1.30am, the kitchen telephone rang. I figured it was the hotel manager, as he was the only other person in the hotel as the night Porter was off sick. It was a small country hotel and there were no guests at all, as business was a bit quiet, but there was a group of German guests due to arrive the next day, as well as a bus load of guests from the UK. Anyway, I picked up the phoned and identified myself, as per standard. No reply, which I thought was odd. 2 minutes later, the phone rang again. This time it was the manager, asking if I was OK. I replied that yes I was, I had finished one set of chores, and was about to commence the next set. I told him about the phone ringing, he said as he was about to speak, he noticed a weird, suspicious looking guy on the security camera, and in getting a closer look, accidently put down the phone. I said I had to take the rubbish out to the skips, and he urgently told me not to go outside under any circumstances, and to lock the door. I did as I was told at once. I remember my fingers shaking as I locked the door. I happened to glance out the window, only to see what I remember was a very large man's face peering in at me!! I gave a yell, telling whoever was there to get lost, and I was calling the police. The manager heard me and came running to see if I was OK. I remember him remarking how white my own face looked, and my complexion is not normally what one would describe as pale. He told me to leave my work and come with him to his office. He gave me a brandy and said he would drive me home later, and I had to leave my own car at the hotel staff car park, and collect it when I'd like to. The security screens were on, but I was too scared to look at them, in case I'd see that bizzare face again. The police were called. They searched the place both inside and out. They found nothing. The manager drove me home. I was due the next 2 days off. When I returned, the manager informed me that he explained to the head chef what had happened and he wasn't to put me on any more all night shifts, that in future, the deep cleaning of the kitchen would have to be done in the early evening. I stuck the job for a further 9 months. But as time went by, I still didn't forget the fright I had. I was so unsettled by it, even after all that time, that not only did I quit, but I left my home country of Ireland, and moved to France, where I stayed for nearly 7 years, only returning home on holidays. As for the owner of that oversized face? As far as I know, he, or it, had not been discovered. I honestly don't think it was a prank. Later, I was to learn, that the hotel was built where a large old house used to stand where the owner murdered his wife and then hung himself. Even to this day, I don't feel safe going outside my house after dark, especially as I live in the country. This is my own story and all of it is true. As for the hotel? Well, it closed about 5 years ago. Recently, the bistro there had opened up, under a new name. To my knowledge though, businesses is very slack there....

Astonedment I have a question. Why is is called the graveyard shift? Is it because of this stuff and have you experienced similar situations?
WELCOME TO HELL ! Graveyard shift implies it’s a 3rd late shift in the middle of the night.
WELCOME TO HELL ! Yeah basically if you work overnight shift at any job its called the graveyard shift

That was very nice of you to help her out like that. Thank you for being a good human.
@@yadirarivera2387 nah,the green rag was the hero of this story

I worked at a Dunkin Donuts and had to get there around 3-4 in the morning. There were a few homeless people in this area, and one lady would look for loose change people dropped by the drive-thru window and look at me quickly before walking away. Scared me every single day for no real reason. Just the hours and being alone.
That happens in our drive Tru . Every single time this old man appears out of nowhere.
My second job that I've ever had was like that except there was always the same homeless person
